>yfw if a bunch of people had the "D" in their name in the past, but they've just abandoned it, because they didn't know what it meant, or if it'd mean anything at all
We bought his soul with Nami cosplays and prozac. It was easy.
I'm not hiding it, this is all there is. Sadly enough.
>Can you draw Sabo/Ace with Ace as the 'pitcher' and Sabo as the 'catcher'
Sly bastard. At least he let us between Ace's legs
>between Ace's legs
Damn, I never realized
this game is ruining my fucking life
>Sabo? This is Hack.
Wow, Oda seriously went and wrote himself into the story just like that?
>Law's family kept it secret, as they knew at least enough to know that it should not be widely known
>Jaguar D. Saul said that everyone in his family have it
I doubt that there are people who would abandon it.
Yes, but then in a story-telling perspective that would've seemed asspulled as FUCK if suddenly Ace was revealed to be fucking Roger's son and Oda was like "Ohp yeah, haha he was actually a D too! There's your only connection now!"
The twist wouldnt have been as satisfying and it really WOULD'VE seemed like it came out of absolutely fucking nowhere. Oda comes up with ridiculous twists sometimes, but there's always something that connects it to the story and makes it seem reasonable (even if he's using things from the past to justify these twists, like ace's tattoo and Sabo's existance). Even fucking Law being a D was foreshadowed in Marineford. If you're expecting some Kubo-tier twists, then sure, Ace didnt have to reveal he was a D until him being Roger's son was revealed at the same time.
Roger's cuffs were too thin to be made of seastone.
What if a dude with the "D" knocks up a woman in a one night stand, he tells her his name and leaves her forever the next day.
She gives the "D" to the baby but knows nothing about it and the baby just ignores it, when he starts his own family.
I miss Valentine.
I can't wait to see her in this new cover story.
>that would've seemed asspulled as FUCK
>The twist wouldnt have been as satisfying
>it really WOULD'VE seemed like it came out of absolutely fucking nowhere
that's a lot of opinion you got there and no actual facts. Rouge being a D. still changes nothing
this is my last post on the subject, all other posts will be hidden.
Have a good day anon
not like it matters since Roger was never going to try and break them
and if you're trying to get at that Roger didnt have a DF, who knows? but im pretty sure the 'amount' doesnt matter. Seastone is Seastone
what can you expect from this guy?
What kind of mother would name her child "Crocodile"?
Fucking genius. Fits with him not having a first name too.
Character design trick. It's easier to make well rounded and well designed characters when you base them upon animals or give them a defining theme. And we all know Oda loves animals.
Monkey D. Luffy
Monkey D. Dragon
Monkey D. Garp
>Similar to the previous race, sections of the race course will be decorated to resemble the world of One Piece.
That'd be kind of cool actually.
dance powder, as well as the obvious.
"jokes on you i was just pretending" is a terrible excuse for failing to catch even one single pirate. Couldn't stop the birdcage, couldn't beat Law on his own, couldn't stop Luffy from running away, couldn't beat Sabo, or stop any of the Straw Hat fleet pirates.
He even got punked by random Doflamingo goons in his very first appearance. He's a blind old bitch.
he could have saved everyone by killing doflamingo and then covering it up by saying the pirates did it.
but no lets have the marines run around the island like morons while doflamingo tries to kill everyone on the island.
oh hey lets waste tie by fighting this revolutioary army guy who has nothinng to do with doflamingo.
hey lets have the pirates make the marines look like total incompetents like alabasta again.
>Roger never tried to escape because he "respawns" at the One Piece
>Roger never died
>The One Piece is Roger himself holding all the knowledge of the Void and the seas, and new frontiers that Luffy can travel into
calling it now
That's a good point. All that secretiveness wasn't put to the best use. An all-out civil war was kinda unnecessary, he would have been much better off only operating in the shadows withouth any war, just causing acts of terror. With strong people like those he could have pulled it off, if Luffy wasn't around.
Oh, who am I kidding, he would have pulled it off even if he revealed himself, if Luffy wasn't around. The WG wouldn't have cared.
Goddamn Luffy, going around ruining everything nice.
That one fan in the SBS had the big explanation as to why he thought Oda used a tiger and a bull in his Admiral naming scheme, and essentially said that they were antagonists in the original story the names are based on. Oda more or less confirmed that was the case, so I'm assuming Fujitora and the other guy are going to be opposed to the Marines' values under Sakazuki, and work to take things down like Fujitora basically starting the process of abolishing the Shichibukai.
Her heart is as light as thin air.
