>"Don't say it as if I don't have any at all!"
>"I have some!! I'm quite proud of their texture and elasticity!!"
Remember, guys: It's not all about size but also about the quality of the material.
And out of curiosity, has watching the anime made any of you pick up any of the haremshit LNs this season?
I know this will pass in a couple of months or whenever winter season begins but I will never forget the miracle that is Nikaido Mari.
Why are you responding to Stellafag?
The LN is entertaining as fuck so I think this series will stick with me for a damn long while.
>"Well, that's because, y'know——I'm first-rate, right?"
She really is a miracle, her scenes are almost always the high point of the volume.
I want her to win so badly guys ;_;
So there was no TvTropes page for this series (somehow, the guys over there are usually on top of things), so I made one and have been editing it for a while.
Does anyone have any good quotes you think really suit the characters? I need one for Ouka, Ikaruga, and Usagi, but I don't really want to go searching through 11 volumes for it.
Also some for the side characters would also be helpful.
Would this work for Kyouya?
>"The revenge is the meaning of my life. If you want to embrace the hate for magic, there's no reason for me not to lend you a hand. Our goal is the same, if we cooperate it'll go faster."
As for Kurogane, it's hard to capture his entire character and ideal in quote but I do like this one
>"With all due respect, I don't want to sacrifice a single civilian. As long as I'm here I won't let a doomsday like the Hero attack happen."
Thanks, those will work. For Kurogane I had "My law won't be shaken", but since that was the chapter title rather than something he said I was thinking of changing it.
The books are published at a pretty decent pace (I think there's been one released every 3 months). So I think the threads will last past the anime season. At least I hope that's the case, Anti Magic threads are really chill compared to series like Yahari.
I was honestly never the biggest fan of characters voiced by Kanae Ito but she's doing a damn nice job with Mari
At this point, you have one of few jobs left Silver Link. You're eycatches have been on point so far
But Takeru's Eyecatch better have all the girls on his
A nigga after my own heart.
>You will never experience Mari's "bumps"
Everyone from the main crew deserves a vanilla doujin with happy childbirth end
It's tough being Takeru.
Man, I actually don't care for any of the ships in the show so far. The only thing I want is for
everyone to be happy and alive at the end.
From how things look in the most recent volume, I wouldn't say everybody.
Death count is pretty damn high in this series, and one of the main girls lost an arm and a leg.
She got better though, more proof that Mari is best girl!
When will the suffering stop ;_;
So guys would you be fine with Anti Magic ending after they take down
Sougetsu Ootori? Or would you guys want some sort of continuation past that if it could be done?
Personally I wouldn't mind it ending since everything has been building up to that point. But I think the world is interesting enough for the author to come up with something that'll make the adventure continue. Thoughts?
Honestly, I would be fine with it ending, I mean after you kill God what else is there to do, plus the only way to continue this would be to just introduce a new invading world or something crazy like that and honestly I am fine with the series ending in two volumes or so.
True, but I don't think it necessarily needs to up the stakes. One of the major issues in series like Index or other action based light novels is that they feel each threat needs to one-up the previous ones in magnitude. Which, in my opinion, leads to power creep and making previous characters irrelevant.
I would be fine just seeing more platoon antics more than anything else. But I guess that's what side stories are for right?
Basically yeah, I mean you could depower everybody after they kill Pro-Golfer, specially if you went something like Takeru is so injured he can't sword anymore, but honestly after killing God it just wouldn't be that tense. Plus like I said, from where would you bring a new villain, specially since we have basically seen all the factions in this world by now, and if someone was gonna do something they should be doing it now since the world will be ending soon.
That's some really shit taste you go there.
This is actually the first time I've ever been annoyed with the MC going the not kill route.
I mean I understand the circumstances and the emotional reasons why.
But she is legit killing people because she wants to now; instead of simply being a misunderstood demon girl.
Also the make-out session really creeped me out. And I'm a guy who tends to spam Taikari art in digimon threads.
Then it's working,
Kisekiis meant to be annoying, scary and a bit unhinged. And yes the kill route is the proper one, but sadly he wants to save her... and I feel the author might go the cruel route and have it end with Takeru being unable to save her.
I honestly don't know what happened, the LN threads were perfectly fine with minimal waifu wars. But then S2 happened and now you can't go through a Yahari thread without it happening.
