I told you I am evil
Next is finally UBW
The effects animation in Saber vs Diarmuid were great, but UBW had better scenes from the same animator who did that fight anyway. Hell, he just did storyboards and animated Gae Bolg for the latest episode.
:Too bad Urobutcher decided to only do that fight with so much detail, until Kirei vs Kerry.
>Kirei vs Kerry.
>I'm talking about choreography
Is this supposed to be a joke?
The choreography in F/Z's fights weren't particularly elaborate either. Speed that servants moved during combat sure have changed though, so I suppose you prefer how F/Z did it?
>No NTR doujins where Rin makes a pact with Archer at the end of UBW and he has to fuck her for mana transfer purposes, making her have the time of her live and say that she enjoys Archer's dick more than Shirou.
>Speed that servants moved during combat sure have changed though
I actually prefer Zero servant speeds, since when they move around at woah supersonic speeds! it only makes it more retarded when they lose to high schoolers.
you know that feeling when something terrible is about to happen and there's nothing you can do to stop it? ;_;
In all honestly it needed more JETS if anything.
Zero was superior in every way. Combat was actually about skill instead of beamspams and forcefields. The very first fight(saber vs lancer) was just perfect. Last ep of UBW on the other hand... i literally facepalmed when archer and lancer naruto runned face first at each other.
No, the family has always been a Martial Arts family and Nagato always believed they could be used as a path to the root.
>inb4 citing the tm wiki = lulz
Fate/Zero is clearly superior due to the fact it has JETS in it.
>Combat was actually about skill instead of beamspams and forcefields.
And that's exactly what fight between Servants aren't suppposed to be, that's why they changed it.
Servants are superhumans, they can't fight that slow like they did in Zero.
>Gae Bolg scene
>I am the bone of my sword
best scene for now
It was still more entertaining than watching them fly across the screen with lazers and shit. I'm saying this as someone who fucking loved the game and played it in 2009. Then again, they're trying to emulate the VN as much as they can so I can't really complain.
>it only makes it more retarded when they lose to high schoolers.
who /cookingpriest/ here? Just finished jerking off to his latest posts
Exactly. Even legsweep > right to left motion is.
I don't get the open hands for non-palm hits, though.
>he has to fuck her for mana transfer purposes
Why exactly did it have to be semen again? I thought other bodily fluids work too?
And will the contract even work since the grail is gone?
Nah, it isn't. Fights in F/SN are just metaphors for idealogical conflict, it's more about the character than the strategy.
If you want more F/Z watch Hunter x Hunter or any other show that does tactics 10x better
I don't understand this change of mood. Before Zero anime everyone that didn't like Zero first was a secondary and now that the anime of it is over everyone that loves Zero is a secondary.
That looks like the first fighting pose we saw Goku take in his first world martial arts tournament. And his opponent was like "wow, that's a super stupid stance, but I can tell he's got no openings because he's so fucking badass".
That was specifically part of the narrative. Kerry has time manipulation magic, but it's localized to his body. Meaning he can either move and react superfast, or he can slow himself down a bunch so he doesn't appear to be alive (a seemingly pretty useless ability, except that he uses it to hide from Kayneth's mercury sex toy).
That was right after the palm hit. Rin didn't show a "stance" since she just ran out and did the first hit.
I am aware. I meant AS she was doing the elbow hit they should not have been opened.
Because Zero caught on into the mainstream. Now this isn't inherently a problem, but there are people who literally only care about Zero, and whine when UBW, or anything else Type Moon, isn't the same as it.
One of the forms.
Looks like a slamming move, both hands are supposed to sort of 'unfurl' onto the opponent and the open palm just maximizes the energy transfer from the unfurling.
The other hand is mostly for balance.
Rin watched the high jump too, dude.
And as soon as Shirou and Rin start to get to know each other she begins to like him. Rin does care about Archer, but she clearly loves Shirou in UBW.