Well, it wasn't really with the World Government's consent in full. Doflamingo framed Riku and made it look like he went nuts. Doffy also had a claim to the throne, being that his family owned the island back in the day, so he wasn't just coming out of nowhere.
Crocodile was a complete outsider, he couldn't just waltz in and say "Hey, Cobra's a shitty king, how's about you let me run things?" no matter how good his PR was.
Man, why does Shanks look like he just got back from the dentist?
>Akainu chose the new admirals because they have different views of justice to his own and he needs more dissenting voices since Kuzan left
>he doesn't seem to like the Gorosei or Tenryubito
Akainu is literally the hero the One Piece world needed and best Fleet Admiral, if he didn't kill Ace then practically nobody would have a problem with him (even that wasn't necessarily bad since it forced Luffy and the crew to train for 2 years).
And yet people unironically refer to him as a villain.
He DID frame Cobra. But yeah, it's just one of those things, no matter how beloved he was, he was still just some outsider.
Doflamingo's family used to own Dressrosa, and he's ex Tenryuubito, otherwise there's no way the WG would have okayed him just coming in and taking over a country.
Is this Kuzan guy admiral level? He looks pretty strong.
Honestly, Hannyabal's speech in Impel Down puts a lot of things into perspective.
People forget that the world of One Piece is basically swarming with terrorists and pirate crews all over the place, many of which can wipe out an island on their own.
Akainu came off as pretty extreme, and maybe nuking a marine who was trying to run home to his family was going overboard, but the idea of "We have about fifty fucking pirate crews here, we can't just let them leave" isn't all that extreme in hindsight.
I know that most of the pirates gathered there were pretty happy go lucky or whatever, but think from the viewpoint of someone being told to just let five thousand pirates leave and go back to pirating.
there are no villians in one piece.
I know he did frame Cobra, but he could have pulled the same thing as Doffy, making a lot bigger chaos and blame everything on him. He only framed Cobra for being an asshole, but he could have framed him for being a genocidal asshole. Well, if Bon-chan could have kept his acting straight that is.
Also, Doffy was an outcast from MJ, I don't remember anything that confirmed that his heritage helped him out, and it just shouldn't be. The WG should just cover the ass of their lapdogs, no matter how evil they are. That'd make more sense.
Having a claim to the throne means everything. It's like Kyros with Scarlet, no matter how much people liked him, he wasn't royalty so him getting with Scarlet was out of the question.
No matter how much they liked Crocodile, he couldn't just step in and become the king without some kind of claim, like Doffy.
why are you guys such shitty posters recently.
saul said that everybody in his family had "d" in their names. this is the case with every d family we've seen so far (monkey, portgaz, trafalgar) and i wouldn't be surprised if the marshall family is the same.
obviously there's a reason why only ds are eloping with each other that will eventually get explained. ace keeping 'd' in his name also obviously has to do with his mom otherwise he'd just be portgaz ace like law was trafalgar law.
He could have done that without losing all his fights and generally being pathetic. Like someone pointed out earlier, Fujitora could absolutely have just killed Doflamingo and said publicly that pirates did it, but he decided to just lose over and over... probably because he is shittier than the other Admirals, and not on their level at all.
>How it will all end.
>Crew find Devil fruit tree
>Shit goes crazy
>Red Line disappears
>Everything is now connected creating all blue
>Luffy gets sent back in time and becomes Gol.d.roger
>Crew find a Poneglyph with a chest next to it.
>Nico Robin reads it to the crew and it says that they were the one piece all along and that Roger lead them here,it ends with:your eternal Nakama Monkey.D,Luffy
>Inside the chest they find the straw hat.
>Everyone start crying
Friendly reminder Fujitora killed the dinosaurs.
Fujitora owned Luffy. Look how Luffy is flying through the air. He got BTFO
Any of the Admirals could have taken that many hits. Doflamingo took way more than that and he's not top tier material.
Fujitora is a scrub, and Luffy could have dropped his blind bitch ass but Luffy doesn't go after weaklings.
>they included Lucy's votes in Luffy's count
>no way of knowing whether the readers meant Luffy or Sabo
>alter egos like Sogeking held separate places in the previous poll
>yfw they had to give all the Lucy votes to Luffy or else Law would've won
Dalton wasn't an outsider, he was one of the highest ranked people in the country. I did forget, was he just a soldier or did he have some bullshit title like Chess and Kuromarimo?
Drum Kingdom was a fucking bumpkin village compared to Alabasta or Dressrosa, too. Like... how many people do you think lived there? Honestly, it seemed like maybe one to two thousand at best.