Those were some dark days to be an Irohafag
At least it didn't break out into a circle jerk this time.
I'm hoping the author goes midway and has
Sougetsukill her off. Would prevent the double suicide from happening and would be in character considering what the guy wants Takeru to do. Since he's a god he should be capable of killing a demon right?
Nah, he has to do it himself, I think it would be the greatest heartbreak when Takeru has to face the reality where he has to sacrifice someone because he can't save everyone. I guess I want to see if he really will cling to hope in that moment or if he will turn like
Kurogane and Orochiand start to walk the path of compromise with despair in his heart.
Probably not, it's really implied that for some reason that guy is really powerless even though he has a big role in the world, so he probably can't kill Kiseki or he would have done it way before.
>happy childbirth end
Did you do that intentionally anon?
It is a circlejerk now, it is inevitable since the LN fanbase isn't big and anyone who doesn't like the anime probably dropped it by now. Not to mention the LN itself doesn't have much to discuss or argue about, all girls are good so there's no reason for color war either. Only now do I understand the value of those dedicated shitposters, I missed them, they were annoying as fuck but at least they made my blood boil.
Why hasn't anyone made a webm of Lapis on the couch
Just her 2 second teetering
Now she just needs some quality scenes in the anime
Try it, non-best girl. See what happens.
Probably should add a little delay before the loop, so it looks more natural.
Anon, that rabbit is useless!
It seems that the fuel tanks is falling more and more.
Surprisingly enough, every girl is pretty enjoyable. Not too many series can boast that
Late, but I saw on tv last night that the most unattractive part of their lovers for both males but especially females is feet.
It's not like he's starting a war. Foot fags are just legitimately interested in the part almost every other person dislikes above all others.
Pretty sad for them really.
A delay? Like this? I personally think that makes it look a little more awkward.
I'm really glad that the harem doesn't really go outside the bounds of the platoon. Makes it a lot better than other series for that only imo.
There isn't a girl I'd want to "lose" in this series, and that's saying something considering the genre.
I swear if one of them dies I'll hunt the author down. Reading Mari getting her arm and leg blasted off gave me a heart attack the first time I read it. Pic related didn't help.
I know how you feel, I really wish all of them get to survive and stay together, but the more the LNs go the more I fear that might not happen.
Honestly, Orochi was right, and they should have accepted the whole world reset thing he wanted to do. They wouldn't have to suffer again and they would meet again in the new world, the OP song promised them that.
Speaking of the reset I wonder how things would turn out if that actually happened. I assume that most of them would never meet each other in that kind of world.
Gungniris still alive I wonder if we're going to get a Cosmo Entelecheia type of situation; where the characters see the ideal world and reject it or something.
That could be cool, but like I said, the opening said that even if the world was reset they would meet, so I will believe in it. Still seeing them reject that world might be an interesting thing to do next volume.
Honestly, that's the best hope we have of a good ending you know.
Numerous instances of shoddy English work but it's a one man team I think
Odin went MIA after crashing the Norse world into our world.
Odin obviously wants his world back after all his comrades got killed.
Odin definitely doesn't give a shit about humans.
So I just noticed the small additions they made to the OP for Episode 5-6.
Plus a bunch of more color splashes in the last few scenes with the cast and their action poses.
>skindentation on Mari's thighs
I keep on thinking "Netherlands" when I see her. They should sell the scarf as overpriced merch. I'd buy it.
Mari gets her left arm and leg blown off while delivering a bunch to Mother Goose/Gungnir's face. But she gets them back after she uses Drain magic and she's her opponents own magic to teleport Ouka and heal herself. Before that moment she legit looked up she was going to die, but ended up owning the wannabe god. Hence best girl.
Mari is pretty much a deus ex machina in cute girl form for this series. Are you a vampire with a overpowered magical property? Here's her overpowered magical, which if you didn't know and was only slightly foreshadowed prior to that
can reproduce two other massively overpowered magical propertiesand beat the shit out of yours that would normally be a hard counter to hers!
Or say you brought dozens upon dozens of giant mechs each containing the soul of a mythological being? Guess what?
She can summon Unicorns now.Bitch. And it came over just because it likes her more than it likes you.
