I don't think so. At first the "monster Kuro" was only a tiny parasite that go inside the cat, who was probably dead or severely injured in the moment for the crash, if the parents of Coco were still alive he probably kill them after the transformation... but I doubt it. Coco probably was injured too, and I'm sure that It was Kuro who save her.

How does this chapter fit in with Coco's first lines about Kuro having left one day and coming back on his own and the ominous extra where they don't show Kuro's face after he comes back from the window? (Although her mother didn't seem to notice anything strange then so all that might just be misleading.)
