What's your best episode in anime history, /a/?
Hard to say what my favorite is.
HxH 125, 126, and 131 were all up there.
Pic related and CG's final episode were also great, due to the hype/payoff.
Well 5 had the cool fight, coach being coach, all that hotblooded bullshit. I take it you mean "why not 6" too, so i'll also mention that while 6's end is great, the rest of the episode doesn't compare to 5. The end does, but in my books both the climaxes are about equally strong. It's just a weaker episode on the whole
Well i wasn't expecting that, good on you
Madoka Episode 10. That realization hit me hard. Plus at the time I didn't realise there were two more episodes and thought that's how the series ended, with Homura stuck in a loop forever.
I know /a/ hate DN, but this was one of the intense episode of any anime I've ever seen.
I don't know but this was pretty fuckin awesome.
Shinsekai Yori - the one where the village comes under siege and saki has to escape through fields, river, house with certain death lurking around. Tough guy in pic related getting absolutely destroyed in a flash.
Don't remember the number because I marathoned the series without looking at them.
wish she had gotten more development in the main series. the novel was alright
Seido losing to Inashiro.
I know that I have shit taste
Planet Limbo from SD is probably the only episode I can rewatch without growing tired of it. That eerie, haunting music just can't be beat.
that moment was great but it the whole finale to this show was rushed to shit and desperately tried to finish off plot points as fast as possible, like even that badass scene was a case of the, not knowing how to wrap up the terraist plotpoint so they just have their leaders show up out of no where in the last ep so julian can cap their asses
Ergo Proxy ep16 (Dead Calm)
Jinrui ep9 (island)
Symphogear G ep10 (Miku)
>not episode 11
That shit was intense
>People still acknowledge how good Episode 10 of Madoka was
DIdn't even expect it to be mentioned. Makes me really happy.
I'm sure that the people with good taste are defending their anime from THAT side of /a/.
Definitely the best episode in Dandy for atmosphere. I tend to rewatch different episodes of Dandy for different purposes.
The date episode of Bakemonogatari, the last 2 of Tatami Galaxy, Clannad Afterstory episode 18, Shirobako final episode, Utena 37, Sora No Woto Episode 5 and 7.
Anime is good.
I still can never tell if /a/ has made this a meme or if it's seriously such an unknown fact that the author said he isn't currently dead, he put unnecessary symbolism in to keep it open ended implying Spike wasn't dead in case he ever wanted to continue the story.
K-On!! 20, 24
Tamako Market 9
Serial Experiments Lain 2
Natsume Yuujinchou San 4
All amazing episodes.
ONE OF THESE BIGS HAS GOT TO GO
Episode(s) of the year, right there.
>Not Episode 9
Chaos;Head 12, since it ended
Good lord, I don't know how I lasted through it all.
there's bad anime, and there's CHAOS HEAD
When the Ideon starts screaming in anguish along with Cosmo, that's when you know you're in for a trip
I was going to pick an episode of Paranoia Agent, but then realised I found it really hard to pick.
So "Happy Family Planning" or "Fear of a Direct Hit"
Two completely different tones but both excellently handled.
The very last episode of Hajime no Ippo Rising.
Watched all of the over 100+ episodes in the
Ippo series only to find that the greatest one was
the last episode/last fight. And it wasn't even
SSY Episode 04, when the library explains quite a bit about the history.
i generally love scenes like this.
I liked Arc Gurren Lagann more, but the reveal for Chouginga was hype as fuck
Non Non Biyori Repeat episode 4 is the greatest anime episode of all-time. The first half of the episode is a supremely well-executed build up and punchline, but it's the second half of the episode, serving as heartwarming commentary on the beauty of life's simultaneous transience and permanence, which makes it special and emotionally powerful.
Every single episode of Valvrape. The entire work is a flawless masterpiece.
Until we do get a continuation he may as well be dead. But either way I don't see how it matters: the point was that he faced his past demons and tried to move forward in life. The opposite of Vicious, who attempted to bury it once and for all by killing anyone related to it.
SnW episode seven.
And twelve and thirteen. And the first one, obviously.
Five too. Ten and eleven were great as well.
>all these TTGL episodes
>not episode 15
it was fucking perfect from start to finish
Also the episode with the old woman in the lighthouse, really poignant ending
I'm watching through this right now. God damn, the impact in that fight was amazing. I'm hesitant to watch past episode 14 though, just because I'm told it starts to go downhill in the second season.
Episodes 22-24 were a clusterfuck of orgasmic despair, I honestly don't know if I can pick a favorite out of the three of them. The usage of Ode to Joy in episode 24 would have to be the absolute best usage of that piece, or really any classical music in general, in any media that I've ever experienced, and was definitely the climax of the series.
Best show of 2010 really
Aria the Animation - EP11 - "Those Orange Days".
The one where we see Athena Glory's introduction as an Undine.
City hunter 2 double episode (EP 49/50) was nearly perfect.
What's Spike's hair color newfriend?
You interpretation of what was drawn doesn't mean that's what the author/director intended.
It's dark green by the way.
Also you're wrong. He's sleeping
