That's a lot of firepower, shame it didn't really help with the Meteor or Sea King.
Does he ever have his time to shine? I remember he has a good fight with Sonic, but Sonic gets the drop of him because Genos can't use AoE attacks with Fubuki nearby.
>At least he's better off than Sonic though
But Sonic at least got to be fondled by Saitama
I want to join the Hero Association and mingle with my peers.
Christ, his entire weight and momentum came down on that that.
Empathetic pain intensifies.
Oh shit, that reminds me Genos actually didn't job when he defeated the robot sent to fight King. He also got some upgrades out of that.
Who would have won here?
True. Being Genos is suffering, though his fight against Sea King was pretty cool. You even get to see his brain.
Why Genos, though? Genos couldn't even handle Asura Rhino before his upgrades or Fuhrer Ugly after them, but Sweet Mask can deal with Dragon level threats (Fuhrer Ugly being one of the exceptions). Sweet Mask is clearly stronger.
What's Saitama thinking here?
Sweet Mask is about as strong or a little bit stronger than Metal Bat judging by the way they argue with each other. He just doesn't want any weaklings moving on to S class so he weeds out the undesirables.
>my feet hurt
>c class my ass
>wonder if genos likes udon
>who doesn't like udon
>nobody, so he must like udon
>but does he even need to eat?
>do androids poop?
>does he wear underwear, then?
>i need to stop thinking of other mens' underwear
>but it's part of the hero costume
>wonder why it went out of style
>then again, i didn't go with the briefs-on-the-outside look either
>ah, i'm still thinking about underwear, shit
I fucking love that side stepping into position.
A shame, we won't see Sonic get blown out this season by Serious Series Sidesteps.
What is this expression trying to convey?
That's irrelevant. Genos instantly got K.O.'d by his DEPOWERED form. He also got instantly K.O.'d by Mosquito Girl's powered up form.
There's no reason to think that Sweet Mask would have been incapable of fighting Asura Rhino's depowered form, or assuming that Asura Rhino was even all that powerful even powered up compared to the other Dragon level threats in the Monster Association who showed similar abilities (super strength, mostly, but also super speed). He was Dragon class, for sure, but that's about it. He could very well be only at Fuhrer Ugly's level. The guy had super speed and super strength too, after all. In any case, he's nothing worth touting as being 'one of the strongest antagonists introduced'.
The only thing Asura Rhino had going for him was his genius level intellect. Otherwise, he's just a re-skinned Fuhrer Ugly. The House of Evolution is essentially an inferior Monster Association. They only had 1 Dragon and 2 Demon level monsters, after all.
No. He's only Dragon rate. He's basically Homeless Emperor, but with super strength.
Boros is rated ABOVE Dragon rate. If not God, then definitely in a special class above normal Dragon class disasters.
Garou and Boros were easily God level.
Garou single handedly beat every single S class hero and Boros destroyed the entirety of A city and had enough power to laugh Saitama to the fucking moon
If Saitama weren't they they could have easily destroyed everything
The way ONE keeps avoiding the God label make me think that he's reserving it for as something like the Bat Signal for Blast. It makes sense when the Association really don't want to call on Blast, the God threat label would probably be the only thing that Blast would respond to.
>yfw the first god level threat was placed on Saitama for some stupid misunderstanding.
>yfw It's the first appearance of Blast as well for the Blast vs Saitama arc
How do we help Saitama's popularity?
It's not killing intent, more like how fucking shit this guy is just absurdly powerful.
Your face when the premonition was actually talking about Saitama.
He lost to Fuhrer Ugly after all his upgrades thus far. Genos being 'constantly upgraded' doesn't really mean anything when comparing all these characters' strengths with each other as we're talking about Genos before he got all his upgrades. Genos has certainly gotten stronger, but Sweet Mask is already at the strength level he showed during the Monster Association arc.
Among the Monster Association's cadre of Dragon level monsters, Asura Rhino would be one of the weaker ones from what he's shown so far. All brute strength, and nothing to show us if he was even all that especially powerful. Fuhrer Ugly had super speed, but Golden Sperm clearly exceeded him by far.
He might have removed them and given them back to the doctor to perform more upgrades with the sparring data from Saitama. When Genos goes after the meteor he has a suitcase that is actually another pair of advanced arms, so most likely Genos will go the route of Tony Stark and have arms for special situations
Poor Genos destined to job forever.
No, despite his infinite power, he's got a good moral character.
No matter how bored/tired of life he is, he still tries to do the good thing.
