Five days from Silesia the group reaches LeitMeritz. Four people greet them and one is them is the bald knight Rurick. Last year Tigre asked Rurick if it's time for him to grow back his hair yet but Rurick replied that he thought about it but there are close girls who prefer him this way. FYI there are four of such girls.
Ellen immediately tells Rurick to gather 2000 cavalry to sortie, and at the same time ask for new information regarding the situation. Unfortunately LeitMeritz is situated too far away to get any information.

Standing in front of the gathered 2000 cavalry was Ellen and Lim. This is a foreign war, but Ellen wanted to make this war personal for the soldiers in front of them so they won't hesitate when the time comes. In her battle speech ellen explains that if Sachstein beats Brune and become their, LeitMeritz, neighbor then they will never know peace. Sachstein's current king Augustus is infamous for his ambition and desire to conquer all neighboring land. LeitMeritz which is right next to Brune would be the first target after Brune is conquered. With the troops riled up, 2000 cavalry start matching towards the Vosyes Mountains.

A few days after they left LeitMeritz, they have exceeded the Vosyes Mountains. Ellen was in a very good mood because Regin kept her promise and helped build and maintain the new highway. It was because of this that they were able to proceed so smoothly and quickly. While the troops take a few hours of rest right outside of the mountains, Tigre and Titta on a single ride out. Past the forest in front of them was the town of Celestia, Tigre and Titta's hometown.

Both of them say their 'we're home' and watch the view while being absorbed in their thoughts. For Tigre, it's been a year since he last set foot in his hometown. Though he came back after the civil war was over, it was only very briefly before he had to set off to Zchted to fulfill his contract. Now normally in this situation their army should set off straight to the capital of Brune, Nice, but ellen and Lim planned their route in such a way that they could stop by Celestia for a day. In addition it was done in a way that didn't hinder their schedule. tigre thanks them in his heart. After a while they start riding back to the camp. Tomorrow they will come back to Celestia.

Oh I forgot, before they ride off Titta tells Tigre that she will follow him to whereever no matter what and he thanks her. He holds her hand as they ride back to the camp.

The next day the army arrives at Celestia. As usual Titta is riding behind Tigre on the same horse. Seeing Tigre's arrival, the town is very lively and energetic. From the young to old everybody is waving and calling our for their young lord's return. Ellen teases him saying that he's very loved by his people and Tigre shyly replies back that even though he was a lord who left his lands. Hearing this Titta reproves him while embracing tightly from behind. Tigre apologizes but Ellen thought it was interesting so she grants Titta permission to continue on. With no choice, Tigre had to ride into town with Titta hugging him behind.
Past the gate there was atleast two to three thousand civilians waiting for him. After lightly greeting his people, a man steps in front. Around thrity years old, this man was named Elbain. He is the magistrate appointed by Regin to watch over Alsace, Tigre's land, during his absence. Tigre and Elbain warmly greet each other. Though Elbain was suspicious of the foreign army behind Tigre, Tigre assures him that they are their allies. Elbain apologizes and informs him that he was able to gather together sixty men who will join their fight.

That night there was a feast in Celestia. Though it was mostly for Tigre's return, it also serves as a feast for the two thousand Zchted troops who will help them fight, and the sixty Alsace men who will be heading out to fight.

The people sing and dance and drank. It was a festive atmosphere and even Lim couldn't refuse the Alsace who pressed her to drink. As the clear moon shine brightly on the night sky, the feast slowly comes to an end. With the feast over, Tigre and Ellen slip out of town and sat together on a meadow.Even though it was spring, the nights were cold but Ellen's dragon tool protected them from the cold.
ellen remarks that she hasn't had such a fun feast in a while. Tigre notes her face was red, mostly likely from the alcohol. His own face wasn't red but on breathe there was no doubt the smell of alcohol. During the feast Tigre could not accompany Ellen, he had to prioritize his people first and Ellen understood that. Ellen tells him that it wasn't an empty complaint, making foreign troops feel welcome even with a feast was no small task. As if to protect herself from the night chills, Ellen leans her body to Tigre. Tigre doing the same thing, closes his body with ellen.
Ellen remarks that hometowns were great. Seeing this as opportunity to ask what he always wanted to ask, Tigre asks what is Ellen's hometown.
She explains to him that she doesn't know. She was born as an orphan and picked up and raised by a mercenary group. Even though she asked around in the mercenary group where they found her, everyone gave a different answer so she gave up finding out. Mercenaries are always on the move, they don't stay in one place for too long unless it is for a fight. She tells him that though LeitMeritz welcomes her, she doesn't feel as if it is her hometown. She has only spent four years as a vanadis, the rest of her life was with the mercenary group.

