The fact that you believe that there had to be a "reason" to fall for someone proves that you're a romantic idiot, and the supposed "realism" you seek in writing doesn't exist in the real world. In most cases people don't fall for each other for "reasons", but for completely subconscious feelings that are per definitionem uncontrollable in nature. The MC hung out with each girl and a relationship developed over time. This was a lot more believable than your average harem romance where the girls fall for the MC directly after meeting him. Rihoko didn't have any "more" reason than any of the other girls.
