Does /a/ enjoy Hero Academia? It's not doing anything new, exactly, but it's a well-polished, and most of the characters are likeable.
Do you even go on /a/?
It began a long time ago.
Not them but I started hating BnHA when the first thread I went into (when the first 10 or so chapters were being translated) was FILLED with frog shit and other waifu faggotry.
To be fair, we could do without the daily threads. There's barely been 40 chapters, and a lot of posts get recycled
>Can Eraserhead turn Invisigirl visible?
>Super Venom Chainsaw discussion
>What if Deku's dad is actually Endeavor?
Mostly shitposting, but some people ask that earnestly
>Waifu wars already
>Who'll win the Dekub owl
How is this even a competition, when All Mighthas already won
I like the series, but it doesn't need constant threads. Monday for WSJD, and Thursdays/Weekends for when the spoilers/chinascans/Powermanga release/Fallen Panda release drops.
>I like the series, but it doesn't need constant threads.
I agree. Just one or two threads per week would be enough. We don't want this to turn into SnK or Bleach-central, would we? Or maybe it's already too late.
Well Tokyo ghoul threads have the problem of having exposure to tumblr because of the mutsuki thing and also you know how tumblr is they're drawn to things that they perceive as "dark and sophisticated" like moths.
I've seen it happening in chapter threads too, to be honest though i dont mind it as much as i should i mean its not really shitposting if they post well made pics and act decently right?
Also what are you doing here then?
/a/ needs something to complain about when it comes to any manga unless its the reincarnation of christ or something. Not saying bnha is perfect but its getting a lot of flack for no reason other then being popular.
So, if animals can have quirks, it means you can probably transfer One for All to animal?
>gorilla with One for All
Gorilla is naturally stronger that any bodybuilder. Imagine the potential, it can be Hulk-tier beast.
I'm sure the Gorilla will destroy itself before it could even handle the power.
If current Deku can handle 5% of power without breaking bones, I'm sure any gorilla can handle at least 50% easily. I doubt it will be able to adjust power outcome, but maybe with quirk it will also receive human intellect (like Principal).
Because I like monkeys and apes. Plus if I'm not mistaken DC has supervillain gorilla.
I get the feeling someone sufficiently skilled with close quarter combat could functionally nullify One for All. Of course, in this case, "sufficiently skilled" would mean the person has to be Big Boss or something.
I know this manga is a battle shounen one, but I also want it to be a goofy slice-of-life.
There's nothing stopping the person with One For All being skilled in hand to hand combat too.
Plus once you've got it to All-Might level of usability the user would be capable of moving so fast with such strength that they could tear any normal person in half before they blink, remember that way he took out the entire crowd of villains?
And Spiderman beat the shit out of a herald of galactus solo too, what point are you trying to make?
Plot armour and bullshit writing are something you see alot in neverending comicbook universes.
The flash is clearly being jobbed to make DEATHSTROKE THE TERMINATOR look better because Slade has almost as much plot armour as Batman.
I'm not shitting on you. But the author I suppose.
Like literally there is no way this should happen. I can't even take the Batman vs Flash with prep time seriously just because how fucking overpowered The Flash is.
>he thinks Darkseid's omega beam is still unavoidable
Galactus >>> Darkseid
Power Cosmic >>> Omega Effect
Speedsters got jobbing all the time.
She did something with her weird pheromones but it wasn't clear what, we don't really know what her ability is yet.
The one thing we do know regarding it that it works best when she's naked, and she originally didn't used to wear the body stocking.
This is one of the reasons why I think that power level discussions are stupid. In the end it doesn't matter how much stronger a character is, they're going to lose if the plot demands it. That's why shit like this
happens. It can be total bullshit, but all the arguing over who is stronger than who won't determine who actually wins. That being said though, Slade's win over The Flash is just fucking stupid. While I think powerlevels are trash, I still want to be given a believable reason why X person lost, just making them lose because lolplot is lazy as hell.
>Kids have punny names based on their abilities.
>Only get their quirks after their birth at the age of 2-3
So is there some relation? Do the parents just name them after their powers manifest or do they pray hard their kid gets something along the lines of their names. Would be a huge laugh if some guy with an amazing name has a really shitty power.
In powerlevel debates, all fight take place in abstract place where no plot or character induced stupidity exists. There is a whole set of rules regarding battles between characters from different universes. This is a serious business you know.
I just don't see any value in them though. I guess other people can have their fun, but unless some bullshit like the above example happens I just don't really care who is stronger than who since it doesn't actually matter to the plot.
Galactus sure had some fun in the DC universe.
Its a shame DC and Marvel are so caustic towards each other these days, they would never cooperate in another crossover like all the stuff they did back then.
