Ah whatever, just post DIO and The World
We don't care, post DIO
If you're going to announce your shit taste at least give a reason why
catch the rainbow is probably the only stand nobody hates dude
what a boring reply
It never gets talked about, just like this one.
Could Homura beat The World Over Heaven?
So how about this:
>Sbrverse is the base world bc mug corpse parts
>D4C confirms other worlds
What I'm saying is that Sbrverse is the original. Everything else is actually the alternate reality.
Prove me wrong
It can possess a car and turn it into a supercar. It also gives an extremely fine degree of control over all parts of the car, letting the user warp and stretch its shape, or spew flammable gas vapours.
The Emperor was my favourite stand in part 3. Having something as simple as a gun for your stand is really endearing to me for some reason.
I'll stop when I get an answer.
Man, where does Araki get these crazy stand names? Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap? Red Hot Chili Peppers? Those are pretty out there.
Then of course you have Robert E. O. Speedwagon. Ignoring Speedwagon, can you think of any person with two middle names?
I'd probably like Shy High if half the fucking arc wasn't spent explaining what a rod was, what they do, and how the organ damage effects the victims. And if the counter to Sky High wasn't as mundane as lighting yourself on fire. And if he didn't manage to get himself killed by covering up Jolyne's weakpoint for her.
Can you elaborate further?
>if half the fucking arc wasn't spent explaining what a rod was, what they do, and how the organ damage effects the victims
did you start reading jojo with part 6
araki loves doing that
He died? I always thought he survived, damn.
Anyone else always listen to the bands he references while reading that specific part?
Which music fit best? I personally think Killer Queen, Another One Bites the Dust and Epitaph were perfect.
Check the pastebin, these albums from Nico are great
It's a fucking telephone communications tower that is immortal.
When Pucci sped up time to get to the end of the universe, Superfly was still there.
Not to mention its user is literally Anon.
It's also awesomely good in Diavolo no Daibouken.
Because babies cried about there not being 5 Dios in ASB.
There were people in these threads legit saying that they wanted Diego/Scary Monster AND Diego/The World.
Well, they go their wish, I guess.
I just wanted them as separate characters because I wanted Scary Monsters Diego to be as unique as possible, without needing The World as his Ultimate hindering the rest of his moveset. Besides, it's a pretty different character that's important to the part.
Now, the original DIO was totally uncalled for.
Diego also has a horse, and his moves are probably completely different. They are probably more different than both Jotaros or both Kiras are. I think they were necessary because both were different very important characters in SBR, without which you can't capture its essence completely.
>Diego also has a horse
Implying Dio/The World didn't?
>probably completely different
Probably is not a word you use when trying to convince others.
I understand what you're saying, but I'd take ANY other SBR rep over clone Diegos.
C-Moon was so OP that they couldn't even beat it before it turned to MiH.
Of course DIO didn't, that's what I mean, the horse makes his moveset different.
I said probably because you can't say anything for sure yet. But the thing is, it's much more probably that he'll have his own moveset than being just a clone because he has a horse. We can't say for sure yet because of course we don't know if he'll be a 1:1 clone when not on Silver Bullet, but that'd be completely retarded, so yeah, probably not a clone. I'd still want another character, but it doesn't mean we don't need him, that'd be like wanting Nukesaku instead of DIO because he already has his Part 1 version and you like Nukesaku.
>won the race
>got Jesus' corpse
He is important, even if Funny is more important than him.
He shows up a little bit before Kakyoin dies but after Avdol and Iggy die.
I wish Part 7 got to actually have a 'Squad' at some point. Not for the majority of the Part, but I wish towards the end Johnny, Gyro, Hot Pants, and Diego actually stuck together for a little while when the train nonsense was going down. The Diego+Hot Pants teamplay was really cool, and I would've liked to see what other cool team stuff could've happened with those four.
That's a damn shame, part 1 and 2 were great, guess I'll skim the wiki and watch some of the fights, I really dislike episodic shows.
If I cared about spoilers I wouldn't enter a long running series thread.
>won the race
Gyro was dead and Johnny never even cared about winning the race to begin with. Also Diego died anyway, meaning he might as well not even been in the race.
Once again, it doesn't matter his fight came last. SBR tacked on a minor character fight after its big climactic battle with its main antagonist.
Johnny lived and he didn't so it doesn't matter.
>got Jesus' corpse
That he did.
So the only real relevant thing he did was makinge sure no character ended up with the corpse at the end. That was his only purpose other than the fanservice.
He has become the Voice of God.
