Can we talk about the real Jojos here?
And by that I mean Jonathan and young Joseph, not that boring old man from part 3, not the edgy nips, no twinks and definitely not a damn woman!
The first two parts were a masterpiece but I thought part 3 was meh and never even finished part 4,
I loved how it was about muscular men using ripples to fight other muscular men, then those faggy stands took over and it just wasn't the same.
What are your guys opinions?
>What are your guys opinions?
Gappy is fucking ripped, opinion discarded.
Are you serious? Jojo starts being decent with part 3, when stands are introduced, the fights start to be more interesting and the characters are becoming more bizarre and unique.
Part 1 is shit, it's just your average hero of justice going to beat the baddie. If you want to see deformed manly men just punching each other go watch hokuto no ken.
Also if you think that this is worse than part 1 drawings you are retarded.
It's just not that same, I don't know why but the ripple was so cool and different while stands seem like to same old recycled shit. Maybe it;s just me and I'm expecting too much but the start was so perfect I guess I couldn't expect it to go on forver
My reply stands, maybe it's just me personal tastes, and yeah, I like the whole hero of justice thing, but I also liked how Joseph was an asshole as well
>What are your guys opinions?
every jojo is the expression of the years when it's written
That's one thing about part 3 that pissed me off. Taking out the literal ultimate being was cool as fuck, then he just turns into some normal old dude and no one ever mentions it again.
>Taking out the literal ultimate being was cool as fuck, then he just turns into some normal old dude and no one ever mentions it again.
He's fucking 67 and stopped practicing Hamon because he's a lazy bastard with 99 LCK and didn't stop to think of what would happen if another vampire came along. What did you expect? Him to brag that he soloed all of the Pillar Men some 50 years ago, which isn't at all relevant besides knowledge on how to deal with vampires? His time to shine was up, just like every other Joestar out of their respective parts, and he was considerably lucky to be still kicking by the time the universe reset and have as much presence throughout the entire series as Jotaro.
I think they made the best jojo with Joseph and couldn't properly show improvement in the way they did moving from Jonathan to Joseph. So they nerfed the fuck out of him to make Jotaro look good.
i like the muscular men, and hamon.
but to hate the well-proportioned art of later parts is just fucking stupid
While it's still probably bait, I'll respond seriously. The reason it feels like "the same old recycled shit" to you is because stands are literally the origin of that particular ability system. Others have copied or imitated stands, but stands were first.
Meanwhile, the reason you think the ripple is cool and different is because supernatural martial arts as a theme haven't been popular for a long time.
Back when 1 and 2 first came out, there was a glut of them and it was getting old, no one could tell one from another, it was as bad as reincarnation LNs today. You haven't been exposed to those though, so it seems new and interesting to you.
Thank you for responding properly, I know now why it seems different to me, I haven't watched any anime since I was a child so I suppose I've missed out on the cultural context of them.
I should probably correct myself though, technically stands weren't the origin, although they were the origin of that particular system in anime and manga. Araki has mentioned that stands were inspired by astral projection fights in old X-Men comics.
Did you just freaking forgot that he stopped training??
If you don't train the ripple, it doesn't work properly.
He didn't train, he got old and can't use it as well as he could in the past.
Which also wasn't that strong in the first place, it's what this anon >>133800156 said
He just had 99LCK and a barrier of protagonist bullcrap.
Lisa Lisa was trained by Straits since a very young age in Hamon. Joseph trained for a month, total. Lifting weights in your twenties for a little while does not guarantee that you'll keep your gains decades later if you don't keep training.
Who cares? Their stories are over. Does every JoJo have to be the same, buff clone? I'd rather every JoJo be different in some big way.
Jo2uke is kind of too twinky though IMO, but I still like his character.
>Is he so lazy?
Is that a legitimate question you're asking about Joseph Joestar? He's not stupid, but he's only street smart and an incredibly lazy, lucky bastard. He only trained for a month and rused an apex predator to effective extinction. For all he knew, there would be no more vampires, and thus he could live the good life only having to worry about his real estate business and cheating on his wife.
>For all he knew, there would be no more vampires, and thus he could live the good life only having to worry about his real estate business and cheating on his wife
He knew that he could stay young, but decided not to train for it because of laziness? That's a retardation for me.
