I will post this every day until Christmas!
>Went to see if they had Christmas cards
>The waiting is suffering.
Never give up!
Like staring at 4chan threads for entertainment while sitting on a transit bus?
Found out I'm gonna be working for 4 hours on Xmas day today, which means I can't travel home for Christmas.
Another Christmas with /a/ is on the cards.
Last year was actually pretty fun on /a/. I was at home for Xmas day, but a lot of my family members were away so I spent most of the day online.
You can't just put a hat on everything! Putting a Santa hat on something does not make it Christmas themed!
>You can't just put a hat on everything
Hats make everything better
>Go to Michaels to buy supplies for /ss/ gift making
>They haven't put out any of the ornaments I need to buy
80 cents for two packages of black and silver Halloween ribbon wasn't bad though
But color it in your own style. Glitter, oils, macaroni, Crayons™, etc
Don't let the fact that you're not allowed to use scissors keep you from delivering!
>Is glad their Facebook profile pic is not related to them.
Okay. Anyone from /ss/ who wants a Christm/a/s CD has only three more days to get their list in before I close up shop.
Send me your favorite anime list to [email protected]
If you're absolutely stuck for ideas on making a design from scratch, just get a storebought card with a reindeer or penguin on the front, draw a relevant wig on a separate piece of paper/card, cut out and glue wig on animal. Then decorate the insides of the card with crayon scribble and well wishing.
>went through his public photos anyway to find one
>First Christmas without moot.
First time sending cards here, can anyone answer these:
How many stamps do I put on the envelope?
Does the card size matter?
Is there a weight limit? I plan to decorate it and shit
it has to be pretty heavy for a card to need anything more than 1 stamp, but when in doubt take it to the post office and let them figure it out. There's no shame, most people under 40 have never mailed out anything that didnt come with a prepaid envelope and the post office employees are used to these questions.
Good idea, better than me fucking up and accidentally grinching my /ss/.
Is there a specific size for cards? I'm making them myself
If it is under:
1 ounce $0.42
2 ounces $0.59
3 ounces $0.76
Got doubts? Let the post office weigh them! Just try not to do it closer to the holidays as the post office becomes a zoo in the final weeks...
You can go as big as you want, usual card size is an 8 1/2 X 11 paper folded in half, but other anons have done full page size cards and glued them together. Depends on the size of what you want to put in the card.
I'm ready to make some shitty cards
>Make cards from 8.5 x 11 paper?
What the hell did you even buy? Copics?
I hope those are decent quality pencil crayons because that sounds like highway robbery.
Please tell me these are not Prismacolors.
There are good colored pencils: Faber Castell, Caran D'Ache, Derwent...
>Postal service lists the majority of my stuff as delivered
>Front desk is closed in my building so I can't get the parcel
It's just one waiting game after another with /ss/, isn't it?
As an aside, how do you guys ship your gifts? I 'm wary about shipping a wrapped box so I'm thinking of wrapping each thing individually and putting them in a larger box together.
On that note where the fuck do I buy boxes
I wrap my gifts and then buy packaging boxes at the post office to put them in. You can get boxes from craft stores or even generic retail stores, depending on how fancy you want it.
you could buy boxes in the your local post office or maybe Staples? assuming you're living in the US
Office supply store is your best bet for shipping boxes. Can also be obtained at places like The U.P.S store and some FedEx offices.
>his house isn't buried under Mandarake boxes and bubblewrap that is perfectly recyclable
Reusing masses of stuffing paper and airbags is a great way to stop the gifts jiggling about on their journey and potentially tearing on the edges.
I would post cropped screenshots of my WIP cards, but then again for all I know they may be lurking these threads right now.
I hope that I won't give myself away in the designs.
My card /ss/ didn't specify "no lewd" so it's safe to assume that I can make it lewd right?
Meanwhile, just south of the Frosty Moe region...
I find it easier to choose a lower bracket and go over it than to choose a higher bracket and fulfill it.
I'm in the Southern Trap Region, myself...
Frost moe region here
No snow yet though ;_;
Shounen Region represent.
It's November and it's going to be 20°C tomorrow. This is absolutely wild. Maybe it won't be white Christmas after all.
In South of England we just had a white Halloween. Didn't stop people setting off fireworks they couldn't see.
They're saying we gonna be icy as fuck in time for Christmas. Last year was really mild so maybe it's trying to make up for it.
>icy as fuck
That's the worst part of winter if you drive. Getting through snowstorms to deliver /ss/ gifts or freezing in the frigid temperatures is bearable but as soon as your car starts spinning out on the roads, even with winter tires, that's when things have gone bad.
We don't even have winter tyres down here, it's going to be fun watching the news go crazy. In the end 'icy as fuck' for us is going to look like a blanket of slush to everyone else, but it makes us no more prepared for it. I travel by train so driving won't be a problem, but the overhead lines start sparking, and idiots leave the windows open in freezing wind.
Actually, maybe I should be careful to beat the mail deadline early this year. If they claim the vans are held up by weather it'll take god knows how long.
Definitely send your stuff as soon as possible. From the previous times, I've seen people receiving stuff extremely late, even after January. While that's probably more due to issues with the address/information than the delivery service itself, it's better to send it earlier so you can rectify any issues sooner.
Just make sure to leave a note telling your /ss/ not to open it before Christmas if it arrives early.
You say that like it's a bad thing. Spending Christmas with /a/ is way better than being with family.
>excessive violence region
>still haven't been murdered yet
Why must you prolong my suffering.