>Sabo was barely Lucy
>Luffy was called Lucy throughout the arc
Taking into account all the newer/young readers who might have thought Luffy's name was Lucy I think at the very least most of the Lucy votes were for Luffy.
Don't forget that Fujitora probably just got his shit pushed in by Jack.
He's riding with Sengoku, the other eternal Marine jobber of the series. Tsuru's the only one who's properly been hyped on that ship, Jack's going to tear them up.
Poll was a year before she even showed up.
Don't worry though, I'm sure next poll she'll really... jump up the ranks.
this delusion is unreal
I agree dressrosa made him look like a fucking idiot who couldn't do anything and let the SH's do all the work but we still don't know about the last admiral so he might be worse than Fujitora.
>Bigger population makes countries more important
Where were you when Bellamy was confirmed to be the next nakama?
>Memes aside, Fujitora's showing wasn't really impressive and he now looks much weaker that any other admirals (former or current).
Nope, still like him.
All his intro did is establish respect for Luffy.
The marines just don't get a win unless noble pirates are involved,
Must feel embarrassing to get dominated by your 16 year old superior.
dont be silly
he's just admiring Marco's fucking immaculate stubble
>Roger tells Luffy that there are currents in space that connect planets
>the ancient kingdom that battled against what would be the World Government originated from a far away planet
>Vegapunk helps the Straw Hats upgrade the Sunny to be capable of sailing space
>the first "planet" they visit is the moon and Enel joins them
But nobody asked me whether my parents found out about my gay folder today.
Thanks man, I was scared for a moment there.
I dont think you're Socio-kun
I think you're the one from AP Forums or something. Socio-kun replies endlessly to any post that triggers him
Considering you aren't 404ing the thread, I doubt that one is you
>I dont think you're Socio-kun
That's, not, what I meant...
Oh I get it, you're Socio kun, and this was bait. I see, that was very smart of you.
it never ends
I actually wouldn't mind if the "ending" was a ruse and it just kept going, but I don't think Odas health could take it.
>mfw colored chapters aren't working on Bato.to anymore either
At the very least they're fucking in the alternative universe inside my head where single marine parents in One Piece don't die and get to start a family in Marineford's town.
>That's, not, what I meant...
>But nobody asked me whether my parents found out about my gay folder today.
then what the hell are you talking about?
I did. For some reason a big chunk of the chapters are missing. Specifically the Skypiea arc which is where I'm at now.
Really, Sakazuki, you are this butthurt that you must samefag on board for pirates?
seems fine to me
were you saying that you hadnt asked yourself about your gay folder yet?
Everyone do your best to appreciate Weevil today!
I was merely saying that had he been here today, I would have noticed.
Nah, he's gross, so have a Doflamingo instead.
>Weeble's mother found Whitebeard's grave and dug him up
>removed his rotting, bloated head and stitched it in place of her son's head
>the part on the left is the bisection where Akainu blew Newgate's face off
I'm triggered holy shit
oh I see. I've been awake perhaps a few hours too long. That should have made sense to me from the start
Just seeing the path of destruction he left behind is enough to understand how fucking strong the guy is. He solos New World pirate crews that were allied with Whitebeard and walks away unscathed and complete ruin behind him
>Compared to Whitebeard's strength in his youth
>Displays that that comparison isn't a lie
>Has potential for being a future ally since he wants to tear Blackbeard apart for killing his 'father'
>Is a simple minded powerhouse being manipulated by his money grubbing mother
He's got tons of plot potential
Admittedly, he's designed like it. Most likely intentionally so. I do think Oda has plans for him, the guy is strong, and he got a spectacular introduction scene, that alone means something.
Was Oda just trying to fill up the seats, he would have chosen Foxy or some other pirate we already know and reveal his nomination back during the marine meeting after Punk Hazard.
Everyone remember to do your best to appreciate Penguin today!
I dont think there's a cuter crew in all of One Piece
They're kinda weak but these guys are very calming, i love them.
They still have their personality.
I was thinking in critical situations, like when they're gonna die or something, eyes are one of the most important ways of showing strong expressions.
>implying that wouldn't be cute
Yes that's true
>implying we'll ever see them
Doffy's crew wasn't loyal to him, in the end.
Law's crew waited exactly where he told them to, and they can't wait to see him.
>Doffy's crew wasn't loyal to him, in the end
I miss them already.
Will Oda forget about the rest of them save for Doffy? ;_;
Thats retarded, he looks absolutely nothing like whitebeard, and oda draws all thin scars that way. Plus, depending on how canon former-admiral Zypher is, he's been active and admiral-level for the past 18 years
Even with these three (and I'm making the hypothesis Law was part of the crew, which he wasn't), that makes but 25% of the crew.