The stands may have been great but S3's attitude to villains was not. The villain of the episode route was terrible and barely gave anyone outside Jotaro's group any character. Even DIO only lasted like 4 episodes before it was over and he was the main villain.
At least with Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency (more so PB) there were main villains from the start and stayed until the end of the season.
Maybe he wanted to grow old together with his wife. Also people are incredibly fallible with their health in general. It's not too far-fetched to assume that Joseph just continued to stop giving a single fuck.
>At least with Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency (more so PB) there were main villains from the start and stayed until the end of the season.
You're going to like Part 4 then. If you haven't read it yet I mean.
Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency were much shorter than Stardust Crusaders, and were also incredibly guilty of Villain of the Week.
>Ogre Street thugs
>Jack the Ripper
>Araki has mentioned that stands were inspired by astral projection fights in old X-Men comics.
i've seen this being thrown out there several times but there is no evidence to this.
straizo looked 60 at 75
lisa lisa looked 30 at 50 and died anyway at 88
that's not terribly much, and they had to train daily for that.
better live hard die hard and trust the good old Joestar genes to look ripped even when pushing 70.
>thinks Stands are boring and recycled shit all the time
>never even finished Part 4
Holy fuck OP you haven't seen shit. Why even bother complaining about Stands when you haven't even seen the surface.
Part 2 did really cool things with the Ripple but it was still generally stuck to beings that had light as a weakness. Stands allowed for a lot more possibilities in characters and abilities. That wasn't well done in Part 3 which is probably why everyone new has that initial aversion.
Most of these contribute some kind of significant advancing to the story. Although this is really just because they were so much shorter. Part 4 did it nicely by having a lot of characters return, even if for only a few moments.
If you don't understand why villain of the week was the large structure of part 3 you're an idiot.
Araki introduced an entirely new concept with vague rules. Having a new character every week (and the early ones joining the hero band after being defeated) allowed him to rapidly iterate on the concept of Stands, sure, at the expense of overall characterization but this is remedied in later parts.
Really? Out of the two twinkiest JoJos (Giorno and Johnny) and a punk girl, you picked Gappy as the most effeminate one? He's actually just as toned as Jotaro (without the retard muscle) and has shown nothing but alpha characteristics.
Agree completely with this. I hated how it went from part one and two's idea of "there's these incredibly powerful enemies and we'll struggle at every step to beat them" to part three's "oh look, another harmless stand user. Okay, done. Look, nother harmless stand user".
In parts 1 and 2, the enemies were menacing, so there was a thrill in knowing who'd win. In part 3
which was only redeemed after they got to Egypt, there was no true worthy villain until Vanilla Ice
This random thought just appeared in my head but humor me /a/:
What would Punpun's stand be if he had one?
The one thing that I don't like about EoH right now is that the voice acting for a few characters (Kosaku-Kira and Diavolo come to mind) seems to have gotten "weaker" since ASB. More specifically during their DHA/GHA.
Giorno is only 15 in that picture, even Jonathan was a thin lanky child.
To quote some anon from the previous thread,
>"He's the son of a vampire using a victorian era englishman body that's build like a tank's bigger, meanier, meatier brother. With a wee small bit and dash of jap so you're not gigantic."
He's going to be fucking R I P P E D as an adult.
Why do you think David Pro is under some obligation, or even capable of in the first place, using all the VAs that some random video game did? This whole notion is retarded. If they happen to like one of the VAs from the game and it's financially feasible, they might use them. Otherwise, they are free to do whatever they want. It's not like the fucking game and the anime are made by the same company/studio. Fuck.
It's just such a weird situation, because in Japan they freak the fuck out when voice actors change, and when an actor dies or whatever the character might as well be dead.
It's insane, but it has some upsides.
That's why this entire VA changing thing is so shocking, it's not how anime production works, normally.
Where's my alt costume, Bandai?
Voice actor reprisal is a big deal in Japan. Not keeping the same one is like disrespecting their parents or some shit.
Hatano Wataru was emotionally affected by the replacement, but in a "pass the torch" respectful way. http://blog.haoto.main.jp/
Adult Giorno would literally be the hypest thing. The best part of Giorno's character is that he actually seems and acts like a mafia gang member, so I was really excited to see how he would lead the Passione gang after the Diavolo fight. It's a shame Araki will probably never revisit his character.
Which is just as weird, man.
