>>124828141

>>124828141
>>124828224
Not really, if there's money to be made, any ethical or legal oblications can be swept under the carpet.
The episode after the next one is going to be a timeskip. It'll show a dark and grim landscape dominated by the berserk Giftias, quarantined areas, secluded utopias, and an entire populace split between the haves and have nots.
MC, after aptly losing his left eye to Isla who's now MIA, is now part of an old ragtag group of rebels along with his former coworkers. Of course, Michiru still being the hotblooded bitch she is, has taken initiative to lead their squad after their boss died to save their asses. Their mission is to shutdown the Giftias and takedown the corporation behind it all.
Also, having been a witness to the downfall of the orient for the past few years, America has deemed it necessary to purge numerous areas plagued by Giftias by bombing them to oblivion because obviously EMP and all that shit won't work due to technobabble. Unfortunately, one of the areas to be bombed is where MC and the resistance's main base of operation is at. They lie at the edge of the largest bastion of humanity in Japan. It's also where the very corporation is located.
The time limit is a month.

There's two scenarios. Either the company didn't know about the problem, or they did know. If they did know, they wouldn't have released it. If they didn't know, then when it did happen, it would have been a massive scandal. The company would have been forced to pull the product and possibly face lawsuits.

It's my main problem with writing in this series. Situation like previous episode when Giftia is raising little kid when people know it would be taken after short period of time shouldn't happen in any sane country. From moral standpoint this show hurts to watch.

This is Japan though. And companies do not care as long as they get quick bucks.

Plastic Memories confirmed for trainwreck tier.
>>124831198
Be careful about calling an argument "really fucking stupid" when you managed to completely misunderstand the argument.
Failure is an inevitability, so it must be a consideration whenever you design anything.
Most often a design that performs worse, has half the effective lifespan, but doesn't fucking destroy everything it interacts with at failure is preferable to a design that performs better, lasts longer, but destroys everything in its wake when it finally does fail.
From design perspective, a Giftia with a lifespan of 5 years that quietly shuts down is better than one that lasts almost ten but goes berserk with what seems to be a 100% failure rate

It's a half-truth. Sure planned obsolescence is a significant factor, but it coincides with other considerations that take precedent, such as reducing weight for the sake of fuel efficiency, and crash safety.
Reason most modern cars today fold like tin cans in an accident compared to older ones is because they're deliberately designed to crumple in such a way that redirects the energy from impact and preserves the passenger zone as much as possible.

