I haven't even started S2 because the scenes where Komari tries to show off and comes off as an extreme country bumpkin made me visibly cringe, maybe because I can relate to that, and I'm afraid to watch more. Episode 8 was painful. I still loved it though.

I think that GochiUsa has been executed very well for what it is, but what it is is simply a show which doesn't really try to do anything but be cute with a bit of fanservice. One the one hand I think S2 felt like it just kinda rehashed S1.

On the other there was a bit more character development, esp. for Natsumi, Hotaru, and Renge. Some more varied BGM too; I liked the more ominous themes that played when Hotaru and Komari were lost in the woods.

Definitely, S2 has been the show I've enjoyed most this year. Decided to watch it again this season too an episode a week. As autumn rolls by and we turn to winter, it really hits the spot. Nothing beats climbing into bed on a Sunday evening after a nice hot bath when you're just the right amount of drowsy and putting on an episode then falling asleep after. NNB heals the soul. I just wish it didn't have to end.

Season 2 improved on every single bad thing about S1.
It removed the annoying obsessive side of Hotarun and added really cute childish scenes.
It cut down on Komari's "loltiny" jokes and on her screentime in general.
It gave Hikage, Konomi and Dagashiya a lot more screentime in return.