But most importantly
>Senor Pink let Franky win
He didn't, they fought fairly with a set of rules they agreed on beforehand, and he lost, because he was an honorable man who wanted to beat Franky without exploiting a weakness of his. Maybe you call that letting him win, but Señor remained loyal to Doflamingo till the end. Hell he even mentally apologized before passing out.
Im from Serbia (southern Europe, former Yugoslavia), and we have 'Buk[Vuk]' wich means 'wolf' as a first name.
And one of our famous poets is straigt up named 'dragon' - Jovan Jovanović Zmaj (Serbian Cyrillic: Јован Јовановић Змај)
>weeks after doflamingo was taken down, vergo eventually manages to piece himself back together and sail back to Dressrosa
I wonder how much of it will be a retread of the past "Decks of the World" cover story. Probably just one cover per island instead of one for every character, and then the big names we haven't seen yet
Could be, but most bad guys are either irrelevant (BW, the forgotten East Blue villains, the forgotten Drum and Skypeia underlings) or maybe too important to be revealed in a cover page (Enel, Croc, the rest of Cp9, Big Mom, Blackbeard, Green Bull).
Whatever it is I'm really excited. During the first Decks of the World I had just marathoned through most of the series and didn't truly appreciate seeing the old characters again at all. Now I'm hype for anyone
Best pairing! Incredible chemistry in the manga and great doujins!
So, if you could describe each shichi with a board, what would it be?
I was about to answer (while calling you a faggot but still) and then
>pls and ty
I decided against it.
Can we all agree that devil fruits are man made?
Nature can't make cannon and shit.
The best I heard about devil's fruits is that they were the souls of the trees that Noland chopped down. Probably not it, but I like the idea, especially since their power goes into a new fruit after the holder dies.
the devil made them, and the devil controls their powers. i imagine he keeps up with the times and maintains consistency in their usage.
i also like to imagine the devil purposefully puts certain fruits in front of those he know will use them, it's rare you see someone neglecting their fruit.
I can see it now
>Bellamy gets captured as a known accomplice to the Straw Hats (maybe by Lucci in CP0)
>tortured, lies about it being Luffy's vivre card
>they know he's full of shit, track down luffy
>Bellamy has failed his senpai again
>third part of his character arc is to finally make himself worthy to someone, rescue, sacrifice etc.
>that fucking mountain bear-rabbit is still somehow popular with the fanbase
I don't get it. Its even in the new game and everything. Why are people seemingly demanding a character that was one of the most forgettable ones in the Drum island arc? I even remember the weird bison-Zoan guy more fondly that that piece of shit
>I even remember the weird bison-Zoan guy more fondly that that piece of shit
Why wouldn't you? He was a significant character with a name and backstory, and now the king of the country. Lapins are just animals
i don't care, because the most impactful death already happenend.
It's not an unusual sight nowadays in races and marathons.
The real question is why is he wearing patterned leggings which is like the gayest fucking thing anyone can wear on their legs.
I can't tell exactly what I hate about it. Maybe it's that the coloring is always awful and they make the anatomy so bad? The guys' abs look disturbing.
I wonder if it's because they have to make it in vectors?
Luffy and Roger don't even have the same features, they don't look alike at all. They simply have the same personality traits. How the fuck are they the SAME person?
Even the smile isn't the same, that's Ace's smile.
okay, so Law is dead.
whose shadow would compliment his dead body the most?
Not him but it's clear you're a speedreader. Re-read the meeting between him and Doffy and you clearly see him state his goals then and it's clear what his true motives are. And before you ask no I won't tell you what it is there will be no spoon feeding here.
already has been hinted at else where.
Unless you mean Sakura Kingdom/Drum kingdom having another story arc?
Holy christ could you be anymore of a speedreader.
a) That really worked in Alabasta didn't it? Oh wait it didn't because everything got covered up.
b) Failing to do his job made his apology to King Riku and Dressrosa more believable and able to be broadcasted before the government or Akainu could cover it up.
I hope it Green Bull isn't a zoan. We're in the middle of an arc with a bunch of animal people, and about to start another arc with an army of zoans.
Unless it's something really crazy like Sengoku or Marco, that might be okay.
>They simply have the same personality traits
they don't. Similar maybe but not the same. Hell, we don't even know that much about Roger personality jet, but Luffy wouldn't destroy an island just because they talked shit about his nakama. He seems to be more neutral than Luffy. Maybe Roger is like the fine line between him and Blackbeard
No I've moved past the bias, a lot of things from pre-timeskip are still there. The only real problem was the initial flanderisation but some of the Strawhats are becoming actual characters again.
