>KnK was more popular
>You have no your own PVC figs
>No one cares about Mahoyo
>Not even your own makers
>A major VN release, not some Fate spinoff or irrelevant platform, is unnoticed
>Everyone cares only about Fate now
W-Well. What went wrong?
It just wasnt that compelling. Dont get me wrong it looked great and sounded great but the characters were a bit flat, making Aoko a standard Tsundere when the audience knows her to be genki and starting a new series about characters that people havnt really been asking for all contributed.
I'd rather a Tsukihime 2 or remake or some kind of modern day Clocktower antics rather than Aoko's youth. I prefered her when she was an aloof and mysterious weapon of mass destruction.
People have shit taste. It can't be helped.
mahoyo is pretty good from what i've read so far.
fate is long dead to me.
>muh secret low popularity secret club
You realize that Type-Moon is aiming to get cash, right? It's not a niche studio anymore. If their product is unsuccessful then they will not bother milking it.
And without it we will not have any extra content.
Trolls. Mahoyo only wasn't as successful as Fate or Tsukihime comparatively. The main reasons people were upset with it had nothing to really do with the content of the story itself but that it had no voice acting, H scenes, and how short it was after taking so long to release.
>Nobody wanted Mahoyo in the first place.
>Trolls. Mahoyo only wasn't as successful as Fate or Tsukihime comparatively. The main reasons people were upset with it had nothing to really do with the content of the story itself but that it had no voice acting, H scenes, and how short it was after taking so long to release.
It also had no
TM used KAG for the last 10 years for tsukihime, fate, HA, and everything VN related. Mahoyo does stuff way beyond what KAG can do. No idea what they use now, but it looks amazing.
It's not like Mahoyo threads are much better as they are now. We have that one guy with a grudge against brunettes, people asking about the translation, people stopping by to remind us what a failure it was and the usual assortment of faggots.
I'm overjoyed every time we actually get some kind of discussion about the game, its story or the characters that aren't Aoko and Touko.
I admit that I know next to nothing about VN engines, but doesn't this mean that Mahoyo still runs on Kirikiri2? Not sure how KAG plays into this, mind.
/a/ has been a bastion of the western TM fanbase pretty much since it was born.
Nearly all the "early memes" I remember are related to F/SN or Tsukihime in some way.
With great popularity comes great shitposting, but dont let that fool you. Its beloved here.
What F/SN did with KAG was already pretty impressive.
When we finally do get the Turkeyhandle remake I hope the audio and visuals are on the same level as Mahoyo.
However, one thing they cant change is the Title Screen music. That needs to be exactly the same. It gives me an immence nostalgia rush every time I hear it.
Oh its on.
>mfw I made half of these
Any of them with the writing also done in paint is mine. Holy fuck 2009 seems like so long ago.
This. A lot of people don't understand how popular Tsukihime and Fate were here, to say nothing of the Fate anime.
Threads have been pretty bad as of late though. We're at the point where there's not enough recent content to improve the threads but they've been become popular enough to promote shitposting.
Hell, the threads these days are fine. There is that one faggot that creates his retarded shitposting meme threads but he generally contains himself to them and they are easily ignored and reported.
The threads were always pretty bad, especially starting 2009 or so.
Pretty much the repetition of the same topics several times every days forever, it's like the fans themselves were stuck in a loop
This please. That theme gets to me, and I'd hate to lose it so much. Even the version from the remake trailer felt like a downgrade, though that's probably just the nostalgia talking.
They could redo the background image, but I'd hope they keep the same general composition. It's very calming.
I hold the OST for F/SN and Tsukihime in equal high esteem but the tital track for Tsukihime is probably the most atmospheric tune.
Well, maybe equal with This Illusion and EMIYA.
I really don't agree, feels like we're stilling suffering the fallout of UBW.
True enough, I guess.
I think my favorite Fate threads had to be the ones while Zero was airing. People really got into it. The KFC stuff had me in stitches.
Grailbook was something special.
Watching Carnival Phantasm with /a/ was also fucking exceptional.
Oh well. Still, have some Sendai for your troubles.
Mahoyo sold really well though, for VN lacking VAs and H-scenes.
Mahoyo OST time, post your favorites.
Always a pleasure to see an optimist around here.
Same here. Velox and his comic series were also great, along with that whole doujin series where Shirou just wanted to express himself with the power of song.
The thread where this image was generated was also fucking golden. I thin k it was a general "anime + topgear" thread but this post stole the show.
Guess I'm retarded. They still use kiri.
>all these old TM memes
Well if we are having a nostalgia rush, best get this one in
>uploaded 7 years ago
>all those TM comedy doujins on gakugaku animalland lost to the annuls of time
Don't forget the Repetition soundtrack.