Does All Might wear a cape with his superhero costume? I'm sure I've seen him with one in some images.
Damn Uraraka, that's cold.
its a sex thing.
Its always a sex thing
because normal people dont need to wear often really stupid or skimpy outfits to fight for justice.
And most have some kind of childhood trauma or other complexes. Its just fitting.
Man, I miss Superior Foes.
>yfw My Hero Academia adaptation
Live-action movie, directed by Joss Whedon
>most of the characters are likeable.
This. Pretty much everyone but fucking Bakugou.
Holy fuck - if the author was going for unlikeable edge dweeb fuccboi, he nailed it.
>at least early on.
>he's becoming more tolerable.
>All those All Might death flags doe.
>I might feel up a storm when and if All Might bites it.
I wonder if Deku subconsciously absorbed some of Kacchan's aggression from hanging out with the dude for so long.
It's only natural to have SOME sort of inner anger/rage from being pretty much bullied his entire life.
I hope to see a more aggressive Deku once he really gets a handle on One for All.
Apparently, I have no idea when and where new chapters are coming out though.
This is seriously the first manga that I've seen where every girl is best girl. I can't decide one whose best girl, whose waifu and whose broteir. Hell, even the girls in class B are fucking great and we know nothing about them.
I actually want Deku to go aggressive after he somehow loses One-for-All in a seemingly permanent manner. Maybe Deku starts to depend on OfA a little too much and he starts to act like a cornered animal when it's gone.
Yeah, Crime Syndicate member Deathstorm removes Cold's powers, Mirror Master tries to get everyone out, mirror gets shattered, everyone tossed in random places.
I haven't been keeping up with the current Flash but I haven't heard great things.
Convergence is doing some fun Flash stuff, Wally and kids are back in Speed Force, for instance.
So that Deku is only the third shortest kid in class A after him and Crowbro.
Well, quirks are inherited either by a closely related quirk, the exact same, or a hybrid of both. So they have like a 25% chance of their name matching their quirk if the parents don't have similar quirks.
For Shouto, whose parents have polar opposites, his name happened to align with his quirk and hit the 25% chance.
Part of it is explained by powers being hereditary, but it doesn't quite make sense. Why did Deku's parents give him a name that's basically "Normal McBoring" if they didn't know he'd be quirkless?
Nitroglycerin is not fuel worthy. Also quirks aren't mass produced. Even genetics are a hit or a miss.
I'm sure minor changes are present, but no major corporation would rise currently.
A lot of people say that about Bakugou but I think after rereading it, you'll find he has a lot of development.
No doubt he was an asshole in school and received only praise for it from adult and friends because of his powerful quirk. Now he's at Yuuei, he's just a hothead with an ego. Openly made fun of by Tsuyu and put in his place by teachers
He still has his temper and foul mouth but just by his match with Uraraka, you can tell he's grown up a lot.
There is weird Twitter author who ships Tapes with Mezou, she (I guess) has decent amount of Hanta, including some lewds (if you into it).
You know, even guys like Tetsutetsu and fucking Noumu have decent amount of good art already. I'm really surprised by the amount of art even secondary characters are getting.
These comics are the best, artstyle is just so good.
You will never hug Copycat ;_;
Which is really nice. I like all the characters, and the secondary ones are just as interesting.
But there is a serious lack of the
secondbest girl. I hope she gets more when she beats Iida
Do Japs have different color perception compared to white people? All, I mean ALL arts or Mindfuck have purple hair. I heard they don't distinguish light-blue and green colors, but this is something else.
I'm 95% sure she will, unless Iida pulls some bullshit. We already know plot armor doesn't exist so it's all in the air.
I wish the translator would use paint.net or some other program instead of ms paint. Ms paint makes the letters look gritty instead of like this.
Deku's quirk is actually to have people fall in love with him
I wonder if she's one of those very rare Japanese Christians
>because she has a crown of thorns and thorny hair
>you know...because of Jesus
He didn't win against Icyhot, he only fueled him for the next fights.I don't count that as plot armor. Plus we just needed a quick intro for Mindfuck, that was the purpose of that fight.
No, power level armor. Deku is just really really stronger than Mindfuck. Do you even read shonen? Hax abilities like mind control or insta-kill only works if enemy as strong as you or slightly stronger, not if he/she tiers above you.
the translation I read only reads:
>I'm so glad the second chance I was given didn't go to waste
nothing about Lord
but I could see her win against Ida, if she's able to entwine him before he outruns her
This Tokoyami overhype is getting ridiculous, he dropped one line and everyone went mad. If his shadow ever goes berserk it would be probably pretty disappointing for a lot of people.