No, I actually agree. Diego Brando 2 definitely reads like a Post-game Bonus Boss. Right down to being kind of pander-y showing up with The World.
Dio came back from the sea and in his naivety of the world he found himself in he started to believe new age shit and took up drinking silver.
What's your argument here? Why does telling someone to play JRPGs, implying that the final boss doesn't need to be tha main antagonist, mean that I haven't played enough games? Please enlighten me.
My argument was that, in most games that aren't JRPGs(and in some of those as well), the final boss doesn't come up out of nowhere and suddenly overshadows the antagonist that was there for the whole story.
What were those high stakes? He put the corpse away like he wanted to and everyone just went on with their merry lives. He also tried to kill main characters but lots of enemies do that.
As for importance to the plot, see >>132371106.
Of course, that's why I said 'doesn't have to be' instead of 'is always'. A post-game boss would be something after SBR, like a flashback in Jojolion or a sidestory. The Diego fight was still part of SBR, and the plot hadn't ended, so even if Diego wasn't the main antagonist, he is the final boss.
Is there a character that can kill Dio Brando? And I'm not talking about Phantom Blood Dio Brando with vampiric abilities attained from donning the Stone Mask, including sucking blood to regain lost health, Vaporizing Freeze, Space Ripper Stingy Eyes, heightened senses and superhuman strength, and even the ability to turn people into zombies. No, I'm not talking about Stardust Crusaders DIO (Brando), after stealing Jonathan Joestar's body from the neck down and being pierced by the Stand Arrow, wielding both Jonathan's Hermit Purple and his very own The Word, granting him the power to stop time for 5 whole seconds, Stand Rush and punch holes into people's stomachs, armed with infinite knives and a roadroller to drop on his enemies during said stopped time, and also featuring a few of his vampiric powers from Phantom Blood, including heightened senses, superhuman strength, the ability to create zombies and more vampires, and planting flesh buds on people to make them do their bidding, with a special affinity for Joestar blood for having stolen Jonathan's body which increases his strength in every way progressively as soon as he sucks Joseph's blood. Hell, I'm not even talking about Dio Brando's counterpart from the Steel Ball Run's universe, Diego "DIO" Brando, wielding the Stand Scary Monsters that grants him the ability to turn himself and others into dinosaurs, heightening his senses and strenght and making other people do his bidding as dinosaurs. I'm talking about Eyes of Heaven original Ultimate Heaven DIO (Brando) with 「The World Over Heaven」after fusing with Enrico Pucci, the Green Baby, Diego Brando and the Holy Corpse Parts while reaching Heaven and donning the Stone Mask with the Super Aja, gaining the powers of the World Over Heaven, Made In Heaven, , D4C Love Train and Scary Monsters, granting him absolute mastery over time, space, life, dinosaurs and the multiverse with both Hamon and Spin powers and enhancements from German science
There were high stakes, the race and the corpse. Now, those things were solved easily, but that doesn't mean they aren't important, especially considering how they are everything the part revolves around.
The race is still the focus of the story, and Johnny wanted to win it in the end. Whatever happened after the race means nothing in whether it's important or not.
No, he wasn't the main antagonist, but he's the most important villain after Valentine.
Johnny living is of no importance, he was utterly defeated.
Whatever happened after the fact doesn't diminish the importance of what happened before. Otherwise, Gyro just lost his time in the race, and died in vain, seeing how the kid died.
>Not on the level that part 3 is.
Part 4 is just as episodic if not more because of the SoL nature.
Part 5 is the same
Part 6 gets less episodic by the end, and the last few arcs are all important
Same for Part 7
Part 8 is just as episodic as Part 4, but each fight has more importance to the plot.
Now, if you mean more battles being of importance to the plot in future parts I agree, but the episodic nature stays the same.
Well, I've already stated my points and you're responding by repeating yourself so we clearly aren't getting anywhere here.
Still, I do wonder why you think Johnny being defeated is so important when it didn't stick. Lots of very minor villains defeat either Johnny or Gyro, only to end up dying themselves.
Is there going to be a CE of EoH when it comes out? I really liked the stuff that came with ASB's CE.
The minor villains who defeat them end up being defeated and killed. Diego defeated Johnny and didn't get beaten, he just died because of Lucy, with nobody winning, just like Part 6. If it had been Johnny who killed Diego, the story would be different.
The water boiling stand, I'm the only one who likes it because I'm the only one who remembers it.
>Diego defeated Johnny and didn't get beaten, he just died because of Lucy
He got killed by Lucy.
So far none beyond the limited edition PS4's
Though I should those ASB copies with the Giorno plate at some point.