So yeah, she's pretty much the definition of asshole. And funnily enough I don't really care. Still best girl for me personally, and I usually hate that kind of writing. The bullshit is pretty awesome.
I was just posted on twitter and their website an hour ago.
I'm still having trouble figuring out exactly why I'm making an exception to this one. The writing isn't particularly special, and they do legit come out of nowhere (especially that summon one).
It may just be extreme bias for the character, but I still bitched about characters for less. Really weird.
Does the author have a twitter account?
Also, Another Volume coming out it two days, so cheers to that.
What did you do that for? Fucking hate tropers, they're the cancer in the brain of any fanbase. You'll probably get your page purged because someone got a little uncomfortable over Lapis.
>>I'm still having trouble figuring out exactly why I'm making an exception to this one. The writing isn't particularly special, and they do legit come out of nowhere (especially that summon one).
I think it helps that they are a lot of little things that never really totally dominate things, so you can accept easily them one at a time without questioning them too much. I guess you could say the author eased us into accepting Mari doing these things, and yes the character bias helps accept this very easily.
Creation's Secret Story 1: "At first it wasn't about a school nor there were about platoons."
Suddenly speaking frank. I wonder if it can be said speaking frankly.
I think it's fine.
In the early plot school did not exist, the world it was set in was a complete fantasy world too. The title wasn't "AntiMagic Academy "The 35th Test Platoon" " but plain thing named "Treasured Sword Management Station". It was management of Magical Heritages existing in present work and a story of the organization sealing them.
The witches have perished and the only thing related to magic remaining are Magical Heritages... that was the setting.
There was no platoon. There was the protagonist and two novice management clerk heroines. I think it felt like something similar to a police drama.
This is way too plain, it seemed and so, it turned out as it is now.
To say one more thing, this story was rejected before my previous work "Re: Can an idiot save the world?". A prototype from a long ago.
Creation's Secret Story 2: "Kurogane Hayato was the protagonist."
He was. At first.
Well, rather than Hayato alone,
It felt like a character made out of both Hayato and Sougetsu.
Hayato and Sougetsu, what on earth was he... that guy...
How should I explain this. Cool and honest, sarcastic super wicked character? Something like that. That's no protagonist right, a character that made you want to retort like that (in fact, someone retorted like that).
Since it's hard to put an old man a protagonist for a light novel, Kurogane Hayato was a protagonist in his teens.
Hayato being a teenage protagonist, I'm scared thinking of it now. Even though I'm not too good at writing cool characters, there's the limit to protag's adventures.
And therefore, in fact Kusanagi Takeru didn't even exist in early stages.
His model had settled much later you see. Actually Ouka didn't exist either. Mari, Usagi and Ikaruga's originals existed, but they changed considerably. Also, Lapis was domineering.
She's like Simon. When you watch TTGL, do you get triggered everytime Simon pull an asspull? No? Exactly.
It just works for some reason, I guess the main reason is because her character was build that way and you know it so it doesn't really came out of nowhere. You know it'll happen, but how it will happen is a different story. And yeah, to be honest I still can't figure out how I accepted Mari so easily.
> TVアニメ「対魔導学園35試験小隊(Taimadou Gakuen 35 Shiken Shoutai)」OPテーマ「Embrace Blade」／アフィリア・サーガ (FLAC+CUE)
> TVアニメ「対魔導学園35試験小隊(Taimadou Gakuen 35 Shiken Shoutai)」OPテーマ「Embrace Blade」／アフィリア・サーガ (320K)
Full OP out
Kanata being the main heroine feels kinda somehow. I don't know which one I like better: high school Kanata or Christmart keki Kanata.
I'm actually glad that Takeru is able to perform WMD level attack now, seeing him getting steamrolled on a daily basis makes me feel bad for him.
>strengthen bond with sword
>no power up
, even got himself a new problem instead
>learn new skill
>hardly the deciding factor in fight against big wig
>not usable in all situations
>finally got a power up for real
>it's slowly killing him
He should've let Orochi and Mother Goose do whatever they want, fucking stubborn demon.
I'd dare to say the cutest girl
of the season.
To be fair in Gurren Lagann all you had to know was that Spiral Power was fueled by hot bloodedness and it could do anything. Clap your hands and believe type of shit.
