A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-ANGEL
Someone help me out here, there was this one mecha anime about big tittied chicks in slutty suits fighting aliens in space. I cannot for the life of me remember the name but the main character had blue hair and a fat sexy ass, there was a robot loli in a yellow outfit that was also slutty, a dark-skinned christmas cake that ended up getting eaten by one of the monsters, I think I was about 14 at the time and I literally could not stop jerking off to it. If I could find an image it wouldn't be an issue, but I can't so here's Sawaragi instead.

Why I don't know about this.
Closest I know in this genre is Godannar but it doesn't exactly fit your description.

It has to be in here unless it was hentai

Oh, I remember Godannar alright. Where's that gif of the one girl with the big booty when I need it? I could swear I saved it.
>>124393779
Dude, you have just lifted a very heavy weight from my mind. I might download and watch it again for shits and giggles, it was so long ago I can't remember if it was actually good or if it was pretty much all fanservice. Thanks a fucking million, have some ass.
>>124394209
No problem man, it was relevant to my interest. I also watched it a long time ago and I only kinda remember the ED

There was CG mecha, on the same level of stuff you would expect from the PS1 era or earlier.
>>124394209
It's not particularly good. Although the bouncing tits and ED might keep you watching for smidgeon of time, the rest is boring. It's somewhat trippy and the incessant use of technobabble for the sake of describing basic things gets somewhat grating. It was fun to watch the dub however.
Not sure how it received a second season.
Windy Tales, definitely. Although I chalk that up to the nature of the show. There's not much to discuss since it's just a mellow slice-of-life series with some supernatural elements, but it sure does it well. Really nice and relaxing to watch.
>>124394338
>>124394549
I knew there was something special about that ED since the two of you pointed it out specifically. I remember that part in particular giving me the hardest time, the way she flashes her ass and lies on her back with her bare tits in the sun, adolescent me didn't stand a fucking chance.

I found this one day on CR, in the before times when CR was a fansub streaming site. I've found one other person that's heard of this outside of seeing on a list of Nana Mizuki's roles. Solid show. Not great, but funny.
>>124395303
I'd kill for another anime ;_;
Don't feel like listing titles but there's a lot of independent animation that's not even on MAL, including one DVD recently which is out of print and that I got through asking the animator directly by email.
>>124395055
In my first year on /a/ Galaxy Angel was the big thing that everyone posted aside from Azumanga Daioh. I remember trying to get hold of it on dialup and not really getting anywhere.
>>124395120
That show ended up being the one anime that showed up in stores that didn't even carry anime or DVDs. I'm not sure how that happened since I've never seen anyone say they ever bought or watch it. Cheap license?
I saw some guys post Strange Dawn in a nostalgia thread last week - there's definitely been a few people who've posted it in 'anime nobody else has seen' threads in the past few years, but if you're one of the people who only saw it as a young teen, I'd really recommend giving it another look. The themes are fairly surprising for something that got aired on kids morning cartoon slots.

>>124395958
Come on.
>>124396059
I don't know if the original one was ever dubbed. Maybe a small portion of it exists and not the majority. A lot of old anime was lost, most pre-1930s is gone as far as I know, and early TV series were neglected too, even Astro Boy has a few episodes that are lost as of now. I have the Big X DVD box and it's episodes 1 and 2 and then the last 1 or 2 cours of the series. Everything between that is gone (or at least was when that box set was released).
>>124395055

>In a city filled with anthropomorphic cat-people, Catman lives free of rules and boundaries, doing everything he wants, which often collides with the other inhabitants of the city. Catman dares to be bold: it’s made in Flash, which is rarely seen nowadays; there are no spoken dialogue but instead is subbed in Japanese and English and has a original soundtrack made in purpose for the series.

Green Green subbed is mediocre. I would actually recommend watching it dubbed just for how ridiculously idiotic it becomes, to the point where it's laughable. Then again, the characters will all seem completely different when you end up watching the 13th episode subbed.
>>124404640
Alright, that's cool. How many episodes you trying to watch? At most I can probably do six.
>>124404640
Guess I can stick around for a few episodes

Damn right you can. I can't tell you how psyched I am that we're doing this.

