I prefer the more science fiction oriented tone of Urusei Yatsura, especially in the anime. I like Ataru a little bit more than Ranma as well.

Because they cut him out of the entire show until they couldn't use the anime-only Sasuke to take his roles.

I'm serious, in the manga he was there from nearly the beginning. It's like a reverse on what happened with Urusei Yatsura, Ten showed up much later in the manga than the anime, which introduced him right away.