Moria would rather have Whitebeard than Ace, Ace wasn't really a monster without his fruit. There's no reason for him to go after a subpar zombie that would also piss off the guy who kicked his ass once already.
>Luffy knows what its like to be alone so he wont make annoying jackass bun live through it
The symbol they're talking about is Hiluluk's flag.
>That this country would adopt the most unusual flag for a national symbol is a story for later
I meant the story about them having Hiluluk's jolly roger as a country flag, especially since pic related seems to say a Jolly Roger= you are a pirate no questions asked.
I think Drum kingdom's gonna have another arc at Reverie like >>133074151 says.
also zoro. but zoro is the one with the pants
>In real life
actually in real life, Law is a very good-looking dude
>There’s also other characters’ world view or unrevealed character settings that pop up in the dialogue here and there, but being able to ask unrevealed stories like that, well, that’s one of the fun parts of being his editor.”
I really hope Oda releases some One Piece encyclopedia thing after he finishes the series about all his characters and their little back/side stories. It's kind of frustrating knowing nigga has them in his head but we'll just never get to see them.
>Law will never look at you like that.
A cat is fine, too.
One Piece is one of the few series I can think of where most characters could have a short story about them and I'd read it.
Most of the pirates introduced, I'd be happy to read about how they got their bounties. Most of the Marines, I'd love to see how they got promoted. There's a lot of potential on the sidelines, pretty much endless.
I don't care, it spent enough time with best boy, so I'm happy.
What's good about drawing Steven Tyler? Oda's not even the first one to base character on him.
>Bellamy becomes doffy 2.0 in the extra issues after one piece is over
>luffy has to punch him one last time in the face
That won't happen. Bellamy is a good boy now.
im still salty bellamy didnt join the crew. i hope he comes back at some point and has a relatively major role, hes obviously going to come back but i hope its not just as a helper character for the final war
As we shouldn't. Even the /mlp/ board is more justified. At least the furfags got the message whenever we bullied them and they understood that they weren't welcome here, and they've kindly left. The bronies were too autistic to comprehend that and they needed to be contained. Creating new boards always happens out of necessity, and there isn't a big demand for a /fur/ board right now.
The handful that do come here are just fine in /b/ and /d/.
I just realized that Sakazuki wears a white suit now. Combined with that dress shirt, I think he kind of resembles a disco dancer now.
Nah, you can see them seperate here.
Why didn't he go super saiyan?
I mean, Sengoku managed to keep his hair jet black while in the force but it all went gray after 2 years of inspection so, you know.
Doflamingo was wary of Fujitora even with his entire crew while Jack is ready to battle him and Sengoku.
For sure he packs a punch, don't know if he is aware of his limitations though.
>lived his life believing himself to be some unholy monster that everyone would be afraid of
>in the actual world people just perceive him as a cute pet who loves cotton candy
That's the irony of his poster.
>Wait a fucking minute, haven't I seen this kid before ?
>Why the fuck do three of them have black limbs ?
>Well, at least I only have to worry about that rubber monk-
>There was a whole big theme during Thriller Bark about how Brook could still live for so long even as a skeleton, knowing he would be hated and treated like a monster for being a living skeleton
>He ends up being a world famous rockstar with thousands of devoted fans
Imagine all the panties he saw
Nah, if Enel ever does come back, Oda will have leveled him up considerably in terms of knowledge of the world. That was the major reason he lost, cause he had no idea there existed something that could stand against lightning. Once he learns more about the ocean and the kinds of threats on it he would be far more deadly as an enemy.
he still cant see the sexiest ones of them all, nami and robin.
I dunno, weve never seen Robin reject his advances, since Nami always barges in to follow up on the manzai routine. For all we know, if Nami wasn't around, Robin would either ignore him, or show him her panties.
Robin would show them, she's loose and aloof. Look at her fucking thong.
I was talking about the scenario where they find Enel on the moon. He would have blitzed everyone there that he wouldn't learn CoA. And he knows Rubber is from a DF so the chances of running in to Luffy on the moon is reaaaally slim.
>I dunno, weve never seen Robin reject his advances
Not in the story but I remember in the laundry color spread Oda drew Robin giving Brook a disapproving look when he showed interest in the female laundry basket.
shes protecting nami. nami is still pure and beautiful
I have a picture somewhere of Robin yanking on Law's earring for bullying Chopper
Can't find it though
