>MC is a moralfag who makes a big deal about killing people
>MC is intelligent, nihilistic and with a wicked sense of humor
>MC is a moralfag who makes a big deal about killing people
This is true sometimes
>MC is an edgelord who doesn't make a big deal about killing people
This is also true sometimes.
>OP is a faggot
This is true always
>MC Is really stupid and a piece of shit who only cares about titties and ass
I like that the creater of trigun forced him into a situation where he had to choose, rather than just being preachy about it and creating convenient situations where he can fight at such brutal opponents without having to pop one in the head.
I don't mind peaceful solutions, but its silly to think people can fight at the high levels that anime characters tend to without killing each other.
>main heroine is a pink twintails tsundere
As long as its not a defining personality trait I don't care, but when every fight with a serial killer/rapist ends in a tea party and hugs, it ruins the immersion and any seriousness previously established.
>MC accepts that they will have to kill people to stop the enemy while still have a healthy amount of guilt over the fact it has to be that way and not letting it interfere with their goals
>antagonist is intelligent, nihilistic and has a wicked sense of humor
It is. At least he'll have priority.
>To move the plan A to B, then person X and needs to be eliminated. Nothing personal
>Z person betrayed him. Execute him in front of the masses to set an example
>Y person is a foot soldier of opposing army in an all-out war. Kill him just fine.
Yes, it does. There's nothing interesting about a MC who has a rigidly defined moral code and never struggles to figure out what may be right in any given situation. There is something captivating about a character who occasionally does something morally wrong.
>MC is a genius
>the rest of the cast are bumbling idiots to show just how much of a genius the MC is
Lol. Just jumped on /a/ to start one of these threads.
>I... I JUST WANT TO BECOME STRONGER TO HELP OTHERS!!!! ;_;
Ugh, jesus fucking christ. I mean, I get the whole morally ideal hero concept, and I wouldn't want to see anime become one giant parade of remorseless edgelords, but it still feels really cheesy and fake most of the time.
MC is the only one who can save the planet from an unspeakable evil that is hell bent on destroying all good for incomprehensible reasons.
>Everything the MC does is morally justifiable
>Everything the antagonist does no matter how well intentioned is evil.
This is why I like the "he was the good guy all along" stories they can be flipped upside down and everyone can see the good in the antagonist.
>it is implied early on that MC's unique power might possibly be the very strongest of all the powers in the world. (Gosh, I wonder if it's true)
>the badguy is a gleeful, sadistic, shrieking psycho for no real reason. (There were like 5 or 6 of these characters in Tokyo Ghoul. Good night.)
>the badguy takes a hostage and lures MC and pals to some irrelevant but scenic location where a showdown takes place
>MC cannot tell girls are in pove with him
> Mc is strong but lets himself get beaten up by weaker annoying female characters
>If its in the middle of war, then its acceptable.
Tell it to people who arrested Zimmerman and Wilson. We're in the middle of the race war and the Jews are trying their hardest to make the whites lose.
It's better if the hero(ine) shows more of a selfish side and fights to protect a single person that is significant to him/her. Is more relatable and it doesn't come out as an altruistic faggot.
but then it bites him in the ass with legato
and he has the excuse of not being human to explain why he has such an insane outlook
not to mention he isn't the TRULY obnixious type that outright prevents other people like wolfwood from killing all the time, he'll try to avoid fights but sometimes wolfwood totally kills some dudes and all vash has to live with it
Depends on the vash you are referring to, Manga Vash is vastly superior to anime Vash, there was one part where he pounced on a fallen enemy and bitched him into staying out the remainder of the fight, he can be very intimidating when he wants to be.
please don't bully your antinatalist bretheren.
>he dies 5 minutes later anyway
Thats why I hate this shit, on one hand they want to keep the mcs from being murderers, but they also know they can't save/reform every bad guy so they pull shit like that, like how toriyama used vegeta to get rid of most of the bad guys on namek so Goku coulds kick ass but still keep his hands clean.
>MC makes a big deal about killing people
>Won't even kill the villain even though the lives of even more innocents are in stake
>Will actually save the villain if he's in danger
They've reset the world so many times now I really wish they would just fucking kill the joker. Make him like Kenny and see how many times and in how many different ways you can kill the mad clown before the world resets.
well if that person is going to kill more people if you dont kill them then you are an accessory; thats literally how the law works; if you know and dont say anything, you can be charged
doesn't work that way in comics (cape) and anime mainly because recurring villians are more commercially viable or something
>MC goes into a fit of rage after losing someone important to him
>Powerup only happens once in the entire show and never brought up again
>MC comes across large amount of money or treasure
>somehow lose it before end of episode
Despite people using mecha as a prime example of this, Tomino usually has his protags be fine with it a ways in. Hell, in his least violent show, Loran hesitates to shoot down an enemy on the moon for half a second, tops.
>MC is an edgemaster who makes a big deal about killing people
>MC can't stop fapping about justice and he insists on his status as a loser no matter what he does
>everyone else is as edgy as possible
>MC has harem
>his fetishes revolve around how his chidhood friend looks
>about to be confessed to by the childhood friend
>random tsundere shoots her with
>cant fap afterwards
Here you go, a guide to knowing a shitty MC.
(Protip: just about every MC is shit)
That's because Japan has a really hard time grasping the concept of being subtle and go for extremes rather than the more interesting middle ground.
Not that there aren't exceptions.
am i the only one who vehemently hates the raildex series
>MC makes a big deal about killing humans but murders other species without a second thought
