You'd have to ask Araki himself, but I think that homoerotic implications aside, Rohan's obsession with Koichi was meant to be a commentary on shounen mangakas as the boy is pretty much a living embodiment of the highschool protagonists of their chosen genre:

Part 5 is probably my favorite part. Diavolo was great, King Crimson was NOT hard to understand and Gold Experience Requiem is fucking awesome. Also, Polnareff.

I've had this crappy stand idea for a while and I just drank got a bit tipsy at a family lunch so forgive my autism.

Its ability is to manipulate "print". This encompasses not only actual print, but anything that exists or is projected into a two-dimensional plane, such as written text, graffiti, movie projections, paintings, posters, things shown on a screen, etc. The stand itself must touch the "print" for it to be manipulated, and it has a range limit. The stand can also "print" itself and other tri-dimensional objects such as its user into a 2D plane, but this takes a lot of concentration and is physically tiring with larger objects and especially people. Also, due to the nature 2D objects in our dimension, any living creature made into 2D for extended periods of time will begin to experience intense nausea from the difference in depth and eventually pass out and die due to its molecular structure being unable to adapt. The stand can also print things the other way (2D to 3D), though they will more often than not crumble within a minute or two. The most effective way to use this ability is by printing letters at high speed from a text like a machinegun or printing an entire phrase and using it like a rope.
However, where it truly shines is in image manipulation, altering written text or just stealing it from its source. It can work extremely fast on still images and text, but moving things like movie clips, gifs or simply a computer screen while someone is using it are harder to pull off since things can get jumbled and filled with artifacts.
Outside of its ability it's an average punchghost. I can't think of a name for it.