Why don't they have a remote shut down function or an automatic shut down once the limit is reached? That's insane! Obviously they weren't meant for commercial use. Either that, or they're being tested before sent to the military. I bet the whole time limit itself is made up bullshit in the first place.
>>124833816
>>Lets raid it after one of Giftia is missing because who fucking cares up to this point.
Do you even get why they retrieve the Giftias in the first place?
>>124833904
Imagine a berserk Marcia fucking you violently.
>>124833967
Doujins never, thanks Hestia.
I can't believe they tried to make R Security look like the bad guys
>>124834004
None of the girls in this show are that hot enough
>>124833508
Considering they're not allowed to put a transmitter on said androids because of "android rights" that's not going to happen.
>>124834064
They did literally nothing wrong.
>>124834004
It'll still be all ships and girls with silly hats, same as ever.
>>124834064
They were presented as somewhat reasonable.
What surprises me is the fact not all Giftias become Wanderers.
>>124833789
I second this
>>124833074
The antagonist is a giftia who has gone past the berserk stage, developed his own stable ego and personality, and is seeking to free the giftias from human control.
>>124834197
>What surprises me is the fact not all Giftias become Wanderers.
Did I miss something?
>>124834254
I'd like that.
You guys try too hard. There's plenty of reasons to dislike this show, but it's obvious that some of these complaints (how did the kid get in there) will get expanded on in the next episode.
>>124833910
It probably takes nine years to fully train them by having them in human society after which they are modified and used for military purposes.
What the fuck is this logic?
If they hadn't interfered you would be dead you stupid fucking cunt. In fact, if you had let them do their job properly in the first place the other bitch wouldn't have a busted leg for life.
Heh, it even sounded like a Dominator.
>>124834326
You don't know that.
>>124833380
Almost every (read: all) piece of technology we have has its roots in the military. I wouldn't be surprised if their frames are based on military-grade bots.
>>124834254
It also blend into society like a normal human, destroying the system from inside out
I like it
>>124834370
You can't expect anything less from a tsundere.
>>124834370
She pisses me off so much.
>>124834004
Marcia wants to make some physically intimate menories with you, anon.
But she can no longer retain any of it, so she just keeps riding you.
Eventually she won't remember why either.
>>124834370
It was implied that the army guys showing up and being loud antagonized her father and made him go feral faster. If they didn't show up cake could have finished the job.
>>124834370
She knows, she just can't be honest because tsunderitis.
>>124834326
>but it's obvious that some of these complaints (how did the kid get in there) will get expanded on in the next episode
You can never underestimate how retarded a show can be. Most of the stuff about the Giftias is retarded and doesn't make sense. Who gives a shit how a random 7 year old wandered in there? Fucking sewers or some shit.
>>124834417
Exactly
Every time Isla says to leave it her shit gets fuck up.
Always do the opposite of what Isla says.
I want berserk Isla to rape me.
>>124834466
That's bullshit. Marcia showed that didn't matter.
>>124819510
They do, you can find genga for older anime in Mandarake auction. For the newer ones, you can usually find genga collection on sites like amiami.
>>124833267
I'm guessing Marcia jumped to the top of the same building where they first found her, while Michiru and the rest were searching somewhere a lot further.
Doesn't make it any less hard to believe, but it's possible.
>>124834569
This is what I thought too.
>>124834394
I have a feeling. This is the same show that showed a scene to justify how a crippled, slow-moving couple found a fast-moving robot on a random rooftop before a bunch of trained army guys. It seems strange to cover that base and then completely fuck up something a lot more obvious.
>>124834642
Shut up already, I just need excuses to hate this.
>>124832205
It's her fault that she ran into the line of fire.
>>124834552
She was already feral, her father was on the cusp. Even then, MC almost reached out to her.
God lord, Just install a fucking auto shutdown.
>>124834740
but muh human rights
>>124834706
Yeah and you know what set her off again? Souta.
>>124834681
You don't need excuses, it's pretty mediocre so far. It falls into the pratfall of alternating between rom-com and drama and as a result does neither particularly well.
>>124833723
Well I'm talking about GPS signal, not cell tower pings.
>>124834846
Again, that's because she was already feral. Probably more prone to being set off by sudden noises or movements then.I should write for this show
"Almost reached" was a poor choice of words though, because in that situation there was no fucking way they'd be able to shut her down without her freaking out again.
>>124834278
The 6 o'clock bus that takes you to 666 Lucifer Road.
Holyshit, Isla is so useless, worst android.
Also
>Not using gps in your androids
>Not at least using gps when there less than 100 hours of normal function
>>124834278
Yes, the part where it was stated multiple times across multiple episode that giftias turning violent is a rare occurrence.
>>124831019
Friendly reminder that they would avoid all these problems if they installed Gentoo on giftias
I would expect Giftias to have some buffer time between official expiry date and true expiry date.
>human rights for androids
>not using GPS to track down dangerous androids
>not letting the professionals do their job, because of my emotions
>not understanding that androids are objects and robots shouldn't have rights
>>124821752
>forgot "watashi wa eru"
What a shit episode.
>>124834706>>124834706
This is going to serve as foreshadowing or something, I swear.
Isla is going to go critical and she's going to somehow develop automatic non-critical memory disposal through the power of love.
It strikes me that the only way Giftia and the support structure for their existence could only come to be that way if somehow SAI does not have a full grasp on the inner workings of the very product they are selling and manufacturing.
So who designed these things then? God? Aliens? Dr. Light?
>>124835542
>he still wants a waifubot after this
>>124835583
I personally think we should go back to the old days and have no guaranteed rights
Some of these robots deserve rights more than people
First volume cover.
I was hoping MC would get rekted when he tried calming Marcia down, woulda been a nice twist but oh well.
So what did Nips think of it?
>>124835604
Michiru manga adaptation when.
>>124835722
Second most liked episode after the first one. And yeah, many comparisons with Psycho-Pass.
>>124835619
Foreshadowing what?
Isla is already fixed courtesy of virus-kun.
>>124835713
So I wasn't the only one who was hoping for broken hand.
>>124835722
Most went Pschopass references in my robot girl show? Dogakobo confirmed for bros.
The few westaboos also mentioned Bladerunner and electric sheep.
If isla were dead, her name would've been completely removed from the board rather than just being marked absent. most likely she was partially injured from the dominator
but then this is Plastic Memories so shit doesn't need to make sense
a possible twist is that the dominator destroyed the planned obsolescence part of her programming. therefore when tsukasa inevitably refuses to put isla down and goes on the run like a good mc, there is a means to discover this aspect of the programming and then everyone gets to live happily ever after with their robo moeblobs
It's all because of this closed source proprietary bullshit. Should have installed gentoo
Isn't the idea of a sex slave black market retarded because of all the disabled limiters? I mean that girl said that lifting a car is like a child's play to them.
>>124835905
But then Humans will die out as a species if everyone decides to rape their robo moeblob.
>>124835709
Awful.
>>124833110
All is part of the keikaku of the anti-androids faction, they could use a dead kid as a martyr, and show to the population the danger of having an android in your home.
>>124835945
Black market people don't care about that bullshit. They just want a quick buck. Fuck whatever happens to the buyer.
>>124835905
Anybody who thinks Isla is dead or was hit by the Dominator is absolutely retarded. She's probably being treated for her leg injury.
>>124835928
RMS pls.
>>124836026
Souta was hit with Dominator since it's harmless for humans.
>>124835990
My thoughts exactly.
>>124836026
>She's probably being treated for her leg injury
uh I forgot about that, guess I'm retarded
