Those girls are old and busted.
So, which KyoAni masterpiece I should watch next?
Remember when arguments on 4chan involved actual arguing (however bad and however flame-y), and not just retarded "I hold the TRUE 4Chan™ opinion, if you disagree with me you must be an OUTSIDER"?
NOPE. What the fuck is this old grandpa shit? I started watching anime when it was cool, back in 2013 when the epicest anime ever, Kill la Kill aired and me and all mah reddit friends loved it and said okay this anime shit ain't too bad. All anime before that is shit, except for SAO. That's really cool. This MOESHIT killed the injury. Thankfully, KLK and SAO saved the medium and ensured we got more masterpeices like Tokyo Ghoul and Amagi Brilliant Park!
Lucky Star and K-On! are GOAT
Next CGDCT by Kyoani when?
Tamako Market was also fantastic.
I remember when media 10 years old was considered 'old' or 'retro'
I attribute it to the use of computers+modern techniques. for example, in the 90s they still used drawn cels and traditionally painted backgrounds, which seem a lot more dated than stuff from the 2000s onward, which do things digitally
I like Konata because she is a otaku like me, except she has friends. Oh god I wish I had friends too ;_;
Konata also likes videogames and she is kawaii. And there are lesbians in the show and that's good because I like lesbians and I will never have a girlfriend. Why am I such a loser?!
Konata is like my dreamgirl she has a :3 face I love that. She is also nice why aren't real girls nice!? I got dumped a lot of times but I love konata and she wouldn't dump me because she's so nice and cool.
We would play videogames all day and watch Naruto and other cool animes on TV, and I would have sex with her because sex is so good. I wish I could have sex with a girl.
why do people like lucky star? I watched the first episode because of all you spazzing out about it and was like, wtf is this shit?
the only thing i remember is one of the characters saying, "how long will i have to sit here and listen to this inane conversation?" and I was like, yep, that's exactly how I feel about this fucking show.
The first episode is the only boring one.
>tfw fell for the it gets better meme
Only if you can't appreciate a top tier SoL
KyoAni mostly operate in-house so their designs get homogenized and employing a new designer wouldn't make much of a difference.
Would have no problem with Market just being a cute SOL. But beacuse of that fat bird, and that shit storyline they sort of forgot they were doing it all just felt like a mess. Movie was their redemption 10/10 stuff.
The only reasonably unlikable character is Dera, but I liked him.
The only thing preventing it from being another 10/10 masterpiece by Kyoani is the islander subplot in the last two episodes when all the characters suddenly became retarded.
Cute boys doing cute baking by Takemoto
>9 "Tori no Uta," Lia (Air)
Sorry, K-On, you were something like the grandmother of Love Live, but nobody remembers your music. Time for fuwa fuwa time ;_;
Lucky Star is what killed anime. K-On buried it.
You cannot deny this.
>haven't watched the film yet because I know it'll make me sad
But it always makes me feel very good first.
Then sad, yeah
I can't remember which ones are real anymore.
>all these obnoxious personalities in one place
>friend forces me to check out lucky star as it airs
>think it's shit
>don't touch anime for the next 6 years
>give it a shot again
tfw doomed myself to be a newfag
It was really good but I don't think it reaches the levels of Haruhi, Lucky Star, or K-On!.
That's subjective. I loved KnK and Tamako Market is one of my favorite anime.
You should have mentioned Amagi though. That one was just "good".
Remoras aren't helpful; they ride the currents of other fish without moving their own fins. They aren't harmful, but they basically ride others' coattails.
Kinda like Lucky Star, really.
Amagi was really fun, but it wasn't top tier. The visuals were good, the execution was good, the comedy was good, but none of it was "amazing". It was simply a good adaptation.
I hope Ishihara and Yamada work on something together again. Euphonium was magical.
Its a shame, really.
People pin Kyoani as the greedy moeshit studio because of 2 actual moeshit shows, when in actuality they are one of they few studios that pay employees a decent wage and actually focus on projects they have fun with.
I do believe they took the reigns from Kyoani as the new masters after keion ended, but Kyoani laid the foundations and will always be the SOL forebearers. They were utterly irrelevant back when those classics were made.
I was already confused thanks to Kara no Kyoukai no Kanata no Katachi. Those all need new non-alphabetical abbreviations.
Also it sort of peeves me when lowercase letters get used. I always read KlK as "kik" instead of KLK. Why was の decided to be lowercase when English capitalization rules don't exist for it?
KyoAni found a way with boy managers so they can do the same with mahou shounen, believe.
Their immune system suffered after Endless Eight, and Nichijou's flop was the fatal infection.