Hell, he's showed more moral fibre than most heroes in the story.
Why Snek instead of Snake?
>That's a lot of firepower, shame it didn't really help with the Meteor or Sea King.
The issue with Genos is that most of his most damaging attacks are AOE and would level entire city blocks. This cause issues when, in Seaking arc, he was right next to the damaged evacuation shelter.
Genos must have been stokes like getting a scholarship at Harvard or Oxford.
Ate so much he got noodles through his nostrils.
Jesus Christ. Beverages I understand, but how the fuck do you get a noodle there?
>No, despite his infinite power, he's got a good moral character.
>No matter how bored/tired of life he is, he still tries to do the good thing.
>Hell, he's showed more moral fibre than most heroes in the story
I like the way ONe handled Saitama, who is very hard to write for.
Saitama is not a saint, so he is relate-able. But he isn't a bastard either and try to do the right thing whenever he can. He isn't as much of a paragon of virtue like licence-less Rider, but he keeps himself in check.
It helps that he has a lot of patience for anything not supermarket sales related. Saitama in particular never judge people by appearances, and will give ANYBODY a second chance.
Saitama is good, but not TOO good. He lets things slide, don't take offence for anything unrelated to being bald, and stay humble amongst weaker beings. He has just enough flaws for him to still be a "normal guy".
He's all NO MERCY on monsters though.
You just have to cross a line and he'll kill you instantly. When Garou transformed he hasn't killed anyone, so Saitama still thinks of him as a human.
Guys like Shadowboxer man etc. who already killed people he treats as monsters, and he kills them if they so much as raise a finger at him.
He'll probably spare them if they beg though, like rover.
He didn't see Rover kill anyone, though. Same with Black Sperm. Or Kombu Infinity and Armored Gorilla, for that matter.
It's not even a matter of whether or not he's seen them kill anyone. He spares them if they repent, kills them if they come at him with the intent to kill (since, going by the fight against Garou, he's got enough martial skill to tell if someone is going easy on him or not).
As the Garou arc pointed out, the monster community agreed that murdering humans is a job requirement for them. They even told Garou to "go kill 100 people, then we would let you join us".
So in many ways, at this point there is agreement from both sides that mass killings is a line that one draws to leave humanity behind. Not very common in fiction that even the monsters know their role in society.
Let's just say the power consumption is too much for his core (which we saw during the Meteor chapters), so his sparring match arms were converted into a suitcase form for him to equip while he uses a weaker, but more efficient model at all other times.
This was a cool shot. I particularly liked it.
Does Genos beat anyone?
All I remember is Armoured Gorilla and G4, but they were off-screen.
Being Genos is suffering.
>that feel in your nose when liquid accidentally comes out
>Saitama is a measly C-class
Why do people act as if he's such a big deal?
Man. What a fraud. The Hero Association has really fallen, hasn't it? Heh. Not like it was anything big in the first place. Heroes? Anyone could just go out there and brawl a bit with these so-called monsters, you don't need a special title or organization for people like that. What a waste of money, lol. Give us back our money, lol.
Heh. Well, it's not like the Hero Association is always useless. Their site is a great place to get pics of Tatsumaki's Tatsumakis and Fubooty's Fuboobies, lol. More pics for the fap folder, lol.
I can't wait to feel mad again,
and healed soon after.
What scenes are you looking forward?
The anime has really made me appreciate how awesome Genos' heat blasts are, so there's the upcoming Meteor chapter. I also want to see how the anime depicts Metal Knight's missiles, as they're supposed to be pretty impressive.
I have never been more disappointed in bullshit animation that captures "muh action". I feel like I am watching a Michael Bay film instead of engaging in a worthwhile mental pursuit. One punch man has some redeeming qualities, namely my favorite character (OPM) seems like a satire, which in intellectual but then they attempt to have "muh action scenes" that are not plausible and take up too much time with animation at the expense of dialogue.
But who would win in a fight, Saitama who just missed a once in a lifetime supermarket sale, or a slightly drunk Jackie Chan holding a baby in a construction zone and
HE DON'T WANT TO TRABBLE?
If anything Genos already got his only victory (armored gorilla) for what they will adapt in the Anime.
He'll try and fail to stop the meteor.
He'll try and fail to kill Sea King.
He'll get rekt by Tats for talking shit.
