It'll be like every other mobage out there. Look at Chain Chronicle for a example, since I imagine it will be formatted in a similar way. Have a party of units, do a series of main story quests while also doing unit-specific quests along the way, get gems/loveca/whatever to do gatcha for a chance at better units, if you have friends you can use one of their units to help you in quests, etc.

This guy does a surprisingly good job of describing the cell phone game experience, though I'm pretty sure that developers are legally not allowed to do the whole get 4-5 separate randomly generated items to combine into one good one to win thing anymore.

Pretty much the main difference between cell phone games is the character brand and maybe a few aesthetics and inputs otherwise just from the trailer it looks like it could easily play exactly like say the Mahouka one. Tap a character have them do an attack, grind it out, wait for energy bar thing to replenish or use an item you have to pay for or is so rare that you have to pay for it eventually anyway to instantly replenish it. Rinse repeat.

I'm surprised it took Type/Moon this long to hop on the cell phone game money train with Fate considering how much they seem to like to milk it.

Nursery Rhyme should have multiple forms when she's in this. The player chooses their favorite genre of literature from like four or five choices and then it chooses form based on that.

If you've seen some of the shit they came up with for Fate/Extra CCC like the final boss dry humping the planet as a noble phantasm you wouldn't be so surprised. Fate has kind of gone full on fan service franchise for a while now and largely abandoned all pretense of being the ultra deep and tightly written character study/struggle narrative Type Moon fans love to claim it is but clearly never was so much as it had the pretense of being.

Most of it's core audience is male so it makes sense they'd continue to gender bend characters into aesthetically pleasing moe designs like this. It's not 2004 anymore like when the first game came out, this is what they pretty well need to do now in order to continue to draw attention, stay relevant and try to grow the brand.