I don't think you really get this, or how it works.
IF A CHARACTER IS VOICED
THAT VOICE ACTOR IS THE CHARACTER
OR THE PEOPLE WILL LOSE THEIR FUCKING SHIT
End of story.
Voice acting typically precedes the medium there so it's still strange, but you have a point in that legally speaking they had no obligation to stick a video game production. It was still expected for both the Part 3 and Part 4 anime though, and David (or Warner Bros.) went against the grain.
D-does this mean no steamroller?
DIO without his roller is just an abortion.
I'm not trying to be a dick but this just indicates that you don't understand how "it" works. It IS strange that a game came out and almost fully voiced the entire cast of the manga while barely any anime was out yet. But it has absolutely no bearing on what future adaptions are going to do.
Honestly I find it strange people are upset in general. This happens all the time. Also, it already happened with this particular series, with part 3. But people are still surprised and freaking out. It makes no sense to me.
Because Polpo was alive in 2012 and worked as a security guard for Bruno and Abbacchio, right?
Holy fuck you are wearing on my goddamn nerves.
It's not about anime.
If an official product was commercially released that assigns voice actors to characters, then from that point on, those voice actors ARE those characters.
Do you not understand? It's a very simple concept. Changing voice actors DOES NOT HAPPEN in japan. No, it doesn't happen all the time. What happened with Part 3 and this is baffling considering what normally happens.
This is only normal outside of Japan, where no one gives a flying fuck about voice actors. Personally, the whole system is stupid and this way of doing things is much better - if you need a better voice actor or one whose schedule works out better, then go ahead and make a replacement.
But I'm not talking about opinions, I'm saying this is NOT how Japanese media does this.
Honestly, it feels like Warner Brothers is calling the shots on this.
>Do you not understand?
Stopped reading there, not interested in the ramblings of someone trying to educate me on something they have no conception of. Think about the fact that the very nature of this discussion is evidence that what I'm saying is correct.
Enjoy your pointless anger, and prepare for years of frustration, because David is never gonna use 100% the same VAs as the games.
>Enjoy your pointless anger, and prepare for years of frustration, because David is never gonna use 100% the same VAs as the games
You know what? Honestly, you're making yourself look like an idiot.
Not everyone that disagrees with you is a samefag, don't be so sensitive and keep me out of this petty squabble.
I just hate when people discard the rest of an argument due to one or two words, it's pathetic.
Who else is sad that Prince would never allow an ending song?
>Personally, the whole system is stupid
>go ahead and make a replacement.
>Enjoy your pointless anger
Anger over what? He said he prefers it this way. But I guess you wouldn't have got that because you stopped reading halfway through like a whiny little baby.
Post potential part 4 ending songs here:
Its gonna happen trust me, i work for David.
what the hell is the point of that picture?
Wait, are you talking about senile part 4 Joseph?
If you were to try and achieve Heaven, what would your 14 words be?
Wouldn't REGULAR Gold Experience be the best for beetle battles, though? What with control over life, and everything.
For remaining unseen while fucking with the battle, if not GE, probably Crazy Diamond. Healing its injuries as they happen sounds useful.
So, I'm confused about something. We know now that the rock people are the bad guys. But are Higashikata family people good guys??
>Implying Giorno gave a shit.
He didn't even care if people did drugs. He just didn't want people selling drugs to kids. And that wasn't even his main goal.
Like >>133828741 said. He just wanted to take over. He wanted to be a Gang-Star.
They're not evil, they just seem like assholes who just want Josuke dead REALLY badly, and are really interested in the fruit and want anyone affiliated with it besides them dead too.
holy shit Deadman Kira
>He's going to be fucking R I P P E D as an adult.
>giorno with jonathan body
Deadman Kira costume is boss.
Although i kinda would have liked it if he was his own character
>Can use his ghost pistol to shoot people
>can go hand to hand with stands
>his super would have been tossing some of the eggs that would then turn into Erasers.
You might already have this one, there's also the Giorno one here >>133820201
Animefags are the worst
Jonathan is worst jojo. Literally a fucking buff dude that have no character other than "I have to do good"
Steel Ball Run is the pinnacle and Jojolion is on the road to becoming just as great in its own way.
I've been really fucking curious about how that all works actually, considering the fact that DIO is a chimera but still produces offspring with noticable simularities to his biological makeup.