Mari just does awesome stuff because we know she's capable of it. One of the reasons I dislike how the anime handled her is that it doesn't give off that impression.
Take the scene in the classroom for example, in the light novel her answering the magic question was to show she is a genius in the field. So when she pulls that shit with the ancient properties on the vamp, it wasn't completely unexpected.
However in the anime it just feels like she is gloating for no reason over Ouka over just one question the girl couldn't answer. I know series tend to skip over the setting babble, but this one was actually plot relevant. Makes me wonder if the director even bothered to read the series.
>>He should've let Orochi and Mother Goose do whatever they want, fucking stubborn demon.
But anon, Takeru being a stubborn demons is what makes him cool, it's the only reason he can keep carrying the burdens of others and keep suffering to get his happy ending.
>>I'm actually glad that Takeru is able to perform WMD level attack now, seeing him getting steamrolled on a daily basis makes me feel bad for him.
I actually like that Takeru also got the Nuke sword attack, not only because he really needed the upgrade by now, but also because it showed that Takeru surpassed Orochi where it counts. I mean Orochi was the better swordman, he might have a better body but Takeru surpassed him as a demon who only lives to desire speed, and that is what really counts at the end.
Still I hate the Kirin because that was the only twist that wasn't foreshadowed, I can accept the teleport or the two Ancient Properties she asspulled, but that Kirin.
Reading that unicorn summoning bits really crack me up. That unicorn is a goddamn lolicon
>be a fabulous unicorn
>cute loli visit me everyday
>I want to protect that smile
>came over to fuck all her enemies up in one swoop
I guess I can laughed over it because it's like a big joke "she's so perfect even transdimensonal being love her"
>Makes me wonder if the director even bothered to read the series.
He probably skim over, read all the volumes he need to adapt or just read the summary.
I wonder when will Ouka turn Takeru into an apostle 'cause that's clearly the only way Takeru could live a longer life instead of what he has now. It also make sense with the development of relationship between him and Ouka though I guess that will be a big loss to all other girls since he'll practically be owned by Ouka.
It was a fucking asspull, but Mari is the asspull character. All the other girls pull shit out of their ass, but none can do so as magnificently as Mari. Which is probably why Mari can take it in the ass the best.
>mfw BOTH OP and ED is good
The only saving point of Antimagic anime is that OST, good lord.
>that track at the end
>that smug Mari
Her love is too pure
She probably imagine herself holding Takeru hand tightly everyday
>Unicorn comes just because it wanted to be summoned by a cute girl
>wrecks an army of robot heroes
>confuses the shit out of everyone
>another army of robot dudes pop up
Passionate is a very specific word. Ouka probably got a whole vanilla doujiin's worth of shit from Mari's mind.
Which we probably won't get considering this shows popularity ;_;
Exactly, it makes me wonder what the fuck did Touki thought when he wrote that, it served no purpose because after that Gungnir just proceed to summon another batch. It's weird, it's like he really likes Mari and want to make her as awesome as he could yet at the same time he kept block her flags.
Wait, or could it be he ran out of thing to write so he just made that up to make the book as long as it should?
He probably did that to give Mari some kind of upgrade, since everybody else has been receiving upgrades recently, like Usagi getting her anti-matter bullets for her rifle, Ouka getting Vampire form, Ikaruga getting her elf form back and her daughter and Takeru going full demon with his need for speed.
Also yes, the author makes things up as he goes along.
>Mari ask Usagi for breasts advice
>"I want to being boing boing like Usagi-chan too!"
>got told she will lose her character if her breasts become big
He should've talked about man boobs in volume 9 afterword.
>Usagi's sniper skills are attributed to her "natural impact cushions"
Low budget, rushed, chuuni crap with a god-tier characters design. So sad.
And a pretty good OST
You mean like what?
Sharing scarf during winter? Being hugged from behind? All of it while holding hand passionately?
Read the LN, it will worth the effort, trust me on this one.
You know, when volume 5 ended with that cliffhanger, I seriously thought we would get some Chrome Shelled Regios type of romantic development between Mari and Takeru. But nope it goes to the lol I instead lol (not that I mind).
No wonder Mari is in heat, her flags just keep getting crushed.
The only correct choice.
