Yuki Ono is actually a good casting decision. He's probably just as good as Wataru Hatano, but slightly younger sounding, which is good considering Josuke's character is 16. Keep in mind that Nozomu Sasaki's Yusuke also sounded very young, but rebellious.

It's safe to assume that it's a perfect casting.

Honestly, guys, this looks 1000% like fan art. It looks like someone used the dry brush PS filter over the coloring, it looks cheap.
There's nothing about this that screams professional to me. Look at what David did in the past for promo pics. Does any of that look like this? The lines, the coloring, any of it. Look at Koichi FFS. David wasn't even this sloppy with Phantom Blood and they had no money then.
If it somehow really truly ends up looking like this well then Inb4 Araki jumps ship like the PB movie.

Stardust Crusaders looked 'cleaner' but it also looked like absolute shit. And besides, Part 4 is all about wackiness and quaint charm. Maybe the whole series looks like the key visual, but it's also just as possible that it looks nothing like it. Heck, Part 4 was so inconsistent, historically speaking, that i wouldnt be surprised if they did a Space Dandy and got different art directors for different episodes, leading to a more varied style.

Or. You know. It's just a fucking picture. I'm willing to wager money that the actual animation quality is about the same as Stardust Crusaders, and the only differences are the removal of the strange face lines and the cheese-wheel shoulders.

There are a handful of very SOL-esque moments

but what people are really talking about is how DiU in general is more lighthearted, and more importantly how the stakes and scale of the part are so much smaller. It's all set exclusively in one town rather than being a globetrotting adventure like parts 2 and 3 were, the main villain isn't even properly introduced until like halfway through, and the only actual threats are a couple of domestic-scale murders and the possibility of the wrong guy maybe getting hit by the Arrow. Nobody is an all-powerful God, nobody is looking to take over the world or destroy modern civilization. Nothing is /really/ at stake - there are plenty of small-time murderers in the real world, Kira isn't all that big of a deal compared to Dio and the Pillar Men.

So yeah. I guess I can see both viewpoints. It's definitely not 'slice of life' in the strictest sense of the phrase, but it's not exactly an epic adventure either

This is how I feel it will go down, visual-wise.

Shots of Josuke interacting with the important characters while famous Morioh locations are the backdrop, and maybe a few background characters hidden in as well.
Little to no focus on Kira. If he's shown at all it will be him obscured in shadows, as Josuke notices him from the back a la this page.
The song will probably be about golden hearts and shit, and mainly about getting the arrow. I have a feeling they'll play it up as if RHCP is the big bad, but at the same time make it easy to tell he's not.

The second opening I have less of an idea on. I hope for a scene of Kira swapping out his face and then quick cuts of a bunch of random people, none of which are actually Kosaku. But then for the final episodes the quick cuts end as the crowd dissipates and they focus in on Kosaku as he bites his nails intensely. Probably a lot of explosion based transitions as well. We'll probably also get a lot more Heaven's Door stuff in the second opening as opposed to the first I feel like. The song will again be about the golden heart shit but now more about protecting the town and ending the killers rein over the town. Less of a SoL feel and more of a Stand Proud vibe.
