Their story line was actually pretty good. Almost worthy of its own manga. Better than Bleach has been in a long time.
Yeah, I'm actually curious to see what kind of role Jugo is going to play now. Bazz-B also surpassed being a Renji/Grimjow type clone.
>not putting Bleach in the thread title
It was a nice change of pace to see the Sternritter in an earlier time period; we certainly need more background regarding the first Shinigami/Quincy war.
He's either the Ulquiorra-style mid boss for Ichigo or he's the true Final Boss.
>true Final Boss
I am much more inclined to believe this.
He's just that background shounen villain waiting to unleash his ridiculous power-up. Like we seen Yhwach fighting multiple times already.
I haven't really reread this arc in a while but I'm just really confused about who these Quincies are? Are they all just ones that Kurotsuchi missed? Are they really 1000 years old? I thought Quincies were just regular humans with superpowers. From As Nodt's flashback I assumed that they were people with Quincy DNA in them like Ichigo that Yhwach found, but now they're apparently people from a different dimension?
I'm so confused. If Quincies are humans, then how come their life span is that of a Shinigami? Also, if bazz and jugo childhood seems to conflict with modern times, at least with the lifestyles and architecture.
i still didnt feel a thing with their side story, but as >>133113344 said, at least Bazz-B went from a Renji clone to an actual character
we got filters since a week ago

The main problem with Bleach is that every time Kubo tries to explore side characters and anything non-kimono samurai, the readers vote him down into oblivion and the editors ask him to go back to shinigami.
These quincies are those who escaped the first Shinigami purge by moving to an alternate soul dimension in the shadows of Soul Society and were later descendants of survivors of the purge stuck on Earth who gained powers from Yhwach as he gradually woke up.
Quincy are humans with special powers originally from Earth.
Which I can kind of get for that piece of shit, Fullbringer arc, but the Quincy stuff is interesting.
I'd like to learn more about some of these guys, but I also don't want Kubo to draw the manga out longer than he already has.
What's your deal with Ichigo, /a/? He's very fleshed out and developed for a shounen MC, he also breaks the mold of hard work and effort dumbasses turning out to have amazing bloodlines and latent talents, he is gifted and smart from the onset, only growing stronger through gaining mastery of his hereditary abilities and gaining experience. Yet everyone shits on him and say he's bland.
>piece of shit, Fullbringer arc
>Most of the side-characters and even villains are written much better than Ichi-shit.
I don't think Ichigo is really that bad of a character. At least he wasn't until
Started becoming a thing, its pretty clear that even Ichigo and co. suffer from the Gotei being too damn popular, and they get sidelined in their own manga a lot of the time.
I wonder how the series would had gone had Kubo had free hands.
As far as I understand, rest of Ichigos friends were supposed to gain some kind of powers alike to Chad and Orihime before Soul Society arc.
Chad vs a Sternritter ever?
He killed Ginjo because he was dangerous to other shinigami as well as other humans and fullbringers. He also wanted revenge and his intuition at least in regards to Ukitake was right.
Ichigo at that point in the manga wanted power and he was given power with trust from the shinigami.
Also a random observation, but Yhwach claims that Ichigo is currently at the level he was at when he defeated Aizen.
The last comment Aizen made in regards to his power was when Ichigo lost it after using Mugetsu. I don't know if Yhwach meant that Ichigo momentarily reached that level when he killed the soul king with arterie, or if he has been at that level ever since he unleashed the true zangetsu.
There are signs of him momentarily becoming unreadable, but when he approached the shakonmaku after training in the Soul King palace even Rukia could sense his reiatsu. It might be due to a "resonance" like when Yamamoto went to face Yhwach however, meaning that she's not feeling his reiatsu, but rather how it affects his surroundings.
>filtering the actual cancer that was the misappropration and severe over usage of c u c k
>filtering the negroid social media talk
It was a bit unnecessary since literally no one was using that shit seriously--making it actually just a joke or, godforbid, an actual meme--but the filters are pretty good too desu senpai
That augmented power served the purpose of defeating Aizen Sousuke
You regained the power
You had lost defeating Aizen Sousuke
In order to dispatch the Spirit King before my very eyes
One reason might be because he's suppressing it. Another may be linked to Yhwach's seeming inability to predict Ichigo's future and him underestimating Mugetsu's power.
What's Ukitake's bankai?
What's Urahara's bankai?
What's Aizen's bankai if he has one?
How can Isshin's bankai be relevant if Ryujin Jakka was the most powerful fire Zanpakuto?
