Is anyone here a fan of Matsuri? It's pretty much a given that She's #1 amongst the Marshmallows right?
Also, the entire "Loli haets pizza" thing is one big untruth. I've heard Mats is quite fond of the dish, actually.
This is also true. However, I just thought that best Marshmallow should have a thread made in awe of her precedence.
Picture featuring the two best Marshmallows.
I really like this picture, even though it's from DA. She looks a bit older here. Not much though.
This is also cute. Must be from the album face of one of the OST's or something of the like.
I haven't read much of the Manga so I'll ask...Is it true that Chika and Miu have "messed around" and such? The following is from Wikipedia...
>While she is often causing trouble for the other girls, an interview with the cast that was published in volume 4 of the manga series reveals that Miu is extremely fond of Chika, whom she dubs as her 'one and only'. The interview also goes on to claim that Miu derives satisfaction from amusing Chika, and that she will never go to bed before making sure that Chika's room light is turned off. There are also scenes within the manga which hint at signs of lesbianism from Miu towards Chika; when Miu reveals that the both of them have kissed and rubbed each other's breasts, Chika makes no attempt to deny the claims or defend herself.
I wonder how long Robert and John lived...I bet Chika cried when they kicked the bucket...
Yes, that's what I've been hearing. I've asked My Library to order it for Me, but have been having no luck; at least not the last couple weeks. And I have no $$ at the moment to be able to purchase them from Amazon, so I'm kinda stuck at the moment as I'd really like to check them out.
>This pic is cute of Chika. Wish there was a larger version.
Don't forget that Christmas is soon approaching, my fellow /a/ denizens!
I wonder how bad Miu's fart smelled to make Matsuri and Nobue react the way they did.
What if Marshmallows could fly?
It's been too many years with too little output, Barasui. Get your shit together.
Related: Maturi's ふわふわ voice makes my heart go ドキドキ.
>I haven't read much of the Manga
>I've asked My Library to order it for Me
Going to take a while to import them, anon.
It is a really enjoyable read.
This picture is from Barasui's personal webpage. Nobue fitted as "the Bride" from Kill Bill...
Pretty cool stuff!
Oh shit'cher right...Gomen; it's a bit late and my mind isn't too sharp at the moment, heh.
Also, Thank you for those Links! They will certainly be viewed in leisure. I still can't wait till I have something tangible that I can read. Slowly building my Manga collection.
Also, I wonder why Ana gets so tormented over Her last name. I mean, it's not like She's the only European/Caucasian that those doing the teasing have ever met or seen, I'm sure...
Sounds pretty cool. Perhaps one day We'll have sauce for it.
I just absolutely loved the clothes design in this Show...I mean as far as "Slice of Life" goes, I don't think you can find another title with younger girls dressed in designs as intricate as that of those depicted and contained within I.M.
Can't you just feel the love between the two?
You mean http://bara.sakura.ne.jp/ , yeah? Funnily enough this fan wiki has more details on Barasui's stuff than he has.
It's a pretty cool little site.
Check out the Daily Japanese Thread OP links. There is a link to a spreadsheet on the main page of the DJT website with a lot of manga, light novels and other things, all on mega so you don't have to dick around trying to find torrents or download from random Chinese DDL sites or baidu.
He's just into "western" alternative-pop music from the 90s, really. Hardly call him a westaboo.
It's a Japanese thing mostly; Japanese childhood has a lot of freedoms in that kids tend to get away with certain things but there is also a very heavy emphasis on conformity that doesn't manifest at all in English speaking "western" nations like it does in Japan. It is kind of hard to explain properly but a lot of growing up Japanese in Japan can almost be considered like being in the military. A lot of their schools are basically run like drill camps and fighting into a neighbourhood is kind of like African American ghettos but instead of gunfight and low riding pants, there is unspoken social politics, housewife coalitions and an over emphasis on decorum- fake or real, doesn't matter.
That and Coppola is a pretty famous name.
That is from 大阪万博 ばらまんが大王. Good luck finding scans. Even better luck finding a copy up on Japanese auction sites. It's pretty hard to find these days.
Barasui has taken a lot of his designs from at the time trending fashion worn by junior idols and what not. He wrote about it in an afterword in one of his doujin works, from memory. Or maybe it was an interview. Can't remember.
There was some sort of anniversary anthology or something for Azumanga where a whole pile of guest artists did a few pages each. Barasui was one of them. Had a whole bunch of others too: Ume, pretty sure it had the PPD author and some more. Only seem to have the one page left for some reason but I imagine it's still floating around somewhere.
It's as hard to find torrents for Ichigo Marshmallow raws as it is to find anime. You're giving him bad advice sending him to that shithole.
That last line of information You provided is quite insightful. I'm glad to know that; "that" being, how the characters clothing designs and such were brought to life. Thank you for the great knowledge you've provided, Anon.
One thing I've yet to watch, are the OVA's. I take it that they're comfy as well?
>Because she has an Italian surname with a Spanish name.
>with a Spanish name.
