What an ending.
>>133699941
I know this LN has a time loop theme but thats it.
>>133700208
that's just the first volume man
and thelast___one
the second, 3-4, and 5-6 handle 3 different scenarios that lead directly up to 7
it's really well done desu
>>133699941
did they fug?where was onee-san sleeping while MarĂa was taking care of her crop?
>>133700208
Please leave this thread and read it.
Don't open a single Hakomari thread until you've finished all 7 volumes.
>>133699941
Is this one of those LNs people hype up but turn out to be shit when they get an anime like SAO?
>>133700405
I have 0 faith that any studio could do the LN justice. It's just not a series that's good for adaptation, though the LNs themself are pretty good
>>133700405
Nah, the nips liked SAO. The nips didn't like this.
>>133700405
Read the first volume and find out.
and get the fuck out of this thread, fast.
>>133700455
I agree, and yet, I'd still like to see a studio try. It would at least offer something completely different, a type of story you never see in anime anymore.
What studio would be the best for adapting this anyway?
>>133700651
I was actually thinking about this for a bit while reading volume 2
and then realized in volume 6 I was imagining shaft color-screen and shit like in Monogatari
so I'd probably say shaft but that's probably not a great guess
>>133700752
>>133700651
Shaft probably is the best bet though.
>>133700651
KYOANI
>>133701180
They could probably make maria pretty moe but I don't think they'd do too well animating all the timeskips.
For all the edginess I wasn't expecting that ending. Seemed so weird I skimmed most of it.
No to Shaft, they're too self indulgent for a story as heavily character driven as Hakomari is. They will insert all their Shaftisms like the head tilt, the abstract background etc and it will distract from the story.
No to KyoAni because it will be G-rated. That would be a disaster.
Honestly, if I had to pick a studio, I'd like to see White Fox or Silver Link try. They have their share of duds, but are both capable of crafting strong, to-the-point anime, and understand how to capture the essence of the source material.
With that said, I hope Hakomari never gets adapted. What are the odds of it getting an anime anyway?
>>133700354
please answer
>>133702133
>skimmed most of it
Kill yourself.
>>133702346
>silver link
Shit, I meant Satelight
>>133702346
Literally none. Although I'm somewhat disappointed that it won't get an adaptation, at the same time I feel as if this shouldn't get an adaption at all.
>>133702474
Am I the only one who thought the illustrations in the novel last novel were poorly done?
>>133702579
Nah I thought it was like an homage to the first few volumes art.
>>133702398
University?
>>133702579
Kind of, but the art has been changing constantly throughout the series despite being the same artist.
It was shit
>>133702346
>White Fox
I was also thinking this too desu
they did a pretty all right job with steins;gate, just hope they don't outright change things like the opening chapter and the chapter with Mr. Braun
>>133700651
SHAFT.
All the "Daiya movie scenes" would be great. Just imagine it: 1.85:1 aspect ratio for the first movie, then as the movies go on, the aspect ratio keeps getting wider and wider, ending with a 2.39:1 ratio; super saturated colors; a shitload of filters in every single movie.
They could also find a way around the visual representation of "O" and the identity of some mysterious narrators with their over-stylization.
>>133704381
>>133704381
Holy fuck, kill yourself.
That's fucking horrible.
Shaftards are the worst.
>>133702133
It honestly reminded me a lot of End of Evangelion for some reason. At least, that's how I visualized it in my head. The epilogue (ending) was actually understandable and wrapped everything up well, though.
The first volume was charming, but the rest should never have been written.
>>133705602
i disagree
I didn't like the first volume much but I liked the rest of it a lot
>>133705602
>being this retarded
>>133699941
Great LN. Why haven't more people read it?
>>133706057
because it's complicated and nobody reads LNs
>>133706129
Death Note was complicated and it has a pretty large, almost religious fanbase.
Sword Art Online, Oreimo and Mahouka were all LNs that hit huge popularity, and none of them are even 1/100th as good as Hakomari.
>>133706571
Sorry, it's Good and an LN, so there's no physical way it can get popular
So /a/
Where did boxes come from?
>>133699941
this was realy bad ending
spoiled LN
So we all agree this was a great ending?
>>133708584
It was a fantastic ending.
>>133706571
>Death Note was complicated and it has a pretty large, almost religious fanbase.
Death Note isn't complicated at all. Light spells out everything he does to the audience.
>>133707874
The question iswhere did THE box came from?Onee-sama 2 stronk cannot be stopped.
>>133708892
But that's wrong; he didn't spell anything out in the lead up to his ultimate gambit against L, IE- Keikaku Dori.
Also even then, it depends on what your interpretation of complicated is. While there's a lot of exposition detailing everything that occurs in Death Note, they're still complex scenarios that can be hard to keep track of if you're not concentrating.
As for other interpretations, here are some extremely popular works that could be interpreted as complicated:
Oyasumi Punpun
Steins;Gate
Ghost in the Shell
Berserk
>>133706057
Because it's overrated here and really not all that good. "Good" compared to most LNs doesn't mean much.
>>133709215
Nice buzzword. What do you consider to have a better story than this?
>>133700651
PA Works
>>133708913I was trying to bait people into labeling me a retard and read the novel properly
It had an immensely satisfying ending.
How is it that 99% of japs can't end their stories for shit, and all of a sudden this guy ends it perfectly? It just doesn't make sense.
>Turn the realist nigga in the series in to a vegetable
Thank fuck the shit flopped.
Overrated shit.
>>133706057
Because its overly convoluted shit.
/a/ loves this kinda shit though. Go watch Lain again why dont you.
>>133710563
He's fine in the end.