Post your face when freedomburgers can't watch this video.
Damn, I've never really taken the time to listen to Repetition before. Great track.
It has the side effect of making the wait for the sequels even harder, though.
That's not really a good feeling.
Except I just did.
This one was also one of my favorites
>that Shiki one
>that Assassin One
>that Touko one
I havnt seen these in years and my sides are gone all over agian.
>The man is a fucking enigma. I dont know how he has never had his image taken and uploaded to the internet in these past 15 years.
You've seen both Nasu and Takeuchi many times but you never realized who they are.
The best way to hide yourself from everyone is to expose yourself to everyone.
You thought it was some random girl on live Type-Moon fest, fan or maybe an unimportant employee but it was her, miss Nasu.
>posting some old memes
Reaction to Hisui route was true until the very end.
If you know what I mean.
>the meme is dead
Why would you need a god damn hentai from Nasu the mollusks lover?
Don't tell me H scenes from Fate or Tsukihime actually managed to give you erection.
>Don't tell me H scenes from Fate or Tsukihime actually managed to give you erection.
Love this meme.
A number of his H-scenes are great. They arnt the ones that are "remembered" beacuse they arnt so hilariously silly but they are good all the same.
Honestly, the only VN I've read since that has beaten Saber's 2nd scene, Kohaku's scene, Len's scene and Akiha's scene is Majikoi.
You realize that they needed to put H scenes just to make it a better seller, right?
They are not using H scenes anymore. Not in Extra, not in Mahoyo. They'll most likely skip on hentai in Tsukihime remake as well.
They are big names now and silly hentai is not needed anymore.
I am very much aware. And it worked.
Ends justify the means, anon. They wanted to suceed in the doujin and VN market so H-scenes were necessary.
Infact its probably the lack of H-scenes that resulted in Mahoyo getting a lukewarm reception
>They are big names now and silly hentai is not needed anymore.
Its that kind of hubris that will cost them dearly, if its what they decide to go ahead with.
With Mahoyo you can make the argument that because it was "new" and "its own entity" that they could proceed without H-scenes (though I still think the lack of them harmed the sales in Nipland) but with Tsukihime if they leave them out they will face a huge backlash.
This backlash will be especially severe from their "core" fanbase who bought Tsukihime originally back in 2000. I cant see them risking alienating their old fans.
Cant see how people didnt fap to Saber's 2nd one.
The music, the atmosphere and the actually well written romance and chemistry between them in the scene was great.
To this day I consider it his finest H-scene.
I don't care much for Saber as a love interest, but yes, romance and atmosphere is so imporant it can make or break a scene. Rin's scene had the romance setup, but then turned into the brutal jackhammering. Should have just been tender loving before their possible deaths
on one hand it takes several years to be able to read the source materials after their releases if you can't into moon
on the other hand it keeps the casuals away. Well, those who weren't already turned away by lenght of the works, or Tsukihime's art
Little hard to have it when it was made for PSP. However, they sure as hell implied one happened.
Dont know, I never bothered to do a third play through with archer. Still sitting on my computerthough. Maybe I'll turn on the cheat codes and run through the game real fast and find out some time and capture it.
A quick and unreliable google job says this though.
>Archer: Wait a second, I thought you were from Egypt, not Babylon! You don't have to touch me there...
Anon confirmed in a recent archived Fate thread. Contract is up after Heaven's Feel. No more Fate stuff by UFO afterwards unless they renew. Will try to find source.
Can someone explain how the 5th works? All my searching gives me Google translate tier flowery incomprehensible babbling.
something something magic entropy, magic thermodymanics with time fuckery, but not just time travel
it also may or may not eventually cause the heath death of all magical energy
>Remind me again, did Ufo animate everything in KnK?
The only major changes is in 6th movie.
well animation is kinda bad. Like people will shit on ufo for overusing particle effets or CG, but DEEN/stay night has actual QUALITY or even rehases some bits of animation.
As for merging the routes, it doesn't do it that much concerning UBW, since they then made a UBW movie, but they do try to tie in Heaven's Feel with Sakura, in one of the dumbest ways possible. You might also find problems with given how much an adaptation is limited in time, what they chose to adapt and how they do it. For example, the scene of Rin attacking Shirou at school, you can compare of they and ufo did it to see the difference in tone.
Otherwise, the art isn't THAT bad when it's not shitting the bed and the OST is decent in some places too.
Well I guess if I ever run out of shit to watch in the future, I'll check out DEEN/Stay night for animated Fate route. But since there will always be other anime, I think I can let this go the way of Turkeyhandle