The point is that Johnny couldn't beat him. He stayed on top, and was defeated by another character in an unfair way. Stopping Johnny from achieving his goal, and not letting him get his revenge is what makes him important.
I am the only one who likes this stand and this girl
You're just paying too much attention to chapter names.
Part 3 is capped off by it's final fight and that's what makes it really episodic.
4+5+6+7 all have interacting and arcs with the main antagonist that change parts of the story. They're constantly interacting with the 'final boss'. Part 3 is literally a great big round the world adventure to fight the final boss.
They aren't changing any of the seiyuu, are they? I really want the part 4 cast to stay the same, and hopefully carry over to the anime.
Shut up it's going to happen.
Episodic means that the story is divided into small segments that are connected by the plot, but only thinly. In every part, the villain of the week is only important for his fight, and is related to the story just in that he's working for the main villain (if even that). The fights are clearly separated.
Interaction with the main antagonist throughout the part doesn't make it less episodic. Think about GitS:SAC, there are SA episodes, and Complex episodes that advance the main story, which are distributed among the SA ones. It's still episodic, but advances the story inbetween the small stories. Cowboy Bebop does the same, with some episodes being related to the main plot, but most of them are just self contained stories.
Having an episodic story with the main plot scattered doesn't make it less episodic than having the main plot at the end. They are just different type of stories.
You forgot the DIO over heaven moron
I finished part 7 today. The majority of it was below 2 and 4 to me but everything after "Who shot johnny" was fucking 12/10.
I knew The World Diego was coming and I still lost my shit
I still don't understand what happened with who shot johnny or the space cutting shit with love train though, I get the misofortune reflection but not how the line itself that valentine goes in works or why it's shifting space or how it turned hotpants into a window
>Johnathan Favorite Jojo
Off to a nice start
>Kars Favorite Villain
Favorite fight Jack the Ripper
What the hell?
>Stone Free least favorite stand
>Shigechi is your least favorite villain
I'm certain that this spot was reserved for your least favorite of the MAIN villains
Your taste confuses me, Anon
>David Productions is dead
I'm fine with this. They dropped the ball so hard on Dio's World that I've lost faith
>No more Jojo anime ever
Not necessarily. I wouldn't put it past sombody to make a few DIU or SBR OVAs. Hell. I think you could probably cram the contents of VA into a feature length film.
Let me clarify. I think it would be fairly easy to abridge the contents, skip a few fights, and still be able to tell VA's basic story with decent accuracy within an hour and a half film.
>DP abandons us for Monster Hunter
>Part 4 never
>Diamond really was Unmakeable
They didn't have to tease us for 5/6 months.Just tell us straight out that you're not gonna do it.
They were contractually obligated to finish Part 3, but now that that's done, they're under control of Fuji TV. That's why they're making kids shows now.
Ok so just finished part 5 I noticed that my overall enjoyment of this part started to drop when it was old scans only. When can we expect better translations of part 5?
>there will never be a jojo abridged series of actual quality, and we'll always be stuck with Antfish's shitty one.
The article posted was from last year, and the contract for the third cour of Stardust Crusaders still counts as a brand new series. Get the boogeyman out of your dumbass mind and stop spreading misinformation.
I disagree. The final Kira fight was great, but you can't beat the "THIS ISN'T MY FINAL FORM" of part 6
also johnny vs diego was the epilogue fight, you fucker, if your logic worked mista vs rolling stones would be the final battle
I like Phantom Blood vampire Dio the most, but DIO makes a close second because I like his timestop fuckery with Polnareff and Senator Phillips.
>giorno and passione vs diavolo
isn't diavolo the leader of passione?
aren't giorno and the gang renegades?
「Ｅｙｅｓ ｏｆ Ｈｅａｖｅｎ」
Basically for the new game they supposedly got Araki to design us a new Ascended Dio with the stand The World Outer Heaven or something.
Pucci's dream is Dio joining the Lakers and being grape flavored.
>post yfw Jorge is in game
>He isn't playable
>Over Heaven DIO tries to kill him
>Just as he's going for the death blow
>Mr. Kars blocks him
>He gives DIO a speech saying how he's scum and that while in space he figured out the truth
>Humanity IS worth fighting for. And throwing it away is despicable
>He sends out Killer Queen
>the art went from fabulous ---> faggotous
how does one even reach such a state of pure wrongness?
>Kars blocks him
>"Shit nigga, you messed with the wrong jojo! WHERE MY CREW AT?"
>36 Kars from Mars show up for a gang beating while x gonna give it to ya plays.
