Less than two hours, guys.
And fuck off, Mugino.
Akari a CUTE
>people taking this show seriously
If you're 5 episodes in and you're surprised that this show is a parody I'm not sure what's more retarded, you or the show. Probably you because the show at least knows it's joking.
Holy shit this was so bad. I can stand shitty shows like this fairly well, but as far as standalone episodes go, this is probably the worst I've seen in a long while.
Seems this year they've been working pretty hard on going back to their pre-2011 status as a shit tier studio.
Last episode was pure filler that could have been condensed into this episode. This episodes fight was pure shot
Two fucking weeks down the drain, and this season started off good, what a shame
What's wrong with the nails in this show? They always look strange in close-ups, like they're fakes glued onto the fingers or something. Just what is Dogakobo trying to do here? It's irritating me every episode anew. I'm not even expecting any good production values from AA, but even the most budget starved LN commercial crap usually manages to do decently pretty hands for their girls.
Useless ninja, only good for _______.
Only if you got yakisoba bread on you.
The degree of retardation in this show got too much this episode. I mean, come on guys, there's someone shooting at you who has 6 shots and then needs to take some seconds to reload, and you have an Uzi. So you hide whilst they reload, and then run out when they can fire again. OK, I've never had any military training or anything like that, but doesn't that seem like a fucking stupid strategy? Shouldn't you rush them the moment the last shot is fired?
>bullet proof clothes
>gun wielding midget highschoolers
>they are allowed to carry guns
>they are allowed to use live ammunition
And you try to use logic in a show like this?
Why are ninja girls always the best?
>carriers so huge they contain entire cities
>tank driving midget highschoolers
>they compete against each other in a national tournament
>they are allowed to use live ammunition
>and yet they act like rational human beings
What's your point?
You won't be seeing him for a while. It's cameos from here on out until Kaname's arc starts up later in the series. He does make a small appearance in chapter 37 with Aria but that's more of an allusion to volume 4 where Kinji took Aria out on a festival date.
>take a wacky action harem
>turn it into the nightmarish fever dream version of Marimite
Who thought this would be a good idea?
It's a side story. Aria does appear in this series but the focus is on Akari, a new character introduced in this spin-off.
It is. For some reason, Reki's hair color is always inconsistent when it comes to color illustrations.
Honestly this is one of the lamest fights I've seen this year, and I watch a shit ton of low budget shit.
>that non existence animation
>directing is total shit
>villain standing in the middle of the place shooting slowly like a retard
>oh noes! she's out of my range, she's standing like 20 meters away
It's like they intentionally made this show look bad.
>They had to get there first.
Exactly, and they did. Look at this scene and tell me they didn't make the villain retarded on purpose.
I wouldn't have minded if it was at least funny, but this shit was just plain cringe worthy.
She's just hiding her power levels like Kinji, Mamiya houshold made her(and her sister) train at a young age for assassination skills after all.
Dogakobo is really good at moe SoL that focuses on making characters cute.
I don't know why they're doing something that's supposed to be actiony. They're clearly not good at it.
>Is it really Dogakobo's fault for the weird action scene?
>That's how it happened in the manga. In fact, it's literally shot for shot the manga.
Doesn't mean they couldn't improve scene by making it more impactful
Considering the overall animation quality, I don't think they have the ressources to mess with the content in any creative and fruitful way even if they were given a free pass.
I guess they thought they could turn anything into gold, tried to expand into more genres and ended fucking up pretty much everything they did this year. It could happen to anyone.
Though I still don't get why people idolize them so much for their SoL stuff. Yes, they're fairly consistent, but pretty much any studio can do that and all the really good/popular ones always come from somewhere else.
I thought about, for instance, not showing the looooooooooooooong reloading scenes.
And be it form or content, the studio is bound by the copyright holders I believe.
You can speculate all you want, but it's just as likely that they were allowed to do anything as long as they didn't break the source material and went full retard by themselves. In the end we still end up with a really shitty episode.
Akari comes from a line of powerful (the most powerful, in fact) Assassins but she hides her powers, because she doesn't even know she has them. They only manifest if absolutely necessary.
>but pretty much any studio can do that
Maybe they should start doing that then. Pretty silly if they could easily match the SoL Dogakobo animation quality and decide not to do it for no good reason.
The main problem was the pacing of the scene.
Also, no it wasn't exactly like the manga. The whole stupid arena thing didn't exist. Akari never fired her UZI. Urara only reloaded once. In total it was like 16 pages in the manga, mostly action. It should have taken 1/2 or 1/3 of the time compared to what it did.
> We will never see Durandal in AA
Also fucking IU with their rube goldberg machines
From what I read she showed up twice in the manga. First was arriving same time with Kyouchikuto, same time period vol2 main series.
Second time as a some background commentator together with Riko and Kyouchikuto in Akari's fight with her cousin from the Mamiya branch family, this was just before the CaoCao incident.
She's already in anime the whole time. Also a Minamoto no Yoshitsune
Vlad shows up in Akari's flashback when EU attacked their village.
This, I don't know if Genghis Khan is still alive like Sherlock or what, haven't read past the translated novels yet. AA's manga is quite readable even with low moonrune skills since there's furigana on tanks raws.