That's it for his battle/jobbing scenes for the Anime.
we like him for this reason. He's fucking strong for standard, but also incredibly unfortunate. He could easily beat Sea King if he had not been distracted. Many of his defeats, are often caused by his personality and his impetuosity to act.
the words you speak are true. sucks so much of the fight got a redraw
if any filler please please please be police station
>He could easily beat Sea King if he had not been distracted
Nah, considering the situation he was totally losing. Only way for Genos to get him with his fast as hell regeneration would have been to use a huge ass incineration attack like in the sparring. Except he was in town.
>Was the whole sweet mask part a filler?
There was not enough content for a full episode but not enough time for a 3rd arc. So ONE and Murata was asked to script a sequence explaining how Sweet Mask would view Genos' promotion into S rank.
>dumbasses actually believe this shit
Í thought the same about the Sonic VS Saitama fight and the Genos VS Saitama fight, but the redraw of Boros is fucking tits man, seriously.
I actually re-read it today, it's excellent.
While I don't think that DBZ had bad animation, it wasn't THAT good either.
I can't fucking read this manga, Saitama had too much to endure
it happens when you eat noodles too fast and end up semi chocking, then you cough it out and it goes through your nose.
The discomfort stays there even after you take the noodle out.
Sweet Mast would have won 100 percent guaranteed.
he got an arm cut off and just casually put it back on, he got pierced several times through the chest by Evil Natural Water and just shook it off.
The dude is probably Majin Boo
>he got an arm cut off and just casually put it back on, he got pierced several times through the chest by Evil Natural Water and just shook it off.
>The dude is probably Majin Boo
He DOES take damage though, the guy isn't a full regenerator like Zombieman. So my suspicion is that his stamina and recovery is finite. The fact that he was defeated by Garou without any special means, suggest that he is powerful but extremely restricted in how much damage he could shake off.
>The fact that he was defeated by Garou without any special means, suggest that he is powerful but extremely restricted in how much damage he could shake off.
I think they hinted that he could be stronger if he let go of his composure which is something he is against since its " ugly "
I just don't think Sweet Mask was ever meant to be a powerhouse.
He is the head of PR for the entire Hero Association. He has more political power than he really deserves. I see any powerlevel discussions concerning him to be missing the forest for the trees. Sweet Mask is going to be a political obstacle that can't be solved by punching.
My pet theory is that he's actually a monster that idolizes heroes and the heroic ideal. He shapeshifts (hence his limited regenerative abilities) and keeps a human form as a "sweet mask" so he can live as a hero and personally test any hero that would aspire to the top. He needs to maintain his composure or else he'd revert to his true form, which inevitably means holding back in fights.
I still say he is holding back . theyve hinted several times when they shadow his face and it gets super veiny. The forest is on roids. the reason for it will naturally be revealed > might not make him a power house but he is hiding something juicy
Do you think Saitamas' power has got to do with the "god" Homeless Emperor saw?
Jesus Christ, how horrifying.
He'd be ecstatic.
He'll fight at 100% his pre-baldy form, which was still strong enough to send monsters flying in one blow and at least enough defense to take hits.
He'll still get crushed repeatedly, and his acquaintences will have to step in to stop the killing blows. But he'll keep getting up, a smile on his face before the wholly desperate situation, and go in for another blow, when suddenly
He breaks his limits again and kills Evil God in one punch.
You can see how happy he becomes one he notices the top half and Genos praises.
The fall must have been hard. ;_;
If only you knew, Saitama.
>Why the fuck is Genos losing an arm every single fight?
Because he is borderline suicidal. And because his upgrades focus on higher damage and not increased endurance.
As it stands he really should start to ask for more defence. Because right now he has enough firepower to defeat most Dragon threats already. (He wasn't before with Kabuto. But he is now.)
And now that he can do damage, his weakness is getting defeated too fast, way before his enemy goes down.
I'm 100% confident genos could defeat (or at least be very close to it) Sea King if not the Acidic Spit (which Saitama would just shrug off).
But the real reason eh did not win is because how this manga works- it had to be Saitama.
Well, in fact how THE manga works, any of it - it always ceneterd around main protag.
Which hero(s) could beat Sonic?
Bonus points if they're not S class.
Saitama doesn't blow everything up. See Ground Dragon or the Underground King. He holds himself back just enough to make sure they don't get smooshed.
Genos has the advantage against post-rain Sea King too, though, as his heat rays would dry Sea King up.
>Who is Lightspeed Flash
>No. Most Dragon threats can whoop him 1 on 1.