I didn't know that...I just thought Her name was English..
Where does the Spanish come into play in Her name?
Don't worry, don't worry. I'm getting there.
You will never again look to the night Sky, anticipate hopefully meeting Santa Claus, and watch as the snow peacefully falls around you and your friends while not having any worries other than having fun and going to School...
I'd have to look into it but thinking back on it I'm pretty sure in one of the afterword sections for one of the earlier volumes he talks about "recently" buying a lot of junior idol magazines, for "inspiration", or what have you.
Not entire sure if it has been translated. It isn't all that uncommon for scanlators to skip that sort of stuff, even more so when it is small hand written writing and the like. Harder to edit out properly for the target translation language but likely more to the point that a lot of scanlations are done by people who aren't really that familiar with Japanese and struggle with hand-written scrawl compared to clean computer fonts.
If you skim to the back of each volume maybe you'll find a small section with Barsui in a mini comic talking about various things. In the first volume (I think) he sort of explains that Ichigo Mashimaro came about when a friend suggested he draw a loli focused entry for a magazine. This explains the difference in early art before and after serialisation: long story short is that he didn't expect it to be picked up and there was a large-ish time gap and his character designs changed.
>Point stands it's not hard to find torrents
This is where you need to stop and read what was actually posted. The spreadsheet discussed related to DJT contains many series of manga, light novels, etc. for which torrents do not exist. They were pulled from Share/PD and a few Chinese sites and uploaded.
There are probably at least 100gig of manga alone that you aren't going to find torrents for. Of course you wouldn't know this because instead of looking into what was being discussed, you decided to inject yourself like a proudly ignorant newfag.
Funny inconsistency: in the adaptation Ana makes a point that her name is "アンナ", not "アナ", when they are looking up name-kanji. Miu riffing on "Ana" and "穴" (hole). This didn't occur at all in the manga. Ana just got pissed off.
All little girls deserve to be loved deeply and pampered as much as possible, or until She expressly tells you that She is comfortable with what She has.
Little Miu is no exception to this.
He's mentioned idols before but, while you might be able to guess at the actual meaning, I don't think he's actual explicitly said junior idols. There was that moderately suspicious center page in one of the art books.
Heh, I just loved when Nobue had to restrain Her from hitting Miu with the instrument She had.
Do you have a raw version of that? I don't trust the competency of scanlators.
Is that from Strawberry bubblebath?
Don't you have a branch to be swinging from somewhere, lesser ape?
Chii-chan a best girl.
Miu has a girl-boner for Chika. Not as big as Nobue has for Anna and Matsuri, but she has one.
His earlier, pre 2010 character designers where cuter, in my opinion. The faces seem a lot softer and bodies more, well, they made my dick harder.
Kinda mean how She chooses the other two over the two She's closest to.
Intellectual manga for intellectuals.
Too ridiculously cute. I don't know if she's the one responsible for my love for characters like her, but she certainly contributed to it.
Thanks for the reminder that I need to rewatch IM, as well.
>There will never be more Mashimaro anime
>Barasui will never stop dying
TL note: "Pizza" in this case refers to child pornography (cheese pizza) and when people say "loli haets pizza" they mean that fapping to child porn is evil and you should instead use lolicon
>anyone here a fan of Matsuri?
>#1 amongst the Marshmallows
Oh, anon. No.
>Kappore was a joke show in the Japanese feudal age. Coppola has a similar pronunciation to Kappore (especially in japanese’sound). now almost Japanese don’t know the meaning of Kappore, but we feel funny when we listen the word like kappore.
TL;DR: It's complicated...
Is it okay to sexualize them? I mean, they're lolis after all. I can't help myself.
I want to commit a crime!
By becoming Nobue's booze provider.
I'm a little bit ashamed to admit that this is one of my favourite shows ever.
I just genuiely find IM funny and relaxing.
and fuck your loli undertones
There's nothing to be ashamed of.
season 2 finally comes and it's the mashimarus as teenagers
It's just me or they look retarded in the OVAs?
It is you.
That feel when 1200 screenshots
also webmsin my ichigo mashimaro folder. And I will not sort it in the near future.
Cute implies good
Matsuri is the cutest
Therefore she's best
>It's pretty much a given that She's #1 amongst the Marshmallows right?
Wrong, Miu is clearly best girl.
Miu should get her ass kicked
There are 2 different OVA releases. The first OVA release, 3 episodes in 2007, are produced with noticeably better quality. Also were some of the most entertaining episodes of the entire series.
The second OVA, 2 episodes in 2009, are weird as fuck. The faces look rounder and like they have downs. But if you can ignore that, the content is still decent. Definitely not the best two episodes, though.
Same here. I love rewatching random episodes of IM along with KmB, Ika and Yuyushiki.
Shit's so comfy
I like IM because of Nobue, and how much she reminded me of myself before I got my shit together.
>She's #1 amongst the Marshmallows right?
Sorry, but Chika is the best.
Pizza is unhealthy. I wouldn't let Matsuri eat them unless it's once in a while.