>more importance to the plot
Why is it so hard to find good fanart of Stands?
>Haven't heard of any info on the game since initial announcement
>Introducing Diego, yeah that makes sense
>Wait what, Alternate World Diego, for literally what purpose?
>Heaven Ascended holy moly what the hell is going on
>Heaven DIO brings villains back to life to fight the Joestars
>He brings the major part villains back
>Diavolo is freaking the fuck out because people see his face
>Kira leaves immediately because this shit ain't normal
>Kars just gets brought back from space since he's alive
>He's half braindead
>Funny Valentine is confused because he's in the future
>Pucci is just fangirling over DIO
Great plan DIO. Lets bring all these weirdos back. Surely they'll work together fine :^)
Appreciate the effort man.
Here's my own take on it
Does anybody have that image of all the JoJo parts as movies? For Part VII, instead of having 'Hidalgo', they should replace it with Brokeback Mountain.
The edges of the artwork really show on this one though
look at this anon and laugh as he has shit opinions
i want giorno to be my boyfriend and let me kiss him
Is Heaven Dio still going to be obsessed with Jonathan? Will there be even more gay fanart?
Now, replace the Steel Ball Run poster with one of Brokeback Mountain. Keep the dinosaurs and american flag, though.
Weather Report, let me help you to fight Pucci
That would actually be a pretty damn interesting character to play as. He could move around the arena by having Wang Chan carry him everywhere, and he could use his veins as weapons.
It's like The Hand of part 6 with all the wasted potential
Did it really need confirming? It was always pretty obvious.
Why did they bother putting him in shadow during Part 3 when we all ready knew what he looked like from Phantom Blood?
>We go the entire part waiting to see DIO
>They get to the stairs and prepare to confront him
>He steps from the shadows
>Thee has a scar on his neck from Dio's attempt on his life
>Dio actually did die in the explosion
>Johnathan became a vampire because of the small amount of vampire essence he was injected with by Dio
>Went insane from 100 years on the ocean floor
You gotta wonder if Dio and his vampire army (had they triumphed over Jonathan) would've been able to handle the Pillar Men once they inevitably woke up in the early 20th Century.
Without Hamon, he'd be kind of fucked.
By that point, DIO would have likely controlled the entire world (or at least most of it), and would have probably been able to beat them, given his vast resources.
Hell. He might have discovered the stand arrows in that time.
I think the consensuses was that Dio himself might not die right off the bat since the pillar men absorb shit via enzymes, and the freeze technique might recent them from working, but he'd still be fucked regardless
>Brain is pierced by the mask completely and unlocks all of a human's physical capability, at the cost of not being able to enter the sun
For Pillar men (who were immortal PRIOR to using the mask)
>Brains are not fully pierced, not enough power
>Only some ability is unlocked
>They use the Aja as a power source to fully pierce their brains and unlock full potential (and become Ultimate Life Form)
Vampire is as far as a human can go using a mask
Yeah, that sounds right to me. It'd pierce Dio's skull and wouldn't work. The Aja Mask that Kars made was something specifically for Pillar Men. I doubt a non-PM could make use of it.
I better not be the only one who laughed at GER at first sight due to thinking it looks like someone shat on its face.
See you next thread.
Make way for best fight of part 6
>Heaven Dio acquires the SUTANDO POWAH of each Major Villain
>Johnathan acquires a Stand called "Get Back" gaining an evolved power of every Joestar Stand, that gives him a different way of manipulating space
Except that's wrong.
Kars is arrogant as fuck, considering Johnny is a literal cripple, Kars would probably just laugh at Johnny before he shoots him with the Ultimate Spin, killing Kars before he could learn the Spin.
>No point where sun goes supernova or red giant at all before the resetting of universe
Like I said before, No Proof. And don't give me hurr durr Emporio and Pucci survived because muh singularity point
I don't see the Pillar Men being able to beat a world filled with vampires (which is what would have come about because nobody knew Hamon besides Jonathan, and the Tibetans who weren't strong enough to defeat Dio). Maybe some of the natural born Stand Users could beat Dio?
Is it humanoid like The World? Fuck yeah.
Emperor? Yeah, sure, why not.
Beach boy? No.
Stray Cat? You sick fuck.
We're shown that the Earth's geography started changing in seconds (rather than millions of years) thanks to stuff like erosion from water and wind and plate tectonics. Emporio literally makes that observation verbatim.
