He's the Steve Austin of the Dragon Ball universe
Nowhere, this is one of those movies that make no sense in the original timeline. It has to be an alternate universe or some shit where Goku got better way earlier than he did in canon. It's the same situation as with the second Cooler movie.
I wish they'd stop doing these movies. Even more so than the TV series, they completely rely on the action and what actually happened in the movie.
>Goku getting nutpunched so hard Goten is erased from existance
>Vegeta laughing at Trunks for trying to save him even as he's getting rekt
>Quick, someone stupid get behind me!
Who would win
Anyone else notice how when Imperfect Cell crashed Piccolo and Android 17's fight, that if they had just all worked together they could've rekt Cell's shit before he could ever transform?
I'm watching it and Piccolo, Android 17, Android 18, Android 16, AND Tien, are all there together. And they don't think it'd be a good idea to all team up?
>And they don't think it'd be a good idea to all team up?
What, and ruin the plot? You need to remember everybody had to be a stupid selfish asshole for Cell to get where he was.
>I wish they'd stop doing these movies. Even more so than the TV series, they completely rely on the action and what actually happened in the movie.
To be fair, the DBZ movies aren't very big on "plot" or bothering to set shit up, the latter movies even more so guilty of this. After Movie 2-3, it takes up until 10 for the DBZ movies to actually bother building up a setting.
And they did all that just so they could fucking bring Brolly back.
What was the "Boom chika ah, boom chika ah, boom boom boom boom" referencing? I could've sworn I've heard it like, 3 or 4 years ago and laughing my ass off. But I can't remember it for the life of me.
If this was true piccolo would be stronger then all the other SS.
No it just does not fit in the anime or manga timeline so its an alternate universe. The movies are in the own contained universe anyways.
I really don't understand where this movie is chronologically supposed to be
so there are no regular androids and gero got already killed, future trunks is there but goku is alive... when the fuck would they even find the time to go shopping and shit?
King is better though, since he's not a dick that goes out of his way to take credit for stuff, it really is just a series of misunderstandings that got too deep to back out of
>I really don't understand where this movie is chronologically supposed to be
Literally none of the old Toei movies fit in chronologically anywhere. Do you have brain problems to never have noticed that?
Inb4 Bojack and Wrath of the Dragon retards.
You mean World's Strongest? It was literally the first thing they did. Even before the series. And it was a better Goku because they made him a prick instead of nice. Wish TFS stuck with that personality.
Except Hercule is strong for normal human standards.
>since he's not a dick
That guy was going to play video games while a monster who came for him was going on a rampage in the middle of the city and kill people.
King doesn't really have any other choice.
In a fight, Hercule would win.
But King is less of a dick.
What was King to do against that robot? He wants to live, and he knows fighting that robot would be fruitless.
King is a coward.
Hercule is a con.
I think I remember seeing a McDonald's commercial for Super Android 13, was that a thing?
The writer isn't the same though is it?
No black piccolo either.
Krillin, Goku and several other voices were also done better.
Hell, even the lip flap editing was better in the later shorts.
That was pretty meh honestly, only liked the WTS reference (Piccolo laying a beating)
When has DBZ ever NOT relied on action?
Though I agree that the movies are indeed terrible even more so than the main series itself.
Don't worry, at least Bio Broly ensured that we'll never have to suffer through another Broly movie ever again.
Fanservice. That's it. That's literally the whole point of those movies in the first place. Ever wondered why the reuse the EXACT SAME PLOT every time?
>Bad guys show up
>King Kai: Blargh Goku the bad guy has shown up and he is a very bad guy
>Goku and friends go fight them
>Gohan is in trouble but Piccolo arrives in time just to save him
>Vegeta arrives in time too only to instantly job hard
>everyone except Goku is down for the count
>Goku gathers everyone's energy to finish of the bad guy
They put zero effort into the stories (and it's not like we were asking for much to begin with) and have absolutely nothing to do with the main plot (keep in mind I'm talking about the oldschool movies here) they're literally nothing more than mass-produced soulless cash-grabs. The series itself wasn't exactly very good but the movies somehow miss out on the very few strengths the series had.