Six sounds like plenty. Subbed or dubbed? Either way, it's going to be an experience.
Masterpiece. Depressing as fuck though...
>>124404989
I would like to do dubbed for nostalgia's sake, but if you two prefer subs I won't raise a fuss. Also, I'm looking into Green Green next. I've been aware of it forever but never actually watched it. If there exists a better torrent than this, preferably dual audio, I'd appreciate a link.

Say what you will about Adult Swim, but if there exists a single person on this board that doesn't love whoever approved this anime to be ran on their anime block back in the day they need to be chokeslammed.

Good looking out. This was before the age of BD's, so this tv run probably has all the good stuff in it, doesn't it? Either way I'm downloading this shit. Also, can you enable anonymous posting on your thing or is that not doable?

That's the end of the first episode. Five more to go.

In fact I also came to this thread to post it.

I actually don't know why I never see this mentioned on /a/. It was pretty good.
>>124397904
Mostly because it was all downhill after the first episode.
It's like Serial Experiments Lain, except even more confusing.

And totally boring until the final episode. Show should have been 3 episodes and not 12 or whatever it was.

We gonna get to brown girl's death before the end of the night? I blame that shit for my light guro fetish. I remember wishing I was the ghoul eating her tits and feeling disgusted with myself.
See it pop up every now and again. Probably my favorite series of all time, too.
>>124408052
I think that's in the latter half of the episodes. Nothing particularly bad happens in the first half.
I think the brown girldiesand the Britbongloses her memory, along with the journalistbetraying themall in the second half.
>>124408117
The bait and switch they do in this series contrasted with the ED and promotional art is too hilarious.
It's like a shitty 2000's versions of Madoka with tits and ass

Manga was pretty good, too.

>>124408319
God, why were they hour-long episodes?
The entire series could've been done in 8 regular-length episodes. Instead we get 13 hour-longs.
I'm not counting the 80s version, or the 2004 Imagawa version. The original Tetsujin that wasn't even in color.
>>124408288
I'm pretty sure that aired on American TV at one point. Just because it doesn't get discussion doesn't mean people haven't watched it.
>>124400581
I fucking loved rocket girls. I don't even know why. I've watched it 3 times.
It took its rocket physics fairly seriously, which I appreciated, in spite of being a goofy sol.
/m/'s seen it because they love to make rape jokes about it, and even moreso with the manga because that got even more explicit.
But /a/? Never seen it mentioned
I think people were put off by the slow start, but trust me it picks up.
>>124393053
Nice bait. And next you'll say nobody watched Attack on Titan.

No Character Development: the anime.
It was really well made, with cool powers and a good premise, but the story was plain boring. I tried to watch it actively, but I ended up just stopping and then forgetting I had even stopped.

It had consistently good animation and art.
Rushuna and Yakkun have a really good dynamic.
Despite being a story about trying to find pacifism it doesn't get preachy.
It's a well-made show.

>>124409339
the dvds (I son't know if any rips do) also had, if you're interested, commentary for every episode by Mikako Takahashi and Kazuya Nakai (Rushuna and Yakkun), with other cast members in certain episodes and the director in the finale. If were being perfectly honest here, if you ignore the N64 tier cgi and subpar voice acting it isn't that much worse than the average seasonal fanservice show nowadays. If you go into it expecting it to be as bad as Musashi Gundoh or that show with the fucking quality van, you may actually be pleasantly surprised.
I THOUGHT when this was coming out that I was going to get an anime adaptation of Ishinomori's Skullman that he turned into the original Kamen Rider, just more faithful. Like how the Kikaider OVA was. Plus it was written by the guy behind a few KR series (and MD Geist).
That is not what I got. I'm still not entirely sure what I got.