It is stated Made in Heaven accelerates time in the entire universe, and that it accelerates time until the 'end' of the universe, whereupon it reaches a singularity point and a 'new world' is born. It's a logical conclusion the sun went red giant and wiped out all humans, while not affecting Pucci because of SUTANDO POWAH and Emporio, because he was literally on ground zero.
Everyone in the 'new world' is a different person. However, they have the memories of the their counterparts from the old world.
>Irene and Others don't know about the universal resets
>Everyone flat out clearly survives
Well, Get Back Johnathan could also have time manipulation from an evolved ability of each stand, mirroring the Jojo villains.
>>Johnathan acquires a Stand called "Get Back" gaining an evolved power of every Joestar Stand, that gives him a different way of manipulating space
Does this include GER and Tusk ACT 4?
If that's so, Jonathon would be absolutely broken.
Dio starts out with more powerful Stands, but Jonathan uses tactics to survive the insanely brutal assault (Hermit Purple's telepathy, Star Platinum's defense, Crazy Diamond's field control, Gold Experience's healing, Stone Free's versatility, and Tusk's spatial manipulation) and with resolve, unlocks the higher capabilities of all of them.
Not to be outdone, Dio pushes himself to try and overwhelm Jonathan, but winds up shattering both of their souped up Stands, resulting in them having to finish the battle Vampire vs. Hamon as it was back in Phantom Blood.
What is the theory exactly? Jonathan getting a Stand, or what the Stand powers would be like.
If anyone is getting a power-up to deal with Heaven DIO, my guess would be Jotaro.
Eventually, they mimic the climatic finish of their second epic battle in Dio's castle, with Johnathan using both Hamon and Spin power vs Dio's Vampiric Power, eventually Johnathan overwhelms Dio like before.
It's more of a What If? Scenario than a theory, although there's a chance it may happen, less likely than Jotaro powerup vs Heaven DIO tho.
So will this Dio game be worth buying?
Or will it be a typical half-assed anime fanservice game?
>Dio is shocked that Giorno is sharing his power with Jonathan instead of him.
>Giorno: You and I have very different definitions of the term 'family'. And that is why, in spite of your newfound divinity, YOUR father will never stop haunting you.
Ah, that's a shame really.
I would really have liked seeing Jonathon getting an OP Stand.
JoJo pretty much started with the two of them, and it would be rather nice to see a final-battle type ending with the two of them (even if this isn't canon).
I never really bought into the idea that Jonathan and Dio had a great rivalry. Dio was more like a persistent parasite.
He got his education because of Jonathan's father
The Stone Mask that gave him his powers only came to his attention because George found it and Jonathan was studying it
His Part 3 body is also Jonathan's.
They were never rivals, but they make a nice duo. They're total opposites with a weird bond (as shown by Jonathan's death) and the way they try to kill each other is different from others good guy vs final boss fights you'd see in other Jojo parts.
>not having Jonathan as your favorite Jojo
Do you have Jojo posters?
I bought this one and the Jotaro vs Dio cover recently. Looks pretty good
next to a bunch of normie posters to blend in
Why the fuck didn't we get this instead of the shitty art of part 3
Because Part 3 in Part 2's style would look stupid
>Waste 2 pages revealing info already revealed in other magazines
For what purpose? In fact, this scan doesn't even show the World Over Heaven
Literally the only new info here is that screenshot with Giorno, Jotaro, Joseph and Narancia
Don't be so dense. These are two different magazines and their target audiences don't fully overlap. They want to show as much new info as they can to the biggest amount of readers they can.
So which one's the dick? If red, that's a pretty massive dick if you ask me. If green then it's underwhelming.
>Speedwagon meeting Jonathan's son
God I can't wait to see how this goes
JJL 48 translation is up
I really really did not want to be proven wrong when I argued against you there.
Maybe it's because of a Rohan chapter or something. It seems to have turned into an annual series.
For me the Rohan stuff is good precisely because it's almost never about Rohan. All the best chapters are the ones that have him as only the narrator for unrelated stories about weird supernatural shit.
Please tell me this is Araki OC character
So the new new JoJolion,
it seems like Hato's fat boyfriend is taking out all of the Higashikatas and Norisuke seems to know Josefumi, who Yasuho doesn't think looks like Gappy and Gappy agrees with that.
>It doesn't even look like part 3 designs. The facial markings and shit make him look like a rejected pillarman design.
Pretty much. The last time facepaint or facial markings really were prevalent is late part 3 with the D'Arby's and maybe Superfly but other than that, he's kept peoples faces looking pretty normal.
It's pretty bad, but White/Gold World is great.
>Sure, let's go with that.
What other interpretation do you have (not sarcasm, genuine curiosity)
