Used to watch all anime on a CRT until a year or two back. Still would, but you can't really buy them anymore around here. For a couple years it was amazing when you could buy an amazing quality CRT for about a $100 where if you wanted to get something similar in LCD you'd have to put down over a grand, and it would still be worse in some aspects.

Even if CRTs have better colors, doesn't the curved screen make things near the edge of it appear bent, and the resolution isn't nearly as high? I've been using LCD computers and TVs almost since they came out and I honestly can't remember far enough back to what CRTs looked like. I know they were what my parents had, but from what I recall they looked really shitty compared to when I first got a flatscreen TV.

It's not that curved, I just took the pic from a high angle and it looks way more curved than it actually is.

And no, they don't appear bent, unless there's a problem with the magnetic deflection.

CRTs from the 2000s were mostly flat screen. My (pictured) is from 1996. As said, the pic is terrible and doesn't do justice.