What is Hado #99?
remember that Ichigo was in bankai when he fought Aizen. Now usually bankai only effects the sword (ie a x5-x10 increase in the swords power), but since he was so strongly connected with it (to the point he had literally merged with it) the boost may have been applied directly to his own reiatsu
alternatively, he's just suppressing it right now
Urahara: random conceptual shit not unlike Shunsui's bankai
Aizen: illusions become reality
Isshin: just fire and inferno instead of sun blade
Hado #99: you become the background
Not multiculturalism per say, just biodiversity.
Lille says that he does not need a body any more and uses a technique to become omnipresent, essentially he became "soul society itself" and he used this power to brutally shoot and kill Shunsui through his chest. Shunsui falls back down and Ohana places catches him on her lap. At that time Lille notices that the area around him is becoming darker and his powers are leaving him. Shunsui and Ohana become glowing white and begin dissolving. Lille disappears when the pair has fully vanished.
Well let's see. Lille will probably die in the upcoming chapter, so that leaves two Elites, Jugo and Yuha. Even if you give the Elites+Jugo five chapters each for their fights and ten to Yhwach, that will only last half a year. Another half is more than enough to cover everything else.
>readers vote him down
Like, from the usual 10th place to 15th place ?
Does it even matter ? It's pretty clear at this point Kubo has the freedom to wrap up the series however he wants and rankings are no longer a concern for him.
im expecting a run in from lisa and nanao and then deity ukitake.
theres a reason kubo made kyoraku run to the place they entered wahrwelt - so the save can be made from someone using that door. otherwise it wouldve just been kyoraku saying 'ok i got far enough away from everyone'. devils in the detail though - he said he was right next to the entrance to WW.
He's doing away with the SS without even introducing the 5 war potentials, so my guess is that Kubo is going to bring out even more fodders in the near future. Yhwach still has the rank and file converted soldiers he can beef up now that he's a god.
You know. I'm very confident that all the off panel nonsense happening this arch to speed things up will be fixed in the anime revival when the manga actually ends. It'll all end up canon, because Kubo will have nothing better to do but oversee the process.
Again with this "war potentials" horseshit. Why do you autists always attach such significance to every little concept that Kubo introduces? Did you learn nothing from the Vasto Lorde gimmick? This is this arc's version of that. If Kubo ever addresses it again, it will be a passing remark in dialog.
It's important. Yhwach has the likes of Yamamoto and Zaraki in its ranks, with Ichigo regarded as the most dangerous member and Yamamoto excluded because he's "too soft". There is way too much hype for it to go unresolved. And Kubo did deliver on the VLs during the HM arc. The suspected VLs Starrk, Barragan and Halibel as well as the VL killer Ulquiorra were all savagely strong.
There are too many fighters currently standing on the field and we've seen random nameless Quincies with the Sternritter in the palace before. There are also too many loose threads for Bleach to end any time in the near future. It may have 2-4 years left.
Exactly, the SR are 'loyal' to the current established power. The don't care about who is in charge, all that has changed is who is the bearer of the universe. Komamura's great grandfather said so. They are going to protect Yhwach because right now that is the same as protecting Soul Society and now the gotei 13 are the heretics putting the universe in danger.
The anime is never coming back. Sorry to burst your bubble. Bleach is declining in popularity as it is. There is no money to be made in doing so, and even if there were, you wouldn't be satisfied anyway unless all the original VA's returned and the animation was top tier. Which won't happen. So what's the point?
Last time I checked, Dragon Ball Super was experiencing mediocre ratings despite being one of the most famous Shonen of all time. The One Punch Man anime has some of the best animation I've seen in years for a TV show, and the nips couldn't care less. Moeshit is killing everything.
It seems the Boku no Hero anime is the only real contender to have a successful run, which is great because
the manga is actually really good.
thats what im thinking. it would be gay as fuck though. the RG would job again. RG losing to the combined gotei and some vizards who seem to lose always...it just seems too much bullshit.
>Kubo did deliver on the VLs during the HM arc
>Everything you post is purely speculative fan theories with absolutely zero supporting evidence
Spoken like a true reddit parrot and tripfaggot.
My supporting evidence is right there in that post. Do you need chapter and page references too now?
Fuck no, they're level minus 1 retards who still ask "how come Ichigo is a quincy".
I just want the burliest mother fucka in Bleach to show up and wreck somebody.
It's been far too long. I'd like to see him fight the Thor-look-alike.
LOL, yeah and Sasuke and Naruto didn't fight after they beat Kaguya, bud.