Type-Moon is no different than Bleach/Naruto when it comes to broken power levels being the main course of the day. Remove the porn in Fate and it's the same as your average Shonen Jump series.
The only thing worse is when people think Fate/stay night is better than Bleach/Naruto just because it has "mature" content like Shirou jackhammering Rin. Well, it isn't.
That, uh, looks like a drawing error for an leg sweep->elbow strike->lower fist strike or midway through Testuzankou (shoulder / elbow slamming move).
I haven't watched this episode yet, I'm waiting for subs
No, Rin basically had zero magical capacity available since she was supporting Saber. She specifically tells (or implies, but to anyone not as dense as Shirou it's very clear) Shirou that she actually doesn't have quite enough and will need regular dickings to make up the difference. And the clocktower would have loved to basically dissect anyone who has a goddamn heroic spirit as a familiar. And sex toy.
My issue is that when each of the Servants are separately portrayed with their Masters, there is a good balance in terms of drama and also how believable it is. When paired against each other, it becomes much more like a typical anime or videogame, and loses some of the unique qualities the show has. This is fine for action sequences, especially when they're supposed to be cool and exciting instead of dramatic and classy, but I just hope it's not something that is too frequent.
>but there are people who literally only care about Zero, and whine when UBW, or anything else Type Moon, isn't the same as it.
This was the case before the anime. I remember people spamming shit about Zero's superiority back then also and fuck was everyone hyped for the anime.
I can admit the writing is a bit silly at time, but the story has gotten pretty interesting and the animation is great. Certainly more cliche than Fate/Zero but I'm eager to see where they go with it.
Fucking god dammit aniki...
How can Zero Lancer even stand a chance against him?
They most likely did. The only ones saying the didn't is those that hate the Good ending and say that it is bullshit Saber stayed when the only bullshit is that she choose not to in the True end.
I read the VN a little earlier and not much was different outside of small dialogue and scenes with Saber and jumbling up some of the scenes (kerry vs kiritsugu happening after rider vs gil for example)
I agree. The last fight was completely butchered. I was so hyped for it since they handled almost all the others so well, some better than the LN.
Also, where the fuck was my time alter emiya?
The exact opposite also counts to Zero though, ESPECIALLY if you read the VN first
>Man, this servants aren't really that great at all
>why doesn't Kiritsugu just shoot them? They clearly aren't faster than bullets nor have the reactions to try to avoid.
F/SN ruins all of the fights in Zero for me because of that (except RiderXGilgamesh, which is more of symbolic fight than anything)
My youngfriend flag is tingling from this post, but you're making a mountain out of a molehill.
Power levels are a poor plot device, and they're used in spades throughout TM storylines. That's all there is to it really.
Something like Fate is not better than Bleach or Naruto. The combat styles used may be different, yes, but the power levels are still the main, dull, and tired triggers that move the story foward. Character development is also kept to a minimum as well, just like in a shonen series. One again, the fighting is the main attraction in something like Bleach or Fate/stay night.
At the same time the VN remarks that he could have been summoned as a particularly badass Caster. His Runes are actually not at full power because he's not a Caster. And Nasu says he could kill Berserker a few times because he could use his runes to up the rank of his attack.
I dunno man, runes can do literally anything as long as you have some setup time.
They're literally the buffs you see in MMO's / well skills from GW2
Give him some time for preparation and it's done.
Cu held off Gilgamesh, who must have gotten at least half-serious (opened all of GoB) after an hour at absolute most, for half a fucking day.
That's something nobody else can boast of except for Saber with Avalon (UBW Shirou never fought him when he was serious).
How long have you losers been sitting in these threads talking about the same shit over and over again? Don't you ever get up and realize how much of a waste of time this stupid shit is?
I dunno how that's supposed to be bait when it is a fact that they job to japanese teenagers and one school teacher
Because the bow is traditionally the female's weapon, due to not being in the middle of a fight. It's retarded because a good bow needs super-lifting level strength but that's tradition. Assassin would have been a female figure too (probably) if it wasn't just a shadow with a skull on it.
