Movie and season 2 confirmed
What does /a/ think will happen? Are they going to continue the Kumiko x Reina relationship or stay closer to the novels?
If it's any different it'll probably just be a more open end.
I don't care either way.
I don't need to self insert to want to fuck Asuka senpai.
I self-insert as a Minister who marries two cute girls together in a friendly churchi which allows gay marriage.
I'm also the best man so I can put my public speaking skills to work in making an memorably bad best man speech.
It's a recap so they just need to spend some time in the editing room putting scenes together
>mfw they edit all of Shu1's scenes out
I honestly thought they'd wait for Yamada to be entirely free, air this movie in 2016, S2 2017. But I guess she'll either be juggling this show with KnK or just be out of Eupho S2 entirely.
S1 aired in real time from the start of school in April to prefecturals at the end of June. S2 will probably pick up in July and finish with nationals in November if it's two cour. Or they'll just throw that all away and go with fall.
I want the entire movie to be from his PoV like how Chuunibyou recap movie was season 1 from Rikka's PoV.
90 minutes of Shuuichi trying to approach Kumiko and getting geh'd.
>Season 2 and a movie
>This shitty boring show
Life is unfair.
I already knew the news, but that video was pretty hype.
>Kumiko is Reina and Reina is Kumiko
>Midori meanwhile being the most beautiful person in the world.
>Kumiko snaps out of it, blushes heavily and does the classic "uwahhh!"
>looks down at her phone to check who it is
>from the right side of the screen Reina's hand grabs her cheek
>forces Kumiko to look directly at her with a super serious face
>goes in for the kiss with the phone still ringing
Not even a yurifag but damn this would make me the happiest man alive.
I already lost my motivation to git gud at trumpet again, I need this.
>but they add a few scenes with Shuichii and Reina together instead to build up for the het relationship between them in season 2
This is terrible.
Kumiko is obviously the JD in their relationship.
Kumiko is by far the more clingy one.
Reina is just socially retarded for being a friendless dweeb for 15 years and doesn't know what's socially appropriate behavior and what isn't.
I would prefer Reina alone. She's goddamn hot.
>Not into Yuri
HEY! I have a question about this anime. I have been thinking about watching it because it looks beautiful and it is about music and I love music, but there is one thing (and you all are going to think I am ridiculous for this) that bugs me about another musical anime I tried to watch.
In La Cordo D'Oro: Primo Passo, there was no percussion. The more I watched, the more I thought, this is a music school, they HAVE to have percussion. It's an entire like...thing. Being a percussionist myself, this is important to me. Idiophones and membranophones are considered to be the oldest type of instrument. (Think African tribes and stuff).
La Cordo D'Oro Spoilers ahead.
So anyway, I got like, 7 5 episodes in, and I still haven't seen any drums or anything. And at the end of that episode, I just snapped. The suspension of disbelief is too much. I can deal with a little shota fairy. I can deal with a magical violin given to a girl and it enables her to play magically. I can even deal with a music school that just so happens to have non-music people going to it. But I DRAW THE FRIGGIN' LINE at there being a music school without PERCUSSION.
So my question is, does "Hibike! Euphonium have percussion in it? I don't care if there are no characters that play percussion instruments, I don't even care of none of them have names. But they HAVE to be there. They have to be there. Or I just can't believe it.
If it were simply a brass band or a string quartet or something, that would make sense. But not an entire freakin' school.
Yes, led by based knuckles himself.
Is there any evidence that it's a second season and not two movies apart from some shitty unreliable news sites claiming so? Tamako Love Story was announced as an ambiguous "sequel work" too.
>Takeda: (laughs) In almost every work, not just novels, there’s so many that put romance above fellowship, aren’t there? I wasn’t satisfied with that, so I wrote this work thinking of making fellowship above romance. It’s just as Yamada-san says, Reina is a bit sensual from Kumiko’s point of view. It’s something characteristic that a girl would sense and describe. If a man were writing it, wouldn’t it be more like a lusty wolf coming out? (laughs)
Hopefully, Takeda will make Reina and Kumiko fellowship transcend into romance.
I'm really curious if Takeda really did intend to do this regarding Kumiko and Reina when the novels themselves aren't as gay as the series. To be honest it seemed more like shoujo shit with yuri-undertones on the side (ribbons, natsuki, mizore etc...)
considering one of the people who worked on season 1 is not returning to season 2 and that other guy is a massive yurifag you won't have to worry about shuuichi. He doesn't even have any more moments like the final episode until the confession.
the main conflict of the second novel is around Mizore
Let's be fair, at how the current Kyoani operates, I wouldn't be surprised if Shuichi gets a open ended homo end with one of the bandboys while Kumiko and Reina has a open ended homo end too. Milk the most out of their fanbase.
Kumiko doesn't do shit. she's a spectator and for some dumbass reason random people always come up to her and start spilling their life stories then she says something horrible to them and they run off in tears.
I know Kumiko is a horrible person putting on a good girl act but just once I'd rather her be upfront and tell people to shut up and go bother someone else.
She told her sister to fuck off and they've never spoken to each other again so why can't she take that attitude with people who annoy her? Social life? If you don't like somebody why the hell would you want more people like that buzzing around you?
She's not the MC, she's the second MC. MC is still Kumiko, but she'll take most of Reina's spotlight along with the other second years and Asuka.
Also Asuka is actually the second protag of the novels.
Her father wrote Hibike! Euphonium
Its the whole point of the novels. Kumiko is Asuka's Protege and they actually become good friends. Asuka and Kumiko are pretty similar to each other as well. Kumiko and Asuka are linked to each other. Just like Kumiko and Reina. Not as strongly as the later but they are connected.
>Movie and season 2 confirmed
I swear to god if they don't kiss this time
It's a special piece of sheet music Asuka's father left for her to play after her horrid mother prevented him from ever seeing her. Asuka passes it along to Kumiko when she graduates.
That and Asuka's father was the one that made Kumiko fall in love with the euphonium when she was a kid. Both Kumiko and Asuka have a book called My Euphonium which was written by Asuka's father.
none of the percussionists are main characters but pay attention to this girl with a red ribbon on her and you will be a very happy percussionist
It won't happen, but I'd just like to see them try to pull the "friends interrupt at the last second" shit on Reina. Hazuki and Midori would burst into the music room and startle Kumiko into a panic, and she'd just finish the kiss while watching their reaction from the corner of her eye.
>Shoe and Kumiko get married
>Kumiko and Reina just have an extremely close near-romantic girl love
I'm fine with this.
>some dumbass reason random people always come up to her and start spilling their life stories then she says something horrible to them and they run off in tears.
Kumiko is really a variation of a female KyoAni snarky male lead
Nust like how Madoka despises Homura (canon) and Homura hates Madoka's person (very obvious), Reina and Kumiko are not gay in the slightest. Seeing /u/ degenerates fawn over them is amazing seeing as how I and every other gent knows you will be crushed by the D.
Yuri is never real.
But she's fluffier, ergo she's better.
