I think you guys should give this a chance if you haven't already. I was skeptical at first because the art style is low tier but it works well enough. The story itself is lighthearted and has some genuinely touching moments.
Definitely not a perfect film but if you have an hour to kill and want a quaint tale you should definitely check it out.

Saw it at Annecy, the rotoscoping is bad and the 3DCGs are complete shit. But the movie is unbelievably funny, it's a really good comedy. If it had a proper production it would easily become one of the best japanese animation movies to come out in recent years.

Can't believe Mitsuo Iso wasted his talent on this. The movie is pretty awful in terms of animation. That aside, it's a pretty charming film though.