A lot of these posters are neckbeards with no lives who will defend the shit out of this thing even though it isn't that amazing. I wouldn't defend it, but it's fun and also a great way to kill time.
Everything anyone or anything does is a waste of time, I might as well waste it doing something I enjoy
She probably can't do an Excaliblast but I am sure Rin can absorb some jewels so Seibah can fight for a while. After all Saber is extremely mana efficient since she is not a traditional heroic spirit, as long as she doesn't use Excalibur.
Yeah, because of when you think of, say, British longbowmen, or primitive people hunting game with a bow, you totally think of chicks.
Also, I fucking hate these "select the 2 <particular food items>" captchas. Most of that shit looks fucking disgusting. I suspect a lot of it is a picture of what their barf looked like.
No, it's the idea that if a girl is going to use a weapon it should be a bow.
Look man I'm just telling you how it could work. Notice how none of the others are female and one of them isn't even human while the other is arguably a zombie.
They probably wanted a female in there.
Also this was in the VN as I recall, the archer card has always been a [poorly drawn] female.
ok wtf why does he have a wooden table on top of a stove is he fucking retaded?
That's a really long leg you have there Lancer.
when did Shiki first get his "look," Melty Blood? In the VN he's just a faceless MC for self-inserting.
Kagestu Tohya / Melty Blood
Found a video of you online F/ate/bro :)
Plus-Disc, Alliance of Illusionary Eyes.
Late to the party, tell me they did this shit perfectly?
In the Alliance of Illusionary Eyes short story, which played with it by having Fake Shiki tricking people into thinking he was the real shiki (it worked because at that time no one knew how he really looked like b/c faceless protagonist).
>More like in the VN his arm was supposed to barely even be attached to this body any more. He's a lot less fucked up at the end of this exchange than he should be.
this but i dont think they gonna fix this in the BD version
"Your smile is fucking offensive"
>Reminder that Rin loves Archer and not Shirou and only took him because he is the closest she can get.
>Underestimating the power of the high jump bar
Come on, everybody knows that no girl can resist the high jump.
TM makes a habit of leaving their anime viewers in the dark. Remember their message when Fate/stay night 2006 was done airing?
>"PLEASE PLAY THE GAME IF YOU DIDN'T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING AND TO GET THE FULL EXPERIENCE."
Poor adaptations are poor. Type Moon stuff just doesn't work in anime or manga form.
I somehow doubt she knows enough about melee to buff her defense in the right places at the right time.
Remember the girl's essentially a sheltered princess, and once she had problems she'd just spam beams while hiding behind Jason.
Someone getting close is unprecedented and buffing the whole body probably means the buff can't be that strong.
If Gil pulled out Clarent prototype on Saber, would she lose or win?
Basically if you pull out what killed the hero in their own legend, would it have a bonus or a penalty [because they remember it]?
Well, not that.
Probably, but he'd eventually become a pincushion over time. It's not that good. BC is the reason he was stated to have fought Gil for so long. He was probably quite torn up before his death.
The manga has none of the character development that made Tsukihime so interesting. Combine that with shoddy art and shonen fighting scenes that last nearly entire volumes, and you got a recipe for failure.
>implying Gil could beat Cu in a melee fight
>implying it wasnt explictily told what happened
Enkidu you goofus. Cu has a rank divinity
>Does Cu's protection against arrows count Gate of Babylon's NPs?
>Basically if you pull out what killed the hero in their own legend, would it have a bonus or a penalty
You get a bonus.
But Caladbolg was never used against Cu.
well no wonder caster lost her shit when she got hit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iscP8gase1Q
Maybe. I have the feeling that that might be it (and Gil is shit at using weapons besides Ea, Enkidu, and probably those 'sixty-stone daggers' or whatever he used in the actual legend.
