It's sorta ironic, isn't it? Sinbad's main argument against Kouen was that it was far too dangerous for him to be using the help of Al-Tharmen.

Now he's basically utilizing the help of both David and Arba, knowingly, two mages who are literally older than the current world and who's dabbling with the power of a god directly contributed to the last world becoming a necropolis. And this isn't even counting the fact that David apparently saw all of this happening centuries ago as shown in >>133798744's shot. If you look closesly at the panel, in the last square his pupil is where Sinbad is, meaning that hundreds of years ago he saw Sinbad being born and chose him specifically as his vessel.

Sinbad describes himself as "using" David, there's sorta the implication there that David isn't sharing all of his knowledge... or that allowing David to do so would leave Sinbad himself unable to resist his influence. Aladdin literally felt that something was "off" about Sinbad before any of the Alma Torren stuff. Like... the first time Aladdin MET Sinbad, before Aladdin even knew who he himself was.

It doesn't take any supernatural powers for kids to be more keen on when adults are lying than adults are. Yunan could pick up on it too years ago, that's why he stopped being Sinbad's magi.

Seriously, when's the last time Alibaba did anything important? It was literally before the Civil War arc. Even before then, he didn't do much except follow around more important characters. Even the whole crisis in Balbadd, his HOME COUNTRY was resolved by Sinbad, not him. Alibaba conquered one Dungeon by borrowing Aladdin's power, then basically did nothing all plot. I'm really hoping that changes soon, since we're on the "final" arc now, but so far he's been a very bland main character for someone who's probably going to be King in the end.
