Why are the rebuild films so shit compared with End of Evangelion?

EoE = just the last 2 episode of the tv show. It's barely even a movie.

Rebuild is a theatrical take on the show which shouldn't bring about the autism it does, since naturally no film will ever have the depth of a 20-something episode series. Some of you act like you're incapable of understanding this concept, others are assmad Reifags.

6 hours should be more than enough time to get the depth of the series if they're trimming down the fat and being focused. But they can't even do that. And to say that EoE is barely a film because it's a theatrical version of the last 2 episodes is pedantic at best.

I mean, I don't know you, but if you actually think the Rebuild films are shit, then I have to assume that you don't know what you're talking about.

The Rebuild films are a continuity within the storyline of Eva as a whole, and can't even be deemed bad until 3.0+1.0 comes out and at least puts some closure on the story.

The reason EoE is greater is because
A) It's over
and
B) It covers the most bad ass part of the story, that part which Rebuild hasn't gotten to yet.

EoE was just so over the top, it was a fun ride from beginning to end full with mind fuckery.
The first Rebuild however was just a HD remake
The second was a bit nicer on making the remaking look more exciting, but still without the mind fuckery
The third one was just a sad excuse to give Kaworu more gay ti.., i mean screen time