I read it straight from the manga itself only a few days ago that Gio's golden hair was a result of his stand.
>Before Giorno joined Buccellati's Gang, he had his hair free, looking similar to his father. He originally had black unkempt hair; the color changed when his Stand was awoken.
Memories serve me right, too.
what the fuck are you on
>Jonathan is worst jojo. Literally a fucking buff dude that have no character other than "I have to do good"
>Joseph is worst jojo. Literally a fucking buff dude that have no character other than "I have to trick you!"
>Jotaro is worst jojo. Literally a fucking buff dude that have no character other than "yare yare daze"
>Josuke is worst jojo. Literally a fucking buff dude that have no character other than "I have to do good"
>Giorno is worst jojo. Literally a fucking twink dude that have no character other than "I have to become a gang-star"
>Jolyne is worst jojo. Literally a fucking butch chick that have no character other than "I have to stop Pucci"
>Johnny is worst jojo. Literally a fucking twink dude that have no character other than "I have to find the corpse"
Looks likes it's not the Janitor one.
>showing your asshole to stand users
no fxxking for those autists who didn't like it
Taste is subjective, but I personally enjoy Jonathan due to the fact that he isn't another dashing rouge like Joestar and is fairly different compared to the others. His character development is some of the best in the manga, and I respect him more than any other JoJo. I'ts not like he's entirely flawless either, he's deeply flawed in the fact that he's gullable and easily taken advantage of, there's a certian level of naiveness to him that keeps him from being a gary stu perfect mc even after he's fully matured. I don't think there is an objectively worst JoJo from any standpoint.
Still unsure on where this one is from.
>mfw Bohemian Rhapsody
>mfw Heavy Weather
Jesus Fucking Christ, you guys weren't kidding when you said Part 6 was weird.
I still hate it, fuck that comic.
Last one unless someone wants a request.
>Some people hate part 6 because its so fucking bizarre.
I loved it though, it was so fucking bizarre but in a good way. It felt like I was peering deep into the thought processes of a madman. Everything that seemed initially incomprehensible came together like clockwork.
>even Jonathan was a thin lanky child.
Did you even read part 1?
That's not a good example, but yes, he was thin as a kid.
Like I said, Giorno isn't trying to make the country a better place. Being a Gang-Star is exactly what it sounds like. He want's to be a famous gangster. A star. A gang-star.
He hates Diavolo because he allowed his gangsters to sell drugs to kids, but that's it. Giorno is looking out for the kids and no one else.
I want to see this crazy fucking mess become a costume, it would've been perfect.
Shoulders and biceps like these would be impressive on somebody twice his age.
That's the anime redesign, not the original artwork.
Also, shirtless Valentine and Old Valentine, with battle-damaged D4C
Fine you win, Jonathan was swole as fuck while still a child.
With anchor arms like those, how could he ever lose to the kids that picked on Erina though? He got his shit kicked in pretty badly by them.
I was sure I had it in my pc but I couldn't find, here it is anyway
That's just because PB was a world of swole. Even random thugs had linebacker shoulders.
or he could have a moveset based around his minimal use of KC, so epitaph and KC's hand like in the risotto fight. eventually you'd be able to change to diavolo? idk, i think they could do something cool with it
Parts 4, 6, and 7 (and kind of 5) introduce the villain fairly early and run until the end of their arc. Not including 5 they all have a solid set of ideals they work toward even more so than the pillar men and Dio
Giorno's legit awful, but if that Tumblr post is accurate it might just be the shitty translation. How could you possibly talk shit about parts you haven't read? Are you retarded or something? Why are you so bad at anime? Holy shit please go somewhere else
So far we have the following special GHAs :
>Jonathan + Zeppeli
>Young Joseph + Cesar
>Jotaro + Kakyoin
>Jotaro + Polnareff
>Jotaro + Old Joseph
>Jotaro + Jolyne
>Old Joseph + Avdol
>Old Joseph + Josuke(4)
>Josuke(4) + Okuyasu
>Koichi + Yukako
>Kira + Kira
>DIO + Dio
>DIO + Giorno
>Giorno + Mista
>Giorno + Bruno
>Gyro + Johnny
>Gappy + Joshu
>Polnareff + Iggy
And probably a few others i missed.