Another correct choice is download all good OP, ED and even soundtrack if it got good reputation then proceed to sakuga booru to watch action scene.
>lol I instead lol
u wot m8
>No wonder Mari is in heat, her flags just keep getting crushed.
One day, she's going to lost it and pound on Takeru like a wild beast.
If she want to have herself some events then she must first have a problem. Look at Ikagura, Ouka and Lapis, all of them have personal problems and they progressed the most with Takeru, on the contrary Usagi and Mari don't have any problem, thus no progress. So the part
>if she was ahead then she wouldn't be so amazing
actually makes a lot of sense since if she's ahead then she must have some kind of problem, thus downgrading herself.
>browsing 4chan in a lecture
Come on now.
Not like I don't do that, but don't tell anyone. Don't use abbreviations or emoticons on /a/ either. Only mfw, tfw and ;_; is allowed here (and sometimes :> and :D if you're in a Gatcha thread or Jintai thread)
Haunted doesn't seem like that big of a problem to her, it's not like she can't live normally without exact some kind of revenge on him.
ON MY OWN
I AM A WIND OF DESTRUCTION
>these are what we could've got instead
>sakuga season yet the show that hold biggest potential for sakuga is casted aside
>inb4 OPM is actually good sakuga material
I'm still salty that 50 METERS ZWEIHANDER did not make it into the show, all along with all sort of awesome shit and instead Rakudai Kishi got all the good stuffs.
A WEAPON TO SURPASS METAL GEAR next episode
Been a long time since I last read vol 3, what happened?
And this is how I imagine fluffy-sempai if she was animated properly.
That face wwwwwwwwww
It's like he's saying "I've had enough of these tits"
Wait what? They skipped out so much shit this doesn't make sense anymore. They didn't say that they were going to follow her, they didn't say that they thought she was going to the border, it even skipped the message they got saying she was a criminal. What the fuck?
The scriptwriters often seem to forget that their viewers haven't read the book. Like how they still haven't gotten around to mentioning that the world is 90% uninhabitable because of the witch hunt war.
Well at least that cut to the end was good?
I guess they rushed it so they can do the next fight justice.
Please don't fuck this part up SL
>"Your power is necessary... come with me, Lapis."
>Lapis didn't answer.
>She just reached out to Takeru quietly.
>"You don't need to get a permission from me. I will protect you. You are my everything."
>"You belong to me, and I belong to you. I am not interested in what you desire. As long as I dwell within you, I will use all my power to fulfill your wishes."
>"After all, I am your sword."
>Her outstretched hand seemed cold.
>Ouka said that a Relic Eater is not an ally.
>But now, that was fine.
>That's who swords originally are. They exist in order to kill, they exist to be used.
>It would be weird if he refused it.
>Takeru took Lapis' hand.
>As expected, her hand was as cold as a blade.
>Takeru stood up, and the pain roused his consciousness, he glared at the fifth laboratory's tower.
>"We're going to crush the laboratory. Let's subjugate them, Lapis."
>And with his beaten up body, he held out a hand in front of himself.
>Desiring with supreme ardor——"Summis desiderantes affectibus——"
>He shook his extended hand as if cutting something.
>——the Hammer of Witches"——Malleus Maleficarum!"
>《"Well then, enjoy yourself."》
Blown the fuck out
perflat, but mari is still the best.
she is in my range.
The only way Silver Link can make me hate this adaptation is if they fuck up Volume 5. Which they already are doing as no foreshadowing is being done other than the opening that barely suggests that Kyouya, Kurogane, and Kiseki are relevant.
And I just realized they all start with K
And anime only guys are going to be confused as hell about his subplot because it'll look like it came out of nowhere.
This has been a pretty good guide on how not to make a LN adaptation. If there's going to be a second season, I hope that a better studio takes care of it; or at least do it justice.
such a waste of good character designs too.
>end of the episode
>captcha is HOMEWOOD AVE
>Dat facial expression
I'm stuck between HHHNNNNGGG and fapfapfap.
This little shit is still alive, right? Will she show up any time soon?
So far it's been passable, at least you got most of they key information, but this episode is really bad. They cut out way more than they left in, and things just seemingly happen without knowing the viewer knowing why.
Are all the Suginami's comedians?