>here are the "suspects"
>they were all really strong, so that makes them VL
>the term VL hasn't been mentioned one time since Shitsagayo brought it up, as if his knowledge is reliable to begin with
>read my post about speculation, that's my evidence
Look senpai, if any of the Espada were VL, it would be the ones you mentioned, as they best fit the bill for the vague description that was given for an obscure concept that was mentioned as more of a "legend" than anything. But we'll never be able to prove that those 4 are/were one way or the other, because Kubo will never mention VL again. And VL as a concept wasn't even important to begin with, nor did it have any impact on the story in the end. It's the same case with the "war potentials."
>There is way too much hype for it to go unresolved.
Whew, lad. It's like you don't even read Bleach.
But anon, they are conected in some special way
>kubo will never bring up VL again
>who are harribel, nel and possibly grimmjow?
>being this fucking retarded
>thinking the term "Vasto Lorde" will ever be mentioned by anyone in regards to Nel or Grimmjow, regardless of whatever powerup they attain
>Not Segunda Etapa
>Thinking Harribel is coming back at all
No, anon, the retard is you.
Really, that was the best comeback you could muster? Stop insulting Kubo's creativity by projecting your 2D wet dream fantasies.
Does your teacher know you are shitposting in class?
>im here just to argue
how else was he getting hollow quincy? using her to make hybrids.
>yfw she was missing her womb (hollow hole) and who do we know who grants wishes?
I don't think it's even possible to insult Kubo's creativity cause he doesn't have it. But still, you think there's something better Nel could do other than fight the other Tercera Espada?
>a couple of million books sold worldwide and still selling
>the fact youre in this thread talking about it
>thinking the number of chapters and sold copies is an indicator of creativity
>thinking bleach is in such a low league as one piss
>this much damage limitation
I didn't think the fan theories could get any worse, but god damn, have you surpassed all expectations. You do know people fail to predict Kubo 99% of the time?
>Kubo's not creative
Yeah, okay. Why do you even read Bleach? Why are you even here?
I won't speculate as to what Kubo has in store because he always surprises. It's not always good, but it's never predictable. I certainly don't have to insert my own idea as to what I think would be "the coolest" to enjoy Bleach.
'The location of her Hollow hole is in her lower abdomen where her womb would be.'
Also Yhwach outright SAID he could just get more hollows from her. Do you even read Bleach?
I just told you that he grants wishes. her wish is a womb. children. he forcefully granted it.
damage limitation again? i just proved your dumb ass wrong again.
jump in logic? i dont know how to rephrase it to make your retarded ass understand. yhwach said he can get as many hollows as he wants from her. she was missing a womb. he grants wishes and then takes the soul.
As a matter of fact, I did.
And you will never guess why.
Askin is probably more powerful than Aizen is at the moment. The Death dealing is fucking broken, there's no effective way to deal with it and he's probably stronger than ever thanks to the Auchwalen. Ichigo may be able to get around it because he has Quincy blood himself, baka sempai desu
I'm talking both the flashback and their fight.
Now true, Bleach has been shit for a while, but I actually enjoyed their little arc. I'd read a whole manga about them.
We got a nice rivalry manga in just a few short chapters.
You're talking about the same Kubo who had Szayel impregnate Nemu with himself and then crawled out of her mouth after draining her.
Yes he does have the balls, he's done it before and he'll do it again.
Because it had more Rukia in it and that's always a good thing?
I liked the Bount arc too, I really did.
You are the epitome of shitposting. You don't ha e to like what kubo writes but to say he isn't creative is bullshit. He may be pretty bad with his presentation but his ideas and creativity is solid, you're just being a giant faggot.
It's what it says. I assume he means to say that since Ichigo unlocked the full power of Zangetsu his power is now comparable to the level it can reach when Zangetsu fuses with Tensa.
Also Ichigo's reiatsu was never said to increase in Bankai, on the contrary it wraps itself around him and compresses. If Ichigo was truly using arterie then it should be no surprise that he momentarily reached that level of power when all of powers are otherwise unrestrained.
Not even close. Kubo sure does like to waste time on characters people don't give a shit about. I guess that's why this manga has fallen so sharply in relevance and popularity
>Kubo sure does like to waste time on characters people don't give a shit about.
This is true actually; in one interview he said he tries his best to make less popular characters more likeable, and it shows with characters like a few of the vice captains (Omaeda and Chojirou come to mind specifically).
>I guess that's why this manga has fallen so sharply in relevance and popularity
And in doing so has actually increased drastically in quality, since Kubo has the freedom to end the series on his terms.