I really hope we get more villain ones. I'd really love to see Pucci + DIO. Or Josuke(4) + Josuke(8).
Where the fuck can I find all the scans for this and in high quality?
Only the 4 on the left in this picture are in HQ.
Araki's curent art is fucking great, but he should never fucking draw Jonathan or Jotaro in it.
His sameface issue comes and goes. It wasn't there in 1-4, but 5 had a horrible problem with it. 7 was find until the end chapters and it was really only Gyro, Johnny, and Lucy with the sameface issue.
Then all of his redraws of past characters in the early part 8 style ALL had the same face, and part 8 is finally out of the sameface problem it had since SBR.
Basically Araki has periods of sameface. Especially in the covers for some fucking reason, because in the panels the faces aren't as samey as the covers.
>it was really only Gyro, Johnny, and Lucy with the sameface issue.
Part of the early part 8 issue might've had to do with the fact that he was doing a whole bunch of promo stuff at the time, including working on Jojonium and the museum stuff.
Doc that picture supports my point, was that your intention or did you misinterpret what I said?
Even moreso because that's a cover, where the issue was at its worst.
It's so hard to tell the difference between those two versions though, the chnges between Johnny's face and theirs in that pic are so minimal
ill still never understand how somebody whos been drawing for more than 25 years forget how to draw muscles
slightly related though, i do like how in EOH, Diegos The World is a skinny twink like in the manga
>toned athletic body
He knows how to draw muscles NOW, not the other way around.
His old art certainly wasn't anatomically accurate but it had a more organic feel to it, while the way he draws muscles these days is at times more mannequin-like and symbol drawing.
i was just exaggerating
im mostly just glad they actually made a new model and didnt just reuse the old The World model and replaced the hearts with D's
I like how the devs made Dio on a Horse and Scary Monsters Diego look different physically but subtly, mostly with how they stand and how they shape their mouths.
Not just with Dinomode
It's so fucking subtle but very affective, and shows they really cared when making the same characters seem different.
I'm made Diego uses fucking knives, not wires or matches. Hopefully he does that in a unique special against Johnny, ala Johnny using Act 4 to open Valentines Safe Space and wreck him
A few months back someone capped posts of me and other anons who got down other Jojo music as well like more anime music and Hol Horse's theme. Anyone got that? And in return, after many eons, I've finally got down the gist of "The Kakero the Bluff" from the SDC ost for piano if anyone wants to play with it.

Anyone ever translate the how to play shit for the second demo? It's completely different from the first, and while I understand all the basic shit I have no idea what like half the meters are or how to affect them.
I thought it was fucking awesome how he used wires to try and fucking murder Johnny, or set him on fire with the world.
Another thing I wish he did instead of knives is the attack he used to wreck Johnny, stops time, shoots a bullet and has The World punch him as the bullet hits him. That was brutal as shit.
So I've been thinking about the dub, and I think I've come to terms about JYB as Jonathan.
I don't like him and I think he's a poor Jonathan, but I'm consoled by the fact that he's only in nine episodes and now will never voice a more prevalent JoJo or side character down the line.
>there will be people in the future who will prefer the dub to the original
It's very subtle, but what I think is basically Dio on a Horse has more pursed lips than Diego.
Maybe I'm just imagining the difference, but Dio on a Horses mouth shape and even his expressions seemed different from Diego's. Probably to match his obviously different personality.
Maybe It's just me
i think i get what you mean
Diegos lips seem a lot more different than alt Diegos when you compare em
He sounds way too posh and nasal. It's true he's supposed to have a big ego, but his smugness is more about being overconfident than thinking he's above the impoverished peasants like the dub portrays him with. I mean the first thing he did in America was pal around with a poor black kid. Formality clearly isn't on his list of priorities.
Wait a fucking second, fucking Tycho was Dio?
shit meant this picture but close enough i guess
That's probably the difference. I like to believe he shaped the two Diego's mouths differently to cleverly show their different personalities in their faces.
Wishful thinking I guess
You don't actually think that sounds good, do you?
I kinda wish we get https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ww5GXbk58R0 for the ED on the episode where Keicho gets sucked into the outlet
I tried to not be a dick but he kept pushing. You're telling me you don't have a breaking point?
That wasn't me, pic related.
6 hours late there. Way beyond the point of people still caring.
You know what I'm most thankful for in EoH?