Just warning you now, the MC of Votoms is literally unkillable and basically goes around the show fighting off armies with just his jacked-up grunt mech
Thers's an in-universe reason for it though which you don't find out until the end of the show, and when you do a lot of past events that seemed like him surviving through plot contrivance will make a lot more sense

Yeah this bothered me, but it's a fairly minor plot point that's only visited in that one episode.
I did find it kinda silly how they never bothered to actually see what was in that particular location until near the end.
Picked up pic related becausemy highschool anime clubshowed it one week and I wanted to know more. Don't remember much of it, besides the jazzy OP.

Chirico doesn't talk much (except in the next episode previews, which you WILL want to watch if you want a better look at his inner thoughts).
But then he's only 18, and more importantly he's severely mentally scarred from PTSD he got from fighting in the war and being tortured for information he didn't have.

Besides, the symbolism is nice cause it's all grounded in real people. He's only playing the part of the devil, he doesn't have to be the devil himself.

Yeah, that was stupid.
>He's only playing the part of the devil, he doesn't have to be the devil himself.
The fact that he shows up mysteriously to Ryu impossibly out of thin air - offering a deal that couldn't even be unreasonably done by human hands - created too much of a contrast with who he actually turned out to be.
>>124408842
I liked nanaka, and here's why: it had a generic tsundere cliche in it, and when she's all being a dick to MC, MC is all "why don't you just fuck off then", and then there's all character development and shit.
>>124412195
Absolutely fantastic. Much appreciated
>>124412281
This was one of the fun points early in the series - you purposely couldn't tell if he was real or some kind of figment of the MC's imagination. I wasn't particularly disappointed that he turned out to be the former rather than the latter.
It was mostly forgettable aside from being based on a Monkey Punch manga and the fact that none of the cars had any wheels. It was never explained why so I just assume it was a bizarre choice made to save money.

He could have been a demon and still real.

Madhouse's last cel animated series. Was originally supposed to be 39 episodes but was cut down to 26. Solid series overall, but a bit slow at times.
Also has a great OST, which I can't find on Youtube so this video will have to suffice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bM0J26C1Uc
Not nearly enough doujinshi of these girls.

I dunno about that. If nothing else it showed his real motives for the first time, and they were good ones.
Fuck this is what I've never gotten from /a/ before.

The scans and translation quality, who fucking knows what the manga is about when you're trying to read duwang shit

I remember seeing the girl in the bottom left in a 3d hentai video once.

Glad you enjoyed it, it's always fun to watch a stream with /a/. Maybe we can watch the rest sometime.
OK some of you faggots already did, but stop posting and read Houshin Engi. Read, don't watch, except the OP.

It was pretty bad honestly. Empty characters, nonsensical story

I remember seeing a preview for the anime on what I think was a Dirty Pair Flash DVD.Yeah, I know, but it was a gift.
fucking loved this show
>>124412772
Really dug this series, need to rewatch it all some time. Great episodic series.

I like this author's stuff, his art and stories are pretty weird for a shonen audience. I also WaqWaq, Sakuratetsu Taiwahen, and his short stories if you haven't read them.
Oh I KNOW everyone here past a certain age has seen the movie.
But how many of you here saw the tv series?it's shit
>>124413045
They used to air that on the Sci-Fi channel, so I'm sure there are plenty that saw it.It triggered my autism with how much it ignored SF canon and made shit up
Still haven't seen this being mentioned
this series, i cant even remember the name
>>124413180
I completely forgot this had an anime.
But then again, I only played Twilight of the Spirits
>>124412914
I was thinking of checking this out because I liked Kindaichi Case Files.

>I'm coming in, Ryu!

Kamisama dolls
And plenty of people on /a/ watched it, faggot
>>124413243
all i remember is that it was a shounen and she was kidnapped a lot
>>124413082
Nigga, I BOUGHT the TV series thinking it was going to be an awesome experience like the movie.
I was mad as hell.
>>124413330
It's funny, I rewatched the movie about a year back and I couldn't help but think "man, I'm glad this came out back in 93, because if it was made now people would call it edgy as fuck".
Thankfully everything about the 90s was edgy, even wrestling, so Ninja Scroll was just par for the course.

This was fucking great. The ending did leave a bit wanting.
