How much value do you put into visual direction?
Yes, that's why I don't watch KyoAni crap.
Hanayamata was a beautiful show full of colors.
Go fuck yourself asshole.
Hanayamata was great. Madhouse should do more like this.
3.0 is the best directed (notice I'm not saying written) anime made in the last decade. Prove me wrong.
>that color palette
>that aspect ratio
>those long and medium shots
Yeah man, Hanayamata is what digital coloring in animation SHOULD look like.
The Disappearance never fails to make me feel like it's winter when I watch it.
This is what good coloring should do, it should make you feel a certain emotion.
also the linework has that hideous feeling common to a lot of digital anime
disappearence isn't even that good looking, kyoani makes better work on tv nowadays
That was my first post in this thread
Hanayamata is not what digital anime should look like, it's just ishizuka being ishizuka. and that brownish blurry linework that turns the whole shape into a lifeless pastiche is definitely not what animation should aspire to be.
>kyoani makes better work on tv nowadays
That's because it literally came out 5 years ago, yet it still looks better than 99% of all anime airing today.