After she leaves the classroom saying she's going on leave, they mention how she's acting funny, then a message appears at the door (presumably from the chairman) that Suginami is involved in illegal operations on the border. In the novel she states that she's going to see a mech show or something, which is why she is on leave. The group dismiss this, but decide to tail her anyway to make sure she is ok.
Other parts they missed out was travelling in the sewers, Suginami doing some wandering in the wasteland, a lot of information regarding the Alchemists, elves, what they're doing and why, and an operation organised by Hayato to tail Suginami which goes tits up when the group interrupts the raiders that turn on Suginami.
At least that's what I remember from when I read it, information may not be 100% accurate.
Goddamn, what the hell is going on?
Had I not read the LN I'd be so fucking confused by this passing.
There's also QUALITY out the ass already.
>yfw the adaptation you were looking forward to the most is terrible.
IIRC, the author implied he likes small a bit more than big. Half the girls are flat and the other half is big. I think only Kanaria is in-between since she is moderate, but leans on the smaller breasts side.
>Get the fuck of your life with a the semenest of demons.
>In exchange get turned into a mech with a railgun for a dick.
You've already got the deal mate, why do you keep selling it?
Not a clue. Just something from the future.
>The little elf girl had a mantle covering her
>The platoon girls get thrown in the cell naked like pets
That shit already exists anon.
However, if you're talking about that rifle she gets from Suginamy later on then yeah, it's some futuristic shit.
Except that's not it. It's a bullpup.
I don't know why it's bolt operated in the show though.
It was to decontaminate them anon, who knows what dirty magic diseases that witch might have been carrying, you have to be careful.
Yeah, was talking about the railgun rifle.
Emtionless sex doujins never.
Especially galling is that the entire cast outside of the character who's holding up the neon sign saying "TIME FOR MY TRAGIC BACKGROUND AND NON-DEVELOPMENT DEVELOPMENT" is just along for the ride with no greater investment than something between "Huh, I'm curious about that," and "friendship power!"
Most of it is spent taking a swan dive right into a giant jell-o vat of bad cliche. Cliches are cliches for a reason, but mre importantly, we're all familiar with them. You don't need to submerge yourself head deep in them and then spend 15 minutes re-explaining them. They are a means to an end, not the end itself. They are the tool with which we build, not what we are supposed to build.
So here we have probably the dullest episode yet, although that one episode that was just the two girls squabbling was pretty damn close. Just going through the standard motions of super genius experimental teenagers in an experimental facility and abusing/experimenting on experimental super children that is the standard go to for every goddamned anime.
Why can't for once, we have a Doc Ock or Green Goblin origin story instead? Is that too much to ask, or has Japan just declared a ban on any antagonist motivation besides rape, exploiting/murdering children, and remaking the universe?
Anyway, we it also went for cutting over the parts with the mafiosos, guns, and shootings that might've at least pretended to be interesting in order to make more time for
having the girls sit around naked in their cells, freezing their nipples off because smocks weren't in the T&A budget, while the Tits 2 gets a turn at having the protagonist's dick rubbed against her. In a shocking twist, instead of it being because she went to his house, got naked, and fell on him, they went to the honeymoon sweet, she straddled him, and then got naked. Talk about a reversal of the formula.flashbacks and exposition. Lots and lots and lots and lots of exposition.
I bet if this will get doujins one of the first will be an Usagi gangbang triggered in this scene.
>Pushing your chest's fat with your arms to simulate breasts
I'm amazed she would be willing to stop her research long enough to have sex, as dead of a lay as she would be. Seeing him actually getting pissed at her for being emotionless about murder was kind of odd from an overall view point.
>tfw Ouka is going to win just because she's the female lead even though she has the least romantic interest in Kusanagi
I really hate that kind of thing in series.
You have the girl that is actually interested in the MC and wants to be with him and then you have the female lead that is not interested in MC in the slightest but the one that actually wanted to be with the MC and had the cutest scenes is doomed to eternal suffering while the main lead suddenly decides she wants to be with the male MC in the last arc and goes with him.
Haunted is kinda cool like that, he wants to murder, but to him murder has to have meaning so it has the best despair.
But anon, Sword is winning and Ouka basically promised to spend the rest of her life with the MC sharing everything, what are you talking about?
She doesn't seem like the joking type. From how emotionless and sociopathic she is it seemed like she meant it just to get him to shut up.
