Theres a key difference between their statements

Naruto was saying he'll be great and everyone will respect/like him.

Souma is saying he'll crush everyone else because he's a dick.

I'm like 80% sure Souma is the villain of the series and once he hits second year and gets an elite 10 seat a super shounen character will appear among the first years and will use his hot bloodedness to defeat the elite 10
