I think we can pin down the reason for Eizans inevitable defeat now.
My guess is that Soumas penchant for experimentation has helped him discover new dishes and flavors no one has ever considered before, and Eizans handsoff approach doesn't allow this. Souma will win because of creativity, originality and love of cooking.
Heck, the final line by Souma is probably going to be something along the lines of "I knew you preferred not to cook. That's how I knew I was going to beat you."

Eizan is going to lose because of his lack of experience in shokugekis, the same way Kuga lost because of his lack of experience in running a restaurant and Alice lost because she misinterpreted the theme of the shokugeki with Souma.

The moral will be that Eizan could not match someone who devotes his 110% to cooking every day and has been battling it out from day one if he himself spends all his time making the most money possible.

this would be valid complain if Aizan was aware of his role as a minor villian character but from his current POV there is no way Souma could win.

I don't think Souma will win this, otherwise it would just make the rest of the E10 look like garbage if Souma can just run in there and take out Eizan without any planning. I think this will end up with the judges tasting both sides dishes, then end up as a draw somehow because of outside interruption and then everything is called off.

After this chapter, I'm thinking Azami shows up and judges the food himself. He then gets super upset that Eizan made worse food than Souma and the judges feel like they HAVE to agree because Azami is the real final bossaru.

The story is just writing itself into making the "MY JUDGING IS MOVING ON ITS OWN" storyline as awful as possible. At least this way Azami is cemented as the bad motherfucker.

Being okay with failing, learning from his mistakes, and a load of stuff learned from his dad and other things are usually the REAL reason he wins something, along wit big clanging brass balls. Probably the clearest example of everything that makes Souma Souma is the breakfast buffet challenge of the training camp.

Honestly, Eizan is right. Cooking is an activity that requires careful preparation if you really want to do it right.

Souma's great at thinking on his feet and flying by the seat of his pants, but sometimes he doesn't plan things out right and it has cost him before.