Can he actually use the NP itself is the question. If he pulls out Vajra can he launch it? If he pulls Mjollnir can he spam thunderbolts? Or are they just really strong hammers?
Hell if he pulls out a passive weapon NP like the yellow spear Gae Buidhe or whatever does it work?
She buffed Kuzuki's legs and fists and that's it. He's fast and shit and knows how to fight in the first place, all he needs is speed up and attack up. His martial art works in that you can't hit him, because if you can then you've figured him out and if you've figured him out then he's already lost.
Could Morgan Le Fay or Nimue/Lady of the Lake be summoned as a Caster?
Or spam weapons like no tomorrow assuming no Avalon which is plot-device level of hax.
Apparently he has god-tier weapons and armor in there considering he pulled the Mask of Hades out in Prisma.
Gungnir seems to be the prototype for basically all the northern europe spears, makes sense as the ability of Gungnir is "Never Ever Miss" which is essentially Gae Bolg.
The real question is who the fuck held Gungnir seeing as Gods are apparently not heroes. Mjollnir / Gungnir / some of the other things he has are God-weapons.
That sounds ridiculous, why doesn't he pull out the Bolt of Zeus on Heracles to one-shot the fucker?
He's even more overpowered than I thought if he just has God stuff under his belt too.
If he uses Ea outside of an RM, would it have an effect similar to ORT's sphere?
god damn it now i really want to see fate route lancer vs gil fight animated by ufotable
Archer vs Berserker and Rider vs Saber as well
come the fuck on TM, make it happen
Actually, I recall the VN indicating that he could still just spam against Avalon endlessly and he'd come out the victor. Saber knew she couldn't make any attacks while Avalon was up, and she couldn't drop it until there was a break in his attacks. He could just do an endless torrent on her and wait for her to run out of prana.
That's stupid, if he's the prototype human then everyone should lose immediately.
>Archer, you've lost
>I am TOHSAKA
>Tohsaka you've lost
>I'm the banker and your loan is due
2/3 God. Some weird Babylonian thing where there are three components of humanity vs. divinity: the mother, the father, and the womb. Since he was born by a female deity, rather than sired by a male one, he was 2/3.
>imagine you're super powerful edgy King of NEET without social skills and friends
>forced to fight against REAL MAN for 12 hours
>yfw he plays for time
>yfw he's evasion master
>yfw he drinks estus for HP
>yfw he insults you for 12 hours
>yfw you can't kill him fast
Worst day in Gil life
He needs to hire a secretary or some shit then. Imagine just spamming Sword of Mars / Kusanagi / Lance of Longinus / Mjollnir.
>I have meta-weapons
>Here is the reset button
>Here is the author's pen
the VN itself
What if he has Kirby in there.
No. If you want a shit manga adaptation, just look at Fate.
There are recrods of civilizations before Third Dynasty of Ur, we just don't know their religion. Hell I'm pretty sure that Indus Valley Civilization came before Mesopotamia civilizations.
>I see what you did there
Actualy he didn't
I don't know what you're talking about.
I don't see it on Nyaa at least.
Maybe Gilgamesh has nepnep in there too.
Maybe he has the King's Pudding and can make Saber stop fighting just by the pudding.
>Gilgamesh has Demonbane in his vault
>He also has Myougi and Featherine
>Gilgamesh > everything confirmed
It doesnt matter. The Mesopotamic gods are Gods of Gaia, the rest, Gods of Alaya. Gilgamesh was created to serve as a bridge between Alaya and Gaia, just like Arcueid when Crimson Moon.
Not unsightly, just very muscular body.
She had no such thing. She just had body image issues. She'd always been a dainty little ditz, she just assumed she must be a beefcake because she did everything the beefy dudes were doing.
But what about in-universe? Sure, they're fictional video game characters but not within their universes.