You are technically right. But I am saying he is losing to Dragons because he is imbalanced. Too much firepower and not enough defence. He already have enough means to harm Dragons, but he couldn't go toe-to-toe with them. That's why he lost. So "more firepower" isn't the answer.
The limitation of a machine body. His body can clearly withstand a lot, but it's not like Dr. Stench can just decide to concentrate on improving his armoring. He's already the best of what Dr. Stench is capable of making. He can't make any progress himself unless Dr. Stench is capable of it. So he's slower and less tough than Dragon class monsters.

It is perhaps a surprise to find that Silver Fang, who started out looking like just an old man, may in fact be defensively tougher than Genos. It is a path Genos choose to walk, but he might have realised by now that being a cyborg meant losing certain perks. Being organically human in OPM isn't that bad.
Another example; recently we saw Metal Bat being smashed through several walls by Elder Centipede. He was entirely unperturbed. Metal Bat finds it difficult to harm the monster, but he CAN harm it. And since he can survive the attacks, unless something changes he would be able to outlast and defeat it even if they had to exchange blows.
Something similar happens with PriPri prisoner. In that PriPri has decent attack power but could not outlast the Seaking in endurance.
Nearly all Dragon Class monsters turn their battles into marathons, not sprints. So unless the hero is Saitama, the only way to beat them is to be able to take their best shot and survive.
> On an imageboard for the discussion of chinese cartoons
> Expecting the average maturity to be greater than that of a 12 year old girl
>So unless the hero is Saitama, the only way to beat them is to be able to take their best shot and survive.
Well no, I mean, we saw Bang one shot several. And then there's Tatsu.
Depending on the specific S class hero, they're unable to take out a Demon-Dragon level threat in just one hit (Metal Bat can beat Demon level monsters in one hit, yeah, but he has to rouse himself up first into getting serious).
I think, at a certain point, either a hero and monster can take each other out in one decisive attack (meaning whoever hits first wins), or they're unable to do so forcing them into an endurance contest like you said. Those seem to be the 2 extremes of how fights between high level opponents go.
Chews the ice too.
Truly the most laid back and humblest of heroes.
How do we get Saitama the fan club he deserves?
>So yeah, Flash is definitely way faster than Sonic.
I think ONE is being coy about telling us if Flash have any relation with Sonic. I say there is a very high probability that Flash is also a ninja and eventially we will see Sonic's Ninja Village.
>Yeah. Manga or anime. Those are the ONLY ones you've read/seen.
There is something besides manga (ONE/Murata) and Anime?
Like, videogames? Toys?
He already has the fan club he deserves. There can be no better.
OPM was a free webcomic by ONE in his spare time.
Murata saw it and really liked it, so he got together with him they began working on the manga i.e. the redraw. ONE does the story, Murata the art.
The original webcomic is still ongoing and is ahead of the manga. Manga and anime have certain arcs which are being added.
All 3 are canon since all three are authored by ONE.
That side shuffling Saitama does is the best.
A shame we won't get the Serious Series iteration this season.
Will we get to see King kick Saitama's ass before the season ends?
>Tfw haven't read the manga yet
>King looks like something out of Fist of the North Star
>Is a huge nerd and gamer and completely useless in a fight
I can't wait to see him, I'm downloading the manga right now.
>meteor is a big chunk of rock thats been ignited by atmosphere already
>genosn thinks using fire on it is a good idea
>sea king is some sort of sea dragon fish man
>genos tries to fire him up too
Someone needs to get genos a pokemon strategy guide
Flamethrower dont do shit to rock/fire or water/dragon pokemons
>sea king is some sort of sea dragon fish man
>genos tries to fire him up too
But that worked? It dried him up immediately and made him weaker. Genos had an immense advantage against Under Sea King in that regard as he could prevent him from getting to full strength.
genos seems to have two settings on his blaster from his fight with saitama
the thing, laser like thing that can melt through steel beams
and the fat fire thing that he does for aoe and cleaning dishes
I've puked through my nose once.
I don't recommend it; the smell stayed around for a week.
I sneezed while eating a burger once and got a piece of burger lodged in my nose for a week. It was as big as a stack of 5 quarters and was really annoying.
Luckily I sneezed again later and it blew out
right in front of my middle school crush
They're finally recognizing my heroic acts.
Because if I did you'd literally pull a Fubuki and filter me out like a butthole.
I didn't even filter Lelouch and I'm going to filter you? No way.
I'm not trying to be rude and say I don't believe you but.
I don't believe you.
He's cold he's bad to the bone and has a wicked sense of humour.