Once Bleach finishes it is going to be one of the best shounen manga to marathon. Though I pity those who will never be able to take part in Kubo's wild ride.
Anyone have a link to all the omakes?
Kubo should stop trying to make Bleach dark and edgy all the time, it works best when it isn't taking itself seriously.
Bleach has had a dark tone since chapter one and is in no way edgy, you just lack a half decent memory and basic reading comprehension and the ability to understand tone you giant vagina.
I didnt. Also i cannot into computers.
Is Rukia getting a piggy back ride from Mayuri?
I know a lot of people say Ichigo doesn't have much of a personality anymore but I think it might be on purpose. Yhwach asked Ichigo why he was even fighting anymore, all his previous battles had been to save one of his friends. Maybe I'm thinking too much into it but maybe Ichigo is going through an identity crisis
The identity crisis is in the past, this was handled in the HM arc, the FB arc and it ended with Ichigo acknowledging Zangetsu as his sword.
Now Ichigo has to face his fate and what he is. Can you imagine that we're 650 chapters in and NO ONE can give a clear answer on what Ichigo's power is, not even Ichibei?
Yhwach changes his mind about his plans with Ichigo every second chapter or so, so it's reasonable to assume that he can't see shit from Ichigo's future and he's just faking it to save face, to not alert him.
Not the guy you were responding to, but you're fucking reaching too hard to come to that conclusion. He's referring to the arrancars in Huenco Mundo, hence why The Jail quincy was recruiting new pawns.
Wasn't the Quincy story supposed to be a prequel about the war in the first place? I heard this second hand so I'm not sure but the editors (allegedly) forced Kubo to make it part of the current storyline.
Would explain why this arc feels so convoluted (more so than usual with Bleach).
So last week the Memories of the Soul segment got around to the Visored. Considered what's been covered previous, think Shinji might actually get to win a fight against The Miracle?
Ichigo is the best shounen main character of all time. The only ones who hate him are butthurt and jealous Wan Piss fans, because Luffy doesn't come close at all.
We haven't seen Shinji's Bankai, and he's been getting a fair amount of panel time and seems to be acting kind of like the de facto leader of the shinigami group now that Kyoraku is gone. I feel like him jobbing up until now was because he was being saved for this fight, not because Kubo was trying to show he's not relevant any more.
If you're gonna try to argue that Bankai aren't any good, Kyoraku is the last example you should use.
The last stage of his Bankai is literally he cuts a string and your head falls off. If that's not good I don't know what is.
Lille was shitting his pants up until just now, and is now pretty desperately using what is presumably some form of Ransoutengai in order to cling to life.
It reminds me of the Armstrong family
Is it supposed to be some kind of voodoo face?
....time to read the chapter and check!
This revelation seems to come out of nowhere but I somehow don't really hate it.
>Lille turned into some kind of bird monster thing.
It's unclear, maybe it's bad translation? Like Nanao asks Shunsui to take her Zanpakuto, but instead Shunsui returns it to her? How many swords are we talking about here? Does she have a Zanpakuto besides the ninja one, but thought that bringing the number of swords Shunsui has to three would be helpful?
Also is Nanao Shunsui's daughter?
What the fuck is this thing?
So wait, what's going on? I think the revelation is that one of Shunsui's blades is actually Nanao's? But Nanao tells Shunsui to take her sword, and then a few pages later Shunsui says he'll give it back to her. So who had it?
Also is this going where I think it's going? Because it sounds like Kubo's setting up Nanao as Shunsui's daughter.
I don't know what you're talking about.
It looks hilarious as fuck.
Well, Tousen and Zaraki
I guess that taking them makes you kinda transform them but keep their original essence.
First he took the mother's, then he took the daughter's because the mother didn't want her to fight or something.
Both swords look similar because of spiritual heritage.
We know that Shinigami can take swords from others, and kind of shape them to their spirit afterward.
One belongs to the mother, the other to the daughter.
Mother dies, Shunsui loves her, takes her sword. Also, somehow Mother makes Shunsui promise to take the sword from the Daughter whenever she becomes a Shinigami to keep her away from fighting, or because she knows that Daughter's sword power could be similar to hers, and wants her to avoid something tragic as Mother's bankai is (and indeed, both spirits are quite similar).
Then, Daughter becomes a Shinigami, Shunsui takes her under his wing and takes the sword away, now he has both swords.
I'm not sure what the relationship with these too are at all anymore.