Technically everything in Fate is created or influenced by tales told by humans. Does this mean that the Gate of Babylon has another Gilgamesh? I don't mean the original myth's Gil, I mean Fate-Gil.
Likely only the original.
Now that I think about it, is Pestilence a 'Hero' or a 'Phantasm'?
He's a human idea but he got summoned.
Pestilence is the most broken spirit I've seen so far, the only one more broken would be Death or some shit.
>now you're dead
No because Archer can't trace it because he doesn't read enough mango / watch enough animu / read enough ln-vn stuff.
Fate/stay night Réalta Nua
>because he doesn't read enough mango / watch enough animu / read enough ln-vn stuff.
No, it's not that, I'm just not connected to anyone who's not an asshat leecher. I know most of you faglords have your upload speeds throttled, and you're the ones I keep connecting to.
I have realy high hopes for GO Assassin.
>An honest and rational good person. Behaves with a strange lack of self-confidence. A troubled Heroic Spirit that is distressed by the "evil" that lurks inside his heart and tries to fight against it.
Yep it's Dr. Jekyll
>That little bit of EMIYA that played here
Hype as fuck/10
So, Shirou is faster than Herakles and can pull a surprise attack on Gil but Herakles can't?
They actually replaced "Protector" with "Guardian".
Looks like the mail I sent to Aniplex quoting many sources on their mistake paid off.
Heracles is being retarded due to being Berserker.
Non-Berserker Herakles might not be able to kill full-powered Gil but would probably give him a good fight.
Hydra Venom hella OP.
That being said, is the Nimean Lion's skin included in God Hand or not?
I'm wondering this because I'm thinking of how the Arthurian legends were constantly modified. From "Who's Arthur's best Knight" to each knight's personality, it was Wikipedia before the internet.
I think Gwalchmei would make an amazing Rider. It's just I'm unsure if he can be summoned.
>Illya distracts Berserker in his fight with Gil and Shirou
I heard Charlemagne was going to be summoned as a Rider or something.
What would his NP's be? He famous more for being first HRE I thought.
Something something burning the world tree?
Something something Twelve Paladins?
Something something Lombard Princess / Mom killed my otouto?
What's applicable for him?
But then is Heracles just not wearing the Lion or something?
What would wearing it do?
Make him literally invincible?
I meant this because God Hand negates weak attacks.
>but didn't he already use all 3 of his seals?
No. And we still don't know how Caster got 3 Command Spells if Shirou had only 1 left, and how Rin recovered her Command Spell to order Saber to not get in the mud at the end of UBW.
It's not the same. They seem to be similar though.
The Lion's skin can only be pierced or slashed by its own claws. So it gives you immunity to slashing or piercing damage but blunt weapons still work.
God Hand represents immortality and therefore somehow includes damage immunity.
Actually this NP is a huge load of crap. Either the heroic spirit Heracles represents the mortal Heracles (who's not immortal) and therefore has no immortality NP, or the god Heracles (who could have access to such a NP) but that would be crap too since gods cannot be summoned.
FS/N Heracles doesn't wear the lion's skin so his damage immunity comes from the God Hand NP.
I agree. I like how they put layers of shield in front of the flower.
If I'm not mistaken servants are fast enough to dodge bullets.
Also I remember Nasu saying modern humans can't become heroes because technology like guns makes shit too easy so noone actually becomes skilled and legendarily powerful.
Why is Caster so useless? Big blue man was fucking useless and could only create chaos. Now long eared purple caster is fucking useless and getting beaten by bunch of teenagers. Aren't they supposed to be heroes of past that went into history as myths?
How about Hercules getting beaten by 14 year old girl, how you're supposed to get legend out of that?
I can't imagine him wearing the skin like a bodysuit, dear anon. Let's just say it's a bit harder to slash his neck (like decapitation).
Which is basically what I'm saying.
>And one of the few remaining `reasons` to play the decade old powerpoint no budget eroge has fallen.
