He's actually a live-action actor with a kabuki background (been a background hand since two years old because thanks to his father). People from other industries (3DPD actors, idols, gravure models, theater actors etc.) doing one random role and then disappearing isn't anything special.

At some point after finishing the series, I happened to listen his guest episode on Fujiwara de ii Kana (Aniplex's web radio with Fujiwara Keiji and Asumia Kana) where he discussed the role and made a small kabuki performance with the drum. At that point I realized he must have done the kabuki voices/sounds for the scene around the midpoint of the anime and being able to know that fact felt somehow extremely amusing.