Probably. Although since we saw that Nanao was a small child in TBtP which was only a hundred years or so ago, her mother must have died (and thus given Shunsui her zan) not too long before that.
Meanwhile though, Shunsui is supposed to be hundreds if not thousands of years old. He must have had a zanpakuto before he inherited Nanao's and her mother's. What happened to it?
just stashed his sword away, because he prefer's the Mother's one because of grief/love, the Daughter's one because of promise, and maybe he can keep both of them because of how similar are them but he can't keep his own also because they would be incompatible, or carrying 3 swords is a hassle.
Own sword -> stashed away
Carry Nanao's and her mother's together -> both are spiritually compatible to work together
Carry Nanao's -> because of the promise
Carry the mother's -> because of love/grief, same as pink haori
Don't carry his -> because 3 swords is a hassle, or it would be incompatible to work together with the other 2, or because the other 2 together are better than his own individually.
>Has a OHKO move that can't miss
Face it, against anyone whose power isn't literally "I AM INVULNERABLE BECAUSE GOD MADE ME THAT WAY DURR HURR" Kyoraku's Bankai is bullshit strong.
Literally different than any of the other VC fights this arc, though. Rukia & Renji wrecked sternritters who tore captains apart because "lol that's not actually your swords real power", and Nemu blew up the SK's arm because "lol I was only using 1% of my power".
Expect the next fight to have Shinji job out (again) so that Aizen can reveal he used illusions to hide Hinamori's real power, which is actually beyond captain tier, or some other such bullshit.
But then, what if carrying spiritually incompatible swords wouldn't allow them to fully express themselves?
Like how Quincies can't reach their full power (Volstandig) if they are holding/using someone else's Bankai.
An /a/non actually foresaw the zanpakto reveal. The exact same pages were used by Kubo during the reveal.
If Shunsui is the only shinigami with two swords in unreleased state, then it's possible that tachi was always his, while the wakizashi belonged to the mother. It is said that wakizashi was a standard female weapon in Japanese culture, they even got it as part of their dowry.
Since he now wielded two swords, maybe he ended up imprinting some of his soul onto the other spirit as well, hence why it shares some details in appearance with Ohana. Ohana also acts as sort of a guardian to ninja girl, like Shunsui acts towards Nanao.
Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
I don't see anyone ever bringing that horse shit theory image collage about how Zangetsu didn't have guard because it's not Ichigo's 'real Zanpakuto' after he got his real one in Royal Realm which turned out to NOT have a guard too.
And when the mother died she just passed down her sword for Nanao to own (instead of getting a brand new one from Ooetsu), but made Shunsui promise that he'd never let her use it.
>The mother's sword actually has the ability to create any play imaginable, but Shunsui can only create the same lover's tragedy because of his own grief.
>Nanao's sword can play any child's game and be switched at will, but Shunsui can't actually control which game the sword chooses because it's not his zan.
I really dig the owl face with the sideways eyelids, the snake neck is a little much, and I like the confusing sword knee legs thing going on it's appropriately alien. Him now having a full head of hair and the general whiteness of the face, particularly around the ears, gives off an oddly grecian vibe, and makes it seem like this was some totally unrelated design at first that Kubo only now salvaged by tying into Lille on a whim.
Neither are his, One is Nanao and Lisa's mother, the other is some Zanpaktou he stole from another man.
If anything the Zanpaktou that Nanao had before this is actually Kyouraku's.
Wait, stolen, where?
Also, I support the notion that Shinigami doesn't need to get a brand new sword at the academy, maybe they could just use a family inherited one and imprint it a bit with their spirit.
So, one sword is Shunsui's.
The other is Nanao's (which previously belonged to her mother).
Part of watching weekly/monthly releases is speculating, Kubo pulls shit out of left field and almost nothing is out of the realm of possibility.
Berserk Threads are full of speculation as well.
But Nemu totally beefed it at the last second. Which actually provides some tension for Nanao. Like if anything Nanao is a less popular character with not as much going on as Nemu does, so her fate could really go either way.
So how is it her zan? Because she had the right to inherit it from her mother? So it's still her mother's soul, not her own like a zan typically is. So she's had no contact with the spirit for what, most of her life? What possible good can it even do. And what of her actual zan?
Well, as far as I get it, zan typically are part of your soul, which you imprint in it when you get the sword at the academy.
But we've clearly seen Tousen getting a dead women's sword, and then reimprinted it with his own spirit.
Maybe it is her actual zan, both hers and her mother. Mother dies, inherit it with part of her soul, and then when she owns it she also imprints it with her soul, like a mix of both.