She could have kids though, just not Kusanagi's cursed ones.
She was not joking, she was serious about it.
Takeru is the one who shouldn't have children, and she is fine with that since she is planning on getting herself killed.
She would humor him by having sex once just to experience it.
Every Suginami is made with the pursuit of knowledge as their aphrodisiac, in this sense they literally get their jollies from doing science and research, which is why they don't really care about anything else; They don't care about no one, no gain, no downsides, no morals or ethics... Suginami only care about doing science.
I reckon that's the brilliance of haunted. When he kills someone, he derives a kind of sick happiness from it. Thus, when he kills someone, their death has meaning. To him, their death has meaning. Whereas she is just killing with no emotion. To someone like him, that is foreign and since no pleasure is derived, the death is in vain. In a horrible way, he has a weird, sick justification for killing. To meet someone who just kills to kill would freak him out. It's weird how deep this show can get at times.
I actually really love the way he's written. I've never seen a reaction quite like that. He's a serial killer with a heart, all be it a twisted one. Normally you would expect him to complain it's a waste that there's no emotion, not to vehemently reject the idea that killing for no reason is wrong, and perverse like he did. as I mentioned it's a very interesting take. Almost like he sees her emotionless almost as badly as a normal person would see murder.
Haunted is pure anon, he kills for pure reasons and lives for the sake of spreading despair, so he will betray his allies and do crazy stuff to ensure that things go like he wants.
Well she definitely has more scenes so by default, yes.
She also gets to be more badass
I know anon, I know, my only hope is that they sneak in the flashback at the start of Vol 5 or something.
She is, but she is also more badass and cooler, sadly she is still an useless bunny compared to her teammates.
Missing out man. There's a lot of awesome shit that happens that I doubt the anime will do justice.
Plus you can't exactly play the Metal Gear Rising OST in the background while watching the anime. Sub-par experience imo.
It's always fun with Shinichiro Miki and his teamkill gun around
Why is the gun that should be the best thing to hammer witches only good for killing your teammates? Why Sougetsu why?
They really should have had Baby Kana pouting like in that image.
The name Innocentius is disgustingly well fitting, given the context of witch hunting and how he leads the Inquisition.
At the very least, we should lessen our hopes for the mech dragon while looking forward to this
I am kinda mad they skipped all the negotiations and background stuff he did in this volume, it kind of feels a bit off when you don't know how he was trying to force a war this whole volume.
Which is why they're categorically the worst scored before Ohtori showed up
>Motherfucker with a sword
>Sniper with anxiety issues
>Walking IT department
I'm still disappointed that they removed popcorn moment, it was small but it really gave off the general feel of his character.
They are pretty much cutting out all the depth of the side characters at this point. So I bet they all seem pretty one dimensional to animeonly guys.
He was still bringing popcorn to watch his students mercilessly beat each other. We just needed Caligula
24 episodes, actually do the plot properly.
And get rid of that shit CG in the earlier episodes for hand drawn mechs. Dramatically increase the amount of Mari and Lapis.
Asterisk levels of pacing with 2 cours. Foreshadow both Kurogane and Kyouya
The latter happens by default.
Actually spend some time explaining the setting other than "academy that trains people to fight witches". I don't think anime only viewers even know that the majority of the world is uninhabitable.
Also narration is always nice, I don't know why anime directors hate this. If the monogatari series can make money hand over first while being 90% I think people can handle it in these kind of series.
We already have one, we clearly need more of him to be a fulfilling edge master when he becomes relevant again
>Increase Mari screen time and Ouka screen time is just fine
Wow that was a really weird way to word your comments, good thing I was here to get a grasp on the English language.
A shame she's not the main girl, so she's destined to lose. I really wish Japanese harem writers would evolve beyond this main girl nonsense. It would make series like these such a better watch.
Or hell, at the very least have more than two archetypes for the main girl. Those being, the blandest one, or the bitchiest one.
>AND IT WILL COME! Like a flood of pain! >Pouring down on me!
>And it will not let up until the end is here.
>AND IT WILL COME! Through the darkest day! >In my final hour!
>And it will never rest until the clouds are clear.
BUT MAYBE WE'RE BOTH THE SAAAAAAAAME
