I'm expecting Garden-Minato to be a different one than Coat-Minato, they at least don't seem like the same person and he probably has a good reason for gathering the pieces.

I'm thinking maybe somewhere around episode 8 or 9, the premise basically gets resolved and everyone goes by-by back to their own realities. Subaru goes through sad character montage, with some secret about what happened 7 years ago revealed, Subaru gets character development then show goes full Gainax.

It's great

At the beginning of the season, I had a feeling I would enjoy it, but my expectations have been exceeded quite a bit. All the characters/VAs are great, the backgrounds are gorgeous, and the multiverse plot, while not explored in depth, adds a thin layer of mystery to this mostly lighthearted show.

Aside from the mediocre CGI, which they only use for long distant or extremely short shots, the animation is quite good. I worry that, due to being 1 cour and the lack of significant exploration into the multiverses, the show might not achieve its full potential, but nonetheless it's been a very enjoyable experience that I look forward to each week.

For the first couple episodes they were using CG a lot for the broom segments, but now they barely use it.

They're going through all of the obligatory character backstory episodes now while building up their powerlevels. I'm expecting them to get to the bigger plot after that. Especially considering they keep showing backstories ending with the girl looking at the shooting stars, which are presumably the fragments during the crash, and Subaru is starting to question her princess' true nature.

The real question is how far into space will they go? In one episode they went from the moon all the way to fucking Saturn.

This show is getting better and better.
