So after watching the anime and now working through the manga, have they hinted what S2 will contain? It starts production soon, right (or has already)?

There seems to be a lot more gaiden in 101-150 than 1-100, so I don't think it'll be a problem stretching 101-150 out to a full season, but hopefully they don't branch off too dramatically. You've easily got 4-6 eps for Vampires, an ep for Diane/Matrona, maybe 2 for Ban/King... and of course they could filler the hell out of druid training, but since I'm only on ~135ish, I wonder if there's a good cliff-hanger-ish stopping point that could keep the anime lined up with the manga.

Yeah, I'll admit that parts of the Gilthunder thing are a little iffy, but it's really only the sword in the town that seems particularly suspicious. Everything else lines up relatively well.

Beyond that, though, it's fairly well thought out. There's a lot of elements that are not spoken that hint towards future events. Examples include the Dreyfus' demon mark book, shadow behind Gowther in Dreyfus' mind, Guila's mind rape by Gowther during the invasion, Diane's mind wipe, Dreyfus slaughtering the Dawn Roar and Hauser, everything with Elizabeth's power, Arthur's first mention in Chapter 3 (granted that was spoken), and there's probably more I'm forgetting right now. Stuff like Hawk's status as Mel's reincarnating animal companion hasn't been confirmed yet, but you can tell it's true by reading between the lines. Nakaba does a really good job at non-verbal clues.

I didn't care for Ban in the first 100 chapters, but he's really turned around on me. His and Jericho's plot is actually my favorite part of the post-anime chapters.

No armor, but they do find another sacred treasure. Although there's a lot of gaiden and extra chapters flashing back to pre-exile action where they have their original armor on (see Vampires arc).

This was one of the biggest letdowns for me in this show. I started reading it expecting crazy knights fighting in crazy powerlevels, but as the manga progressed people wore less and less armor, the uniqueness faded and I saw it becoming just a generic powerlevel shounen, with no attractive gimmick. Nanatsu no Taizai has very well designed armor and you can see the author knows his shit. Even the most crazy designs still are made in a way to make sense physically. A bevor is always a bevor and works like one, things like this.

It's like Monster Hunter. The designs are crazy and high fantasy, but they still follow armor logic. The complete opposite of, Skyrim low level armor, for example. It supposed to be grounded on reality but physically they don't make any sense and don't work like armor at all.
