In retrospect, all of these I have vastly enjoyed. Though I'm not sure if they'll be able to totally nail the style, BONES stuff tends to look pretty distinct, and I wouldn't say BnHA fits per se. Regardless, I'm excited. Any word on season?

I don't remember that at all. I remember a LOT of people clamoring about the FMA series and movie and how ridiculous both were.

I remember people complaining about the baffling ending to DtB, which was disappointing because it was otherwise really good.

I was among those who watched Soul Eater as it aired and was saddened when it took an original direction (I think it was around when Mifune was spared, everything after that sucked).

Generally speaking, I remember BONES having a reputation for good animation and music above all else, but that they were a studio that could never stick the landing. YOU may want to change history, but it's always been like this. And much as I loved E7, it actually had a mixed reception all around because not all of its 50 or so episodes were very good.

From what I remember people liked the TV series ending at its core but hated the "real world" bullshit with the gate. Nobody likes the movie. I just remember Soul Eater getting very little fanfare in general and as it went on there were barely any threads about it up until COURAGE PUNCH ending.

I have never once denied that BONES made bad anime my entire argument is that people reception to BONES changed after Xam'd which it did and people are calling generally good shows that they worked on shit because they can't escape the BONES is bad meme yet they're still waiting for a Darker Than Black sequel of all things. There's nothing BONES has done this year that I would say deserves such disdain every studio has its fuck-ups but its based to associate those fuck-ups to the staff involved and not the studio.

I've been reading through the viz translations of volume 2 and comparing them to the FA translations and I've noticed some big differences.

For instance, when Kurogiri (black mist/ warp guy) comes in to tell Shigaraki that a kid escaped, Shigaraki replies with "If you can't be a proper warp gate, then our plans have crumbled" in the FA version, but in the Viz version he says "I'd turn you to dust if you weren't our ticket out of here."

Just goes to show how interpretative Japanese can be, I guess.

So we know that there will be filler, that goes without saying.

The question is, how would you like the filler to play out?

Personally, I'm hoping that they literally fill in the parts we're missing. There's a very, very heavy focus on Deku's journey up until the tourney, so we could fill in the time with longer views of how the rest of the class performs at the various activities.

Kekkai Sensen's finale was great.

Show by Rock!!'s ending was good. It wasn't ambitious or innovative but it was solid and played it safe, basically the archetype that every story of its kind tends to follow, couldn't be called bad.

Space Dandy's ending was great.

Captain Earth's ending could've been less ambiguous but really the ending was the least of the show's problems.

Noragami's original ending was perfectly fine and a smart way to include some sort of conclusion without blocking the way for a season 2.

E7AO was shit. One point for you.

Un-Go's ending was good.

StarDriver's ending was alright.

Heroman's ending was great unless you count the unnecessary sequel hook at the end.
