I was that way about cute/sd lolis way back, figured it out ounce and managed to draw a couple, but eventually dropped the style altogether.

Some, but it's simple enough that you can work it out with practice.

If you can't grasp heads and 3D spaces easily, draw simple 3D shapes and spaces. It'll help you gain understanding of volume and perspective.
