>quickly approaching 2 decades with no hiatuses (to my knowledge)
>over 200 chapters
>still playing mahjong with Washizu
Does any single arc/battle even come close to touching Washizu's bullshit?
Is there even a point in reading this shit if I only have a general idea of how mahjong works?
I was mildly entertained by anime

Stay away from mahjong.

I'd suggest doing a little research first, at the very least you could go check out the wiki from the /jp/ thread to help with terminology when you come across it

>There's another arc after this.
Just read the last 30 or chapters of TEN if you don't like the mahjong.
Its basically every fukumoto storyline explained. Then you can read World's Strongest if you like crazy antics or Kaji if you want to see a guy sweat.
No reason to read akagi anymore now that you know how it ends.

Actually I started reading it again because I decided I actually wanted to learn mahjong and it seemed like a fun supplement to looking at rule books/wiki's and practing online.
Haven't read TEN but I'm up to date on Kaiji and Kurosawa.