Of all things, two Puccis.
Why? Because if there's two, at the very least one of them will get a new theme, as Pucci's old them is COMPLETE DOGSHIT
Also, C-Moon is my favorite stand visually, and it needs more love.
That's typically because they have a standor some other method that lets them do so. Araki saw how shounen series often had characters just shrugging off damage and he decided to give a reason for that in later parts of JoJo.
People lurk the Jojo generals. Better late than never, it's important people see not everyone that shares the same opinion is the same poster in these threads. It happens constantly and is very cringe.
Can't wait for this. What will happen to the goddamn president?
I like all Jojos. It's true that sometimes it's a pussy Jojo (Johnny) but the other characters make up for it (Gyro). And Jolyne is best Jojo girl.
Not him but what's the problem with WMP? I understand why it's shit for videos, but do people still consider it bad for playing music? I'm seriously asking cause I'd be willing to switch to a better program if there's one out there.
He's going to be chested and he'll be motivation for Johnny to want to kill DIO
The final battle will be he and Jonathan against DIO. The two Jonathan's against DIO, a perfect final battle.
Not so sure about that when Jotaro is the first JoJo in the trailer to lunge at Heaven Dio while Jonathan just stands there.
As for the other villains, we all know what Pucci and Kira have to do with the plot but what about the Pillar Men and Kira?
Is this hinting at some sort of localization?
>The two Jonathan's against DIO, a perfect final battle.
I feel like Gio should be in there too, having a personal stake.
Kira shouldn't give a fuck
Kars and the Pillar Men might be interested in the corpse if it means a suitable replacement for the mask/red star of Aja
He could barely learn it from a master, in fact he failed to effectively learn it the only reason he did so well is because he was born with really strong Hamon, and you think that 40+ years later after not having used it the whole time that he could have taught it to someone else?
Supposedly at its earliest stage Stardust Crusaders was going to be similar to Bram Stoker's Dracula (no sauce, sorry), so I presume that might've been a plot element that got scuttled.
Jotaro was probably shit at it
He beat 3 Pillar Men with it, I wouldn't say he's shit at Hamon. Plus look at the shit he could manage before training too. The fact that he could still do what he could after years out of practice is a testament to how good he WAS.
Like I said he was born with a lot of natural talent for it, all he did was coat himself with it, when he was learning from Lisa Lisa he struggled to learn a lot of it. Being able to do something just because it clicks with you and being able teaching it to someone else is pretty different
>5 had a horrible problem with it.
Narancia, Mista and Giorno all have pretty distinct faces. Everybody else blends together, but I wouldn't say part 5 was full on part 7 or even part 6 bad.
Speedwagon and Stroheim are two characters who need to ham it the fuck up every time they open their mouth. Stroheim did a decent job, but Speedwagon didn't lose his shit well enough for a character whose entire shtick is losing their shit.
Only read the manga. Even before the anime (Not the old OVA though).
Thoroughly enjoyed the first 2 parts, hated how they switched from the ripple to "magic, I ain't gonna explain shit".
Also hated the "enemy of the week format"
I think I dropped where there was that guy absucted by the yandere hair monster, or something.
You're not alone OP
In some cases, yeah. Lucifer can be a Persona, and would obliterate half the existing Stand users, with only the most broken ones like Made in Heaven or GER ever Standing a chance
>they freak the fuck out when voice actors change, and when an actor dies or whatever the character might as well be dead.
Why do people always say this? The only times I can remember people getting upset was when other things were involved. People bitched about Kouji in Shin Mazinger because they were mad it wasnt just like the old Toei show. Some people were upset over Four's VA in the Zeta Gundam movies being different from tbe TV series because there were rumors her new VA was banging someone on the staff, but most of the female cast had new VAs and no one had any major problem with those. Other characters that have been around for ages like Captain Bright or Ryoma Nagare have had new VAs because their original VA died or retired and I've never heard anyone having problems with their new voices.
Last one for now, Jotaro's HttF battle theme. And thanks for the post earlier Doc, I'll add these to it.

Why am I not surprised that the only Anons that hate Jonathan are /pol/ shitposters?
I don't know about the Stardust Crusaders dub(its not out yet)but the Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency dubs are good./a/ will complain about the British accents but the characters were British in the manga so the voice actors are doing their jobs.