A shame about Nichijou, really. It was Kyoani's one truly distinctive show in terms of art.
A - Hibike! Euphonium, Hyouka, K-On!, Nichijou, Tamako Love Story
B - Chuuni (haven't seen S2), Haruhi series, Tamako Market
C - Amagi Brilliant Park, Clannad
D - Kyoukai no Kanata
I think that covers what I've seen. I just did alphabetical, easier to do tiers than rank each show in order. K-On! is my favourite.
K-On!, Lucky Star, Disappearance
Haruhi series, Chuuni, KnK, Tamako Love Story, Clannad, Nichijou, Hibike, Hyouka, Amagi
A tier is pretty much stuff I enjoyed the most, B tier is includes decent things I really enjoyed (KnK, Chuuni) and great things I didn't really enjoy (Hibike, Hyouka, Tamako Love Story)
S tier: Hyouka
A tier: Nichijou, Fumoffu
B tier: Hibike, Chuu2 S1, Amagi
C tier: Kanon, Haruhi
D tier: Free
E tier: K-On!, Air, Chuu2 Ren
F tier: Lucky Star
Haven't watched enough of the rest or it has simply been too damn long and demands a retrospect (ie. Clannad).
A: Hibike! Euphonium, Hyouka, Nichijou, K-On, Tamako Love Story
B: Tamako Market, Haruhi, Disappearance
C: Free!, Lucky Star, Fumoffu
D: Amagi Brilliant Park, Free! Eternal Summer
F: Kyoukai no Kanata
Each of them.
So do you just watch Naruto and bleach all day. Choke on shonen cocks you fuck
Fuck you and this lame ass thread. It needed some Haruhi liberating.
Nah, they hate my monotone threads.
Are you kidding? This thread is full of shitposting, there's not even any conversation.
/a/ shouldn't be the place for shitposting either.
To me, this is will always be the best thing KyoAni ever did. I miss the Haruhi before it devolved devolved into E8 memes.
This thread sucks dude, cut it out.
You realize that there was actually discussion in this thread further up right? I mean sure, there was shitposting too, it's a Kyoani thread, but image dumping actively discourages conversation by drowning it out. No one comes to this board for fucking image dumps.
No there wasn't
>for no reason.
I'm just posting the best KyoAni girl like this anon >>133697215 wanted. Isn't that post REAL discussion like you said?
Yes there was. Just because it wasn't the exact type of conversation you wanted to have doesn't make it not conversation.
Also, where the fuck are the mods? Why don't they do their jobs?
OK I'm done.
I was the only one keeping this thread alive anyway.
See, that's what I'm thinking they'll do. Yamada has stated a bunch of times that she wants to appeal to larger audiences (look at her take on K-On! for example), and the subject matter seems appropriate, and unless I'm wrong the manga is quite popular? At least award winning.
>I can't prove what I said so I will cry about being called names
Chin up son, it's not the end of the world.
You forgot Shitobako
Yamada seems like the rare director who might escape into the mainstream and become the new Miyazaki if only she had the right opportunity. It'll happen eventually whether it's Koe or something else. The one-shot was a big success but I don't know how well the series did.
Everyone does it. I don't want Kyoani dead; their fanboys just piss me off. They do animate well; they just always seem to pick such boring story material.
My favorite studio is Shaft and even I admit they can be pretty sloppy at times. Shaft's golden age ended with Nisekoi; when Shinbo came to the conclusion that the masses will watch anything so long as it has headtilts, Tomorrowland architecture, and Inu Curry.
I think she's got the raw talent, but I won't pass that kinda judgement until I see more from her, y'know? Very well could be an "only as good as her scriptwriter" type director. She's got a very likable and distinctive style though.
>doesn't read the credits
>just assumes because one shitty studio outsources to vietnam then everyone must as well
Why am I not surprised
>tfw there will never be anime about growing up on the streets of Compton
You underestimated how much shit taste anon capable to have
Have you ever consider if he's actually dead serious?
Just the other day I heard somebody said that denpa onna is their favorite anime of all time
Not only >>133700620, but it turns characters into jokes and rapes other characters. And the plot was pretty silly.
The only person who benefited from season 2 was Kumin really.
A+ Rank: Nichijou, Clannad
A Rank: K-On, Haruhi, Hyouka
B Rank: Kanon, Hibike
C Rank: Kyoukai no Kanata
D Rank: Free, Amagi Brilliant Park
F Rank: Air
Still have to watch: Chuu2, Tamako Market, Lucky Star, Full Metal Panic
Koe no Katachi is going to be a masterpiece able to top and replace Miyazaki's works in terms of being a beautiful film and becoming the most known face of anime.
