Run into Asahinagu recently. Looks fun and all, read the first three chapters released, and then noticed:
>Status in Country of Origin [Edit]
>14 Volumes (Ongoing)
>v.1 c.3 by Manga Syndrome (1053d ago)
And of course all the manga that died along with Horobi no Michi are over 1100 too. Still mad about that cunt.
Asahinagu is so fucking good. So glad I can read moon.

This shit was terrible, but it was my first updates never. It's been at least seven years.
Download GIMP. Apply lasso tool. You'll figure it out.
This seriously needs someone translating it.

And the quality of these tls is quite shoddy. It's a pretty demanding series, lots of talking, puns, history, mythology etc.

Complete self-insert Shinsengumi fanfic, but cute and absolutely loaded with historical trivia. Also some translated, pivotal chapters are MIA.
I picked it up when I saw a thread about it at the last chapter release.

Leaving you hanging, after more than half of the series has been scanned, and it was leading to climax it's just cruel and inhuman.
manga scanlators are the only people worse than anime subbers
Proof me wrong
I think that was a French one, here in Italy the serie started a short while ago and is barely around 3rd volume
and it's release schedule has been already moved to 3-monthly because sold like shit.
Well, at this point when someone says France you should think of Italy too, and the other way around. You bastards get so many good series that it's hard to remember who is who.
Most aren't. Except Panini titles, a few from Pika and Tonkam.
Italy have a single issue: Italians. On both sides of the thing.
Shit taste in reading and buying, most publishers doing whatever the fuck they want with releases and such, exaggerately contrived distribution of final products, and so on.
As far as sheer number of releases goes Italy is on par with France but it's largely shonen and action series. Over and over. And not even the good ones - hell, according to some large fansite polls Bleach and Toriko are the best thing ever while nobody even knows who Fujita is, and we're getting Karakuri Circus published right now. Ah, and you can count SoL/comedy series on one hand.
Then in the ocean of mediocrity you get some nearly worldwide exclusives (second volume of Spirit Circle in a couple of weeks or so). Which sell like shit, of course.
It's kind of like Italians always did stuff, if you think about it.
France is just much more open minded about picks - especially from /a/ "good manga series" perspective, it's the best country.
>Shit taste in reading and buying, most publishers doing whatever the fuck they want with releases and such, exaggerately contrived distribution of final products, and so on.
This is really getting unbearable.
I want my Emma and Soredemo.
They keep saying that they're going to continue publishing it but at this point I just feel like they're fucking with us.
Why they fuck do they keep buying series that they'll inevitably discontinue instead of concluding at least one?
See under "publishers doing whatever the fuck they want".
>Emma, 10 volumes, complete
>start pubslihing March 2014, 5 volumes with monthly releases back to back
>still waiting for 6th volume
>get first 3 volumes relased, bi-monthly
>3rd volume release date: August 2012
The best thing is that you can't get even an half-assed response from the publisher about "why". Not even a "sold like shit so fuck you all".
That single publisher has something like 40 series on hold with that excuse.
It's even more infuriating than dead scanlations, as some people spent money on them.
Oh, and don't get me started on LNs.

I-It's a good josei, okay?
I didn't expected to see Anon talking about Karakuri Circus and Fujita one day.
You don't have any idea what you are talking about, do you?
Moonlight Act. Not as good as Karakuri Circus, but still really enjoyable.
I try to read every Fujita works, so I have every Moonlight Act released in France, nine first volumes of Karakuri Circus (gonna buy the following) and I'm currently reading Ushio To Tora.
I also found the Karakuri Circus' 17th volume for low price. It really bugged me when I saw it despite this volume is expensive nowadays, so I ordered it and when I received it, it was all wet and damaged.
A partial list of series I care about, in chronological order by latest release:
Natsunokumo (8 volumes)

Umimachi Diary (6 Volumes, ongoing)

Though TWIM was on my list for a long time too... So there's always hope.
>no Moonlight Act new volumes in years
>no U&T reprint ever since first edition 16 years ago
>hopes of Karakuri safely getting completed by Goen ar absymal at best
Seeing everybody not only ignoring Fujita but praising and buying the very worst shonen you can find around is just rubbing salt in the wound.
>Three novels were published between 2004 and 2005 with an additional short piece of writing being included with the OVA. As of 2014, the series has yet to be formally concluded.
>Protagonist that was not a Chunny, or a clueless idiot, just a normal person that wanted to lead a normal life, but still let the curiosity win and fights with everything he has but still needs help
>actual mystery case without anything overnatural other than the excesses of human nature
>Kuudere loyal girl ready to kick some sense for justice
Well maybe one day I will find some manga or anime able to fill the void.
That can't be possible. It's been five years since HotD chapters?
Jesus Christ, in another month I'm a fucking adult in need of employment. Where the hell has half this decade gone?
I am not a native speaker, is 2 AM, I am fairly stupid.
How about "The MC while having to distinguish himself, being the protagonist, tried to mantain the realistic attitude that an average joe would rightly have. ?
oh anon, if only you got into the wondrous world of vidya, you would be accustomed to cockblocking and projects dying.
I wonder what percentage of manga actually gets an English translation. There must be so much that English only anons will never see.
This doesn't even have a release listed on MU, but Adachi's Universe released the first 11 pages back in 2002. That's the oldest dead release I know of: 4591 days ago, if my calculations are correct.
>6 Volumes (Complete)
>11 Volumes (Bunkoban)
Seems backwards, but whatever.
Since you seem to be implying you’re above us lazy fucks surely you must know first-hand how long it takes to get to that point in learning a new language with a completely different writing system where you’d be able to fully get and enjoy the archaic speech patterns and puns used in some of the titles mentioned itt. Fuck your autistic high horse.
Man, I really loved that one, despite shit art.
I was hoping the anime adaptation will revive interest, but then SNK came and fucking ruined everything.
If you like fighting games or early 90s arcade game, sure, I think it's the only manga about that.
It's nothing like misu misou, it's actually pretty comfy.

Foolz dropped it right near the end too
I wish someone finished it already I remember reading it when the first chapter was translated. some strange reason despite the cliche of it I never dropped it
I think the worst types of dead manga are the ones that got talked about more than occasionally and they stop almost close to the last volume case in point.
>12 volumes (complete)
>v 11 c.56
like really come on
this manga about two Virgin priest that exorcise demons using their virgin spirit
I have it in my backlog somewhere but someone was kind enough to translate the third chapter before leaving the readers with boners in their pants
Their demise left this series hanging too, and it had been dead for a while before they released 1 volume.
The boobs were drawn as big and the art style looks a little similar but I'm pretty sure drill jill hasn't made a non-hentai serialization
The first chapter was about the mc getting fired from his company and later in his first exorcise was on some old women in a subway
I follow a few of those.
