The difference being that Amagami was an adaptation of source material that was not only completed, with concrete endings, but already had its story's divided into multiple routes, each of which was short enough to fit into the span of a few episodes.

Nisekoi is an ongoing manga with a single continuous narrative that simple goes nowhere with its weekly "will they? won't they?" antics.

Some series did this. And the result was? It wasn't very fulfilling. There are good multiple ending, most aren't. The problem is with the flow of the running narration during the story which mostly favor the main girl development. This gave multiple endings felt rather weak and limp. The only way to avoid this is by maintain delicate balance between each girls so when the multiple conclusion came around, it would be very satisfying because of the previous build up. But most of the time, authors were just too lazy to do it and just go with the safest route.

In short: Multiple endings may only works if MC gave a shit on each heroine in equal portions. Otherwise, its suck.

Amagami worked, Yosuga No Sora worked. If this was used in School Days it would work.

This will never work in a linear plot story such as IS, Strawberry 100% and Love Hina.

If Amagami SS is the model for Omnibus format, I can see why most companies don't want to use it. Limiting all character development to 4 episodes was horrible. Especially when 3 of the episodes were just pointless fanservice and the girl venting all her problems at the MC.

And even with the omnibus format, multiple girls got ignored or even bad ends.

In short, come up with a better example of omnibus.
