Well huge part of this episode can be summed up as edgelordery "mature" fanservice filler just like the previous filler episode last week.
A lot of episode could have been better if the flashback was IN ONE PIECE and BEFORE the fight, not hte midfight.
THe episode was emotionally dull as fuck. The atmosphere was not portrayed correctly, Illya/Berserker bond was understated, most of Winter Forest context was missing and most of filler additions non-canon and pointless.
Even Stratos as generic and dull as it is gave me more feels at the end of ep than this. The atmosphere and tension is just...missing. And they made shirou look like idiot in this yet again.
CANT HAVE MONOLOGUES GUYSE. VISUAL MEDIUM YO
HUNDRED OF FLASHBACKS INTERRUPTING THE SCENE IS TOTALLY FINE THO.
Fuck this shit.
>hercules cant use striking hundred heads because he isnt agile enough!
>ballerina flips, fucking triple midair roundhouse kicks
>berserker is angry, so he cant wear his fursuit
Who came up with this shit?
Reminder that Shiki can kill servants, including Gilgamesh.
Oh shit we're all wrong, it's Command Mantra, not Spell nor Seal.
>Shirou screaming internally
Sure, the guy is broken but jesus christ I felt the same way
>archer plants for long at A
>sits at pit waiting to snipe someone off with his awp
>saber rushes in with flashbangs
>archer starts shooting wildly
>saber mows him down with her m4 before he can reload his awp in time
It should be a sin for a saint to have those thighs.
The number of Rinfags will explode, and we will enter a new golden age.
I really hate how they're not portraying Shiro correctly.
This is not what happened in the VN, why are they constantly portraying him as a fucking idiot?
Lack of monologues really hurt this great character.
TV broadcoast required adjustments. Anyone watch the pre-airing notice anything?
Or are they referring to the surgery scene and saving it for the BD's.
Archer would be camping mid doors from T spawn with his broken phantasms.
Wait, RULER class card? I dont remember that in F/A.
Don't get your hopes up, it's not going to be as good as Deen.
I can't believe I wrote that unironically
Are you kidding me? 90% of his monologues are shit in the VN, he's way better without them. Ufotable actually made him way more tolerable and cut away all the unnecessary stuff he had in the VN.
Shirou isn't that good of a character and while Nasu had a good concept of him, the execution was terrible. Ufotable made him closer to how Nasu wanted to portray him in the VN but failed to.
Yes I did
Also these fucking captchas, I don't want to train Skynet
Even if they have it animated, it will still be worse than deen, since Illya is dead, and the Dr. Gil scene worked so well because she was still alive and he ripped her heart out.
If Shirou had been portrayed like Nasu wanted to do he would have been awful. Great things sometimes comes from mistakes. This is the reason why Nasu never will be able to match the quality of F/SN as it was just a fluke.
>takes literally thousands of lines of dialogue to realize the most basic superman dilemma
I don't care if he's distorted, people who think that tedious shit is good drama or writing are fucking crazy. Thankfully the other stuff in the VN is pretty cool.
>Sumika worst girl
>Lost all his development
>He is a faggot
Anon-kun, you don't have remedy? Don't you?
>Berserker is the strongest.png
>Gil genuinely shitting his pants
Thank you ufotable. You have given me salvation.
It always comes down to Shirou and Rin.
>they save the heart surgery for the BD
>The death scene had absolutely no impact or build up.
>Most of atmosphere and tension is missing in this adaptation.
>If not for VN I would have felt jack shit here.
>I am not surprised most of neogaf hated the prescreening.
>mfw get spoil about an animu in other animu thread
It's not the ninja meido right?
Nah, this is the first time mentioning this. I get that his drama comes from him not valuing his own life, but it's just too damn tedious to read at times. Stuff like Archer vs. Shirou where it all comes to a head is great, but then you remember having to sit through a dozen hours of Shirou's bullshit to get there.
You wouldn't fuck a sword, would you?
I'm sorry, I can't help it. The MAL posts just make me laugh so hard and I want to share them
The drama comes from having his origin changed to a sword being a magical zombie destined to die alone or self-destruct before he gets there.
More people need to get into KnK and stop bitching about plot points they didn't understand.
>gil getting butt-flustered when berserker tries to crush his head off
the fact that people unironcally like getting ham-handed massive amounts of suffering and edge from such a shit character that is Gil is beyond me. This series is just suffering for suffering sake and it's getting kind of pathetic. "Shit what can we do to make this guy evil? Um he KILLS CHILDREN" " Doesn't caster kill like 20?" "Oh he kills a MAIN character child"
Gilgamesh is like having Kirito as an antagonist. Boring, uninspired, and unlikable
The same thing any of us want by posting here.
None of it matters, but people enjoy discussing shows that they watch. They especially enjoy discussing the negative aspects of it.
Easy to use + Gaia retards = Over-polluted cesspit
That's why everything should be convenient only to a degree.
Look at Dwarf Fortress : It's hard to understand how most of the systems work and the GUI is a mess but once you spend about two or three days learning how to work it you realize it couldn't be set up in a better way.
It's hard to handle meaning less normalfags and retards can muck it up which is why the DF community is bearable.
MAL is a good site but it's too convenient meaning normalfags and retards have an easier time using it so they nest there like droves of rats.
Can't argue those points.
I only like him in Carnival Phantasm. Him retaining his personality in a setting where nothing bad can happen
unless you're Lancerworked surprisingly well for me
So many people seem to have just read the DEEN version, and thought that's what happened here for some reason.
Everyone just seems to abide by DEEN's comedic take on the scene when this is more correct. Even you thought that's what happened it seems.
It's suffering or edge, it's cruel but it provides a lot of insight into both of their characters and shows their strength in a way that hadn't been seen before in the novel. Ilya thought of Berserker like her father, he reminded her of Kerry and how she used to ride on his shoulders. Berserker even thought her words were cruel to him, he realized he was the only one she talked to, he thought of her like a daughter as well, and wished to help her even in his maddened state. They did care about each other. It wasn't enough to save them, but Berserker was able to create a miracle in the end while trying.
>Going to heaven
Since they're on bad terms with the church, it's doubtful that they're baptized.
Except the stuff his written that's better than fate.
People complain that Shirou is a good concept executed poorly.
This really should clue you in that you're dealing with two groups of people here: one that read the book and understood what was going on and one that keeps complaining about how the author didn't spoonfeed them hard enough.
>Sieg DRAGON DICKs this
Wating for HF, UBW is edgy tips fedora shit.
>there will never be a older big boobed Illya
Thank you based Acht.
>playing decade old shoestring budget powerpoint eroge to get pointless details from a hack writer hack writer hack writer hack mollusk writer
"Yes, let me read through this 2000 page book to find one paragraph, instead of using a wiki"
They have another ten episodes to go or so, and you're expecting them to rush through this. Frankly if they don't take it at an even pace they won't fill it correctly. It's been three episodes and they've already done the Berserker fight, which is pretty paced still. They cut this off at a moment of climax for the secondaries, while still not taking away from the feeling of this episode. This is important, they kept the "You're strong", but the real cruelty is next week without taking away from the meaning of the strength in the face of cruelty in this episode. Ilya passed away peacefully beside her giant, no the DEEN version isn't correct, she went to sleep and never woke up again right beside her stand in father. Gilgamesh then molests the body after death.
For an entire week they'll be wondering "How will Shirou save her?" like this dumbass. That's more than worth it.
Because they cut it off right at that critical moment without showing beyond it, people will tune in even harder for next week. Realize how Ufotable's version is a lot smarter than your version in terms of viewership.
