HEY! I have a question about this anime. I have been thinking about watching it because it looks beautiful and it is about music and I love music, but there is one thing (and you all are going to think I am ridiculous for this) that bugs me about another musical anime I tried to watch.

In La Cordo D'Oro: Primo Passo, there was no percussion. The more I watched, the more I thought, this is a music school, they HAVE to have percussion. It's an entire like...thing. Being a percussionist myself, this is important to me. Idiophones and membranophones are considered to be the oldest type of instrument. (Think African tribes and stuff).

So anyway, I got like, 7 5 episodes in, and I still haven't seen any drums or anything. And at the end of that episode, I just snapped. The suspension of disbelief is too much. I can deal with a little shota fairy. I can deal with a magical violin given to a girl and it enables her to play magically. I can even deal with a music school that just so happens to have non-music people going to it. But I DRAW THE FRIGGIN' LINE at there being a music school without PERCUSSION.

So my question is, does "Hibike! Euphonium have percussion in it? I don't care if there are no characters that play percussion instruments, I don't even care of none of them have names. But they HAVE to be there. They have to be there. Or I just can't believe it.

If it were simply a brass band or a string quartet or something, that would make sense. But not an entire freakin' school.