Is this a shitpost or not?
It's good but did you really have to bring that last part up, true or not?
But just as a hero's weapons are more advanced, so do the enemies he must overcome also become armed with more advanced weapons, right?
I mean, Francis Drake is perfectly acceptable with guns and naval cannons as her weapons, because her feats are still elgendary.
Black Barrel is a special gun made by the Church I think to fight shit like True Ancestors and by extension Types. If I could remember Gun God found it in the middle of nowhere.
Too distant from his origin/elemental attribute of sword.
Tracing shields, spears etc can still be done, but it's several times the mana cost.
On top of all that, guns aren't efficient. They have no history/magical power behind them. Though there is that CG from Fate/Extra showing EMIYA with a sniper rifle, so he might have gone full magus-killer.
Seriously, why did ufotable need to make Archer vs Lancer at night?
The cloudy midday that the VN used was infinitely better. It's like ufotable seems to think everything looks better with a shitty blue "night" filter over it.
He may have used guns when he was alive, but he probably bought them and can't project them.
Same reason Shirou fights with a wooden stick during the grail war instead of just getting an actual sword.
That was some nice fire.
So if I grow my own vegetables, can I become a seigi no mikata?
>How about Hercules getting beaten by 14 year old girl, how you're supposed to get legend out of that?
The real Heracles got himself killed in a way that could have been done by a 14 year old girl as well. Think about it.
Well not exactly but it lead to his suicide.
Read the rest of my post you mouthbreather. Medea still had a fleece that could be used to summon a fucking dragon. The fact that said fleece was once the skin and fur of something else didn't stop her from having it. So you're not going to stop Heracles from having the Nemean Lion's pelt simply because it used to be on the Nemean Lion.
I think Nasu once addressed this: the God Hand he has supercedes the pelt of the Nemean Lion, making the pelt superfluous. Of course it actually isn't, since the pelt might protect you from something God Hand does not and then you have one more life to burn through, but this is Nasu logic, after all. Alternatively, think of the protection the pelt gave him as having be subsumed into the God Hand, since this was his reward for the labors (which included slaying the lion, as you note, so it's reasonable that the God Hand encompasses all his gains and rewards from these labors).
I always thought she only got the one seal back. But if you recall Fate/Zero, then you'll remember that Kirei was granted a full new set of 3 seals by the grail so he could continue as a Master. He didn't have to steal those from his Father. So we can easily suppose that the same thing happened with Rin: the Grail still recognized her as a participant, it still had at least one seal left that Rin hadn't used up, and so gave one or more seals back to Rin so she can reform a contract with a remaining servant.
He's right about the translation though, it's kind of clunky. How many times do we read about Shirou wanting to vomit?
It's just that nobody is autistic enough to retranslate a VN as long as F/SN, so it's all we have.
the anime doesn't suffer from nasu's actually writing
he comes up with chunni concepts and epic ideas (like gilgamesh) but is a god awful writer pen to paper.
The Quality Of A Fate Release Is Inversely Proportional To How Involved Nasu Is With It
The dude is just a dude. The Gun God is a conceptual weapon that imposes the concept of Gaian mortality upon the target. This is what lets it kill True Ancestors and Types etc.
Probably not good quality but made a sound webm
Actually, the translation is fine. It's Mirror Moon's editing that's total tripe.
As a result, the english Fate/stay Night fan localization is very low quality. But I suppose that beggars can't be choosers. I mean hey, you Nasutards got Fate/hollow ataraxia after how many years?
It occurred in the night in the VN, too. That was kind of the basic operating concept of the whole fucking war: do it at night so as to draw less attention to yourself and magecraft.
And? You'd have to be retarded to not notice the obvious desaturation in scenes like this.
>Actually, the translation is fine. It's Mirror Moon's editing that's total tripe.
Are you retarded?
Mirror did the translation.
Just noone is autistic enough to retranslate a VN that's "readable"
