They're intentionally a garbage class as set up by the three families. They're never supposed to win. Gilles was exceptionally weak cause he was an anomaly since the war needed a final servant and would have been better off as any other class.

Casters are high-skillcap/high-reward while the plot favors faceroll/high reward classes. Without plot armor, casters would be god tier.

Well, I expected the quoting. That NP sounds pretty useful, but like most NPs I assume it's limited in use and can't always be called upon. If it can, sweet, but if not, what else does he do? Beamspam like Medea or elemental attacks like Tamamo? He can't be just a one-trick pony.

The only classe Caster has an advantage over is Berserker since they have no magic res and are too stupid to dodge higher magic, but even then Medea probably couldn't have killed Herc more than once because god hand. Rider is an outlier.

Caster was good in UBW. Buffing her master to servant levels, building a strong base and getting a small army of servants compensated her lack of combat abilities, she only lost the war because whe was stupid.
If she had broken Saber's will immediately via command spell instead of using cosplay and orgasms, and disposed of Rin and Shirou as soon as Archer betrayed them, she would have won the war.

Medea: Becomes a pseudo master, could potentially kill the entire town in a matter of days. Takes control of the place where the grail is freaking kept. Her, Souchiro, and Assassin hold off every other servant. Including Berserker.

Bluebeard: Causes a "Hold up, we've got to deal with this shit," moment. Summons Old Ones and Cthulu for zerg tactics. Serial killers for fun, and holy hell was he and his master successful.

They're weak in straight up fights to balance out the sheer amounts of bullshit they can cause if left unchecked.

Gil and Kirei were still around, as would be Lancer if Rin was dead and he wasn't forced to commit sodoku protecting her. Lancer + Gil would have no trouble against Caster/Saber/Kuzuki. Also don't forget Archer's loyalty was never genuine, and Caster ignored him and killed Rin and Shirou, he'd be pretty pissed since she both fucked up his chances of creating a paradox, and killed Rin when he planned to give her Saber after everything was done.

A hundred servants

Even in her normal form she's the only Caster to beat a Saber, punching through magic resistance with her spells, and can do just fine in close combat even against Saber tier fighters. At present there's little question she's the strongest Caster so far outside of Semi in her floating garden. She's at a disadvantage in a close range fight against knights, but any other Caster would have been dead over a dozen hits ago.

Most of her abilities she won't even use, including her EX rank one due to bad memories from life. She can summon her other tails on her own if she wants, but its not recommended. Talisman casting means there's no need for incantations when anything is cast. Everything is already on the paper. Her Noble Phantasm gives her infinite mana for a brief period of time, which might be spammable in a normal grail war.

Pretty often people don't get why she's very powerful by Caster standards.
