>it's halfway through the final season of 2015
>it's superfluously clear that nothing is going to be as remotely as good as Non Non Biyori Repeat
We can all agree that Non Non Biyori Repeat was AOTY.
Season 2 had more good Candy Store scenes, thus is automatically better.
Season 2 had no snow, thus is automatically worse.
>used to have our own land in countryside
>had my best memories in there
>tfw we had to sell it because of a failed business
>plan to buy it back in couple of years
Sorry for the blog post, just had to let it out.
>Season 1 felt better executed.
The execution felt identical to me.
>Season 2 just felt like it borrowed ideas from 1.
S2 simply adapted material from the manga which chronologically wove in and out of the events of S1.
I haven't even started S2 because the scenes where Komari tries to show off and comes off as an extreme country bumpkin made me visibly cringe, maybe because I can relate to that, and I'm afraid to watch more. Episode 8 was painful. I still loved it though.
I guess so. I fucking love NNB but it is just kind of boring to re-elect it AOTY as opposed to something new.
If you count Shirobako as a '15 show that should be it imo. However it started in 14 so personally I wouldn't do that.
Gochiusa might be a contender imo. It's been incredibly strong both seasons and Repeat had a bit too much Renge in its early episodes for me.
>not a terrible adaptation of juvenile, humorless source material
I think that GochiUsa has been executed very well for what it is, but what it is is simply a show which doesn't really try to do anything but be cute with a bit of fanservice. I can't give a show like this AOTY no matter how well it's executed because, dammit, I have standards for my beloved moeshit.
Straight outta Asahigaoka nigg-uh.
Post cute komari
As long as Komari is happy, i'm happy
It's ok anon, i want a season 3 too, but its not likely. At least i have the Okinawa OVA
>you will never live a happy live in 2D
>You will never live in the countryside with a bunch of cute girls and cuddle them.
Don't drag me back to reality
Yes and I frequently imagine it as real life has been very unfulfilling.
We need to stop Hotarun from committing more crimes
Is love a crime anon.
Yuyushiki didn't air this year, anon. As much as we wish it had.
One the one hand I think S2 felt like it just kinda rehashed S1.
On the other there was a bit more character development, esp. for Natsumi, Hotaru, and Renge. Some more varied BGM too; I liked the more ominous themes that played when Hotaru and Komari were lost in the woods.
>you will never hug Komari and tell her that it's OK, she doesn't have to try so hard, she's perfect just the way she is
I feel moreso for the fact that
nobody will ever do that for me.
Guys post more cute non non's please, my folder is too sparse.
"Abundantly clear" is a phrase which is used commonly, but "superfluously" was not misused there. It was used in an accurate manner which makes sense. In conclusion, you are wrong.
It was not. It's a classic sign of people pushing past their mark. Using words they don't either know the context of the word or the definition of the word.
The flub here was the context and interaction of clear/clarity and superfluous.
Yes I'm aware. How can you have an excess of clarity? It's clumsily worded. It sounds off and there are several most appropriate words even leaving abundantly off the table.
Glibly replying with definitions that everyone here should already know doesn't help your case either.
Fucking Repeat fags do my head in. They can't see basic issues in phrasing and they can't see the obvious drop in the quality of the show.
>How can you have an excess of clarity?
Keep in mind that "excess" can mean "more than necessary" or "more than desired." In the following case, "more than necessary" will be the implied meaning:
I have a towel and some window cleaner. I am asked what is behind the window in front of me. I can't see what it is because the window is dirty, so I clean my side of the window. The other side is still dirty after this, but the window is now transparent enough for me to see that behind the window is your mother. I can answer the question right now, but I instead choose to go to the other side of the window, give your mother a nice shag in the bum and clean the other side of the window. I go back to the other side of the window, look through it, think to myself, "wow, that's a clear window now," and answer the person who asked what was behind the window, "it's >>133670051 's whore of a mother."
In this circumstance the window now possesses excess clarity for the exercise of answering the question of who was behind the window, that being your whore of a mother.
The episode 10 from both seasons was sublime. You are incorrect.
>episode 10 from both seasons
Naw, Repeat declined pretty hard in its second half.
I felt like I was the only one that found Natsumi very similar to Makimaki
fuuuuck i havent even finished season 2 yet. i just started watching non non biyori after it ended and i watched all of S1. SO GOOD.
I WANT MORE AND I WANT TO LIVE IN THEIR WORLD IT LOOKS SO PEACEFUL AND NICE AND COZY
Definitely, S2 has been the show I've enjoyed most this year. Decided to watch it again this season too an episode a week. As autumn rolls by and we turn to winter, it really hits the spot. Nothing beats climbing into bed on a Sunday evening after a nice hot bath when you're just the right amount of drowsy and putting on an episode then falling asleep after. NNB heals the soul. I just wish it didn't have to end.
Season 2 improved on every single bad thing about S1.
It removed the annoying obsessive side of Hotarun and added really cute childish scenes.
It cut down on Komari's "loltiny" jokes and on her screentime in general.
It gave Hikage, Konomi and Dagashiya a lot more screentime in return.
>you'll never do off-screen shenanigans with Nii-chan