Right, which is why they're similar. We've already seen that parent & child Shinigami have similar swords (Isshin being able to use getsuga), so it makes sense that Nanao's & her mother's blades are similar. It would actually make less sense if the other blade was Shunsui's.
A Shinigami can't just take the zanpakuto of another and use the abilities they had or whatever.
When the shinigami dies the zanpakuto's spirit dies and the sword just becomes a blank, like the ones Oetsu makes.
Then the new owner can imprint on that blank and make it his own.
we SMT now
The most angelic designs are the most fucked up.
Nah, Shunsui is at worst dead and at best disabled for the rest of the arc. The theme of the arc has been the changing of the guard. All the old shinigami like Yamamoto, Unohana, etc have been killed, the RG got BTFO, and the old SK is dead and replaced. Shunsui sticking around to help out would break the pattern. The old is being swept away for the dawn of a new era.
Yeah but we've been told/shown repeatedly that any amount of power from a zanpakutou comes from practice and communicating with the spirit via meditation, or cheating and using Urahara's doll. Getting her zan back now ought to be no better than waking her sword up for the first time. I know Kubo will probably have some excuse to sidestep all that, but it just seems like this wasn't an especially well thought out twist.
that's just straight up biblical angel nonsense
You guys suck at comprehension.
Kyouraku's sword is Ohana, the other one is Nanao's. Ohana is his memory of Nanao's mother imprinting on the sword, hence why the two look similar in terms of eye color, hair color, etc.
The reason she comments on the kimono being from another woman is because it's Nanao's mothers. It's why Ohana asks for hostile towards Kyouraku because she can never stand up to someone he still loves after all this time. There is a reason for why both swords do certain things with Kyouraku.
>"Unlike your lieutenant, who's all business, my counterpart approaches battle as a type of game. Catch a dragonfly, and she'll pluck off its wings. Catch a butterfly, and she'll drown it in water. Catch a cicada, and she'll rip off its legs. She can be very innocent and ingenuous, but merciless and cruel at the same time. I like to enjoy the finer things in life, but she's different. In fact, she tends to be rather dark and malicious. After seeing what she's capable of right before your eyes, it would be hard to accept her."
That's a good quote. To Kyouraku, Nanao's mother was actually dark and liked to play games, while his sword can only do nothing but remember a lover's suicide and a swallowing abyss, probably something he didn't end up going through with, but the mother did.
It's pretty simple. They're both acting under his imprinting, one is Kyouraku's, one is Nanao's. Both abilities are Kyouraku's though.
I think it's a good design. It kinda has the hair and face appearance of the stereotypical bishi angel, but is obviously deformed with the sideways eyes and dry out, etc. It also has the crazy monstrous body. It shows that he's not really divine, just a bad imitation. It shows that Yhwach's creations are flawed.
Unohana was the one that fixed most of the ridiculous damage from the Arrancar arc. Presumably Isane would be able to help if she hadn't been off screened by X. That leaves Hanatarou who somehow became 3rd seat in the midst of a war, and while he was up and about last we saw him he's also apparently vanished from the scene. Fuck knows where the old 3rd seat, Iemura, is.
Shunsui is talking to Kubo in these panels.
I believe it's from the anime during that Soul Arc or whatever. It's a good enough quote regardless though that helps to figure out the general personality of the swords and to better equate to how they work with this new bit of information from the manga, especially since Kubo did work on that anime Arc.
And then the fuzzy rifle made sense. You made fun of it. But then he had an owl face.
I'm just gonna take a wild fucking guess and say that Nanao is Shunsui's daughter from an extra-marital relationship. If she can use Kyokotsu then she must be a blood relative of the original owner.
But damn, who would've thought? Always kept her just close enough to be out of harm's way.
Not gonna happen, he already chose his royal guard, Haschwalt, Pernida, Lille, Askin and Valkyrie. I'm not sure how Ishida functions there since he's becoming ywach's successor.
No, there's more to it. Nanao clearly says that she was going to give Kyouraku her zanpaktou, the small one she keeps hidden in her robes.
Instead Kyouraku wants to give her his zanpaktou which he now claims belonged to her.
I feel like it implies his divinity is genuine. Gods (or whatever you want to call spirit king and Yhwach's species) are freaky and inhuman. For a quincy becoming freaky and inhuman isn't a "flaw", it really does mean they're becoming something closer to a god.
Its not comparable to arrancar or hollow hybrids, where being inhuman generally means they were poorly made or don't have their shit under control.