Tigre couldn't help but notice her words trail off at the end. At some point, Ellen will no longer be a vanadis, when that time comes what will happen to her he thought. Will she live in Leitmeritz? Or will she travel around with no destination in mind?

As if she knew what he wanted to say, Ellen changed the topic by asking where he plans to go tomorrow with the army. He tells her that he wants them to head to Territorie. During the festival Tigre chatted with Elbain and found out Marthus Rodante was around there. Though a majority of the information regarding the war don't reach Alsace, Elbain tells him that several days ago Marthus came to Celestia with a few hundred troops and told Elbain he was heading to Territorie. This could only mean that Marthus knew Tigre was going to come back to Brune and head to Alsace.

And once again as if the topic suddenly appeared in her mind, Ellen changes the topic by asking what Tigre plans to do about marrying. Tigre stares up at the stars. At the feast the village leaders and Elbain also had asked Tigre that question. Ellen must have overheard it there.
Tigre was 18 years old. It was high time that he gets married. In Brune and Zchted, there were aristocrats who get betrothals as early as the age of ten. There were families who even promised betrothals before the children were born.
Even though Tigre was a count, his territory was small and also far away from the capital. Because of this he postponed talks about marriage. If his father was still alive this might have been fine but it is time that Tigre had to seriously think about leaving a heir.

Ellen tells him that the worries of the village leaders were just, last year he had disappeared from the battlefield and the year before that he became a guest general in a foreign land, making his land a land without a landlord. Though there has been no negative effects on Alsace so far, they can't help but feel unease that there is no heir.
If Tigre dies, the Vorn family will perish. When that happens, the titles that belong to the family will go back to the royal family who can distribute them as they see fit. Even though Elbain was a good magistrate who didn't damage Alsace, there is no telling that it wouldn't the case next time. Alsace could go to someone who already has other land so they would neglect Alsace or even exploit it, etc. The people are right to feel unease.
Tigre agrees with her. Even his father taught him that it is an extremely important duty of an aristocrat to continue the bloodline.

This was before they left LeitMeritz to go the capital to celebrate the new years. When Tigre returned to LeitMeritz from Lebus, ellen and Lim had handed off a large bag letters to Tigre. It was right about when Tigre thought about visiting Alsace that Gerald came with the letters. They were mostly letters from Brune nobles who wanted Tigre to visit and meet their daughters etc. It Tigre five days to process all of them and by the end he had a headache. He diplomatically processed them all without insulting anyone but secretly deep down inside he thought the whole thing was annoying as hell.
Tigre replied that it will take time plus he wanted to consult it over with Earl Marthus and Viscount Augre, and talk it over with the queen.
Ellen replies back who knows how long that will all take and ask him what about Titta. She is his attendant so it is possible to continue the bloodline using her.
Tigre replies that he never thought of her as an option. He begins thinking, if he makes a child with Titta then the crisis of the family will be averted. In time he could make her as his legitimate wife, but in the time being she would his concubine and her children would be bastards.
Tigre's head starts hurting. Even though he was an aristocrat, he had never seriously thought about marriage. He had many reasons.
Before the beginning of the civil war, Tigre had never thought his life was in danger. He had only been in the battlefield one other time before and that time he was with his father. Maybe because he riding alongside his father, he never felt he could die.
In addition, the people around him never talked to him about marriage. Even when his father died, the people of Alsace, who should had pressed Tigre for a heir never did.

Ellen explains that being vanadis is limited to one generation, in addition they don't know when they will stop being a vanadis. When Tigre asks about marriage, she explains that vanadis can marry normally. There were those who while still being a vanadis mother a child, like for example Mira's mother and grandmother. She also explains that marrying a vanadis for political power is difficult since as soon as they stop being a vanadis they return to who they were and in most cases thats a commoner. She explains that she herself was born in a mercenary group and even Mira's family were commoners. Sophie's father was a knight. Sasha was born in a small village. Liza and Valentina are the only two born from an aristocrat family. She doesn't know how Olga was born so Tigre explains Olga was a daughter of a tribal leader of steppe nomads.
Ellen continues and explains that vanadis marriages are even easier than aristocrats. The husband of a vanadis has to work in the palace of the vanadis. but on the flip side that also means anyone who is capable of working in the palace can be the husband of a vanadis.
Ellen laughs and finishes that in the end she doesn't care who is the next vanadis following her since her dragon tool decides that and it replies back with a light breeze.
Returning back to the topic, she explains that while she doesn't mean wandering around after being a vanadis, she doesn't want Lim to go to waste. To that Tigre tells her that he will think about it.
Of course Tigre does not dislike Lim. However he doesn't want one sidely decide this without consorting Lim.
The next morning, the townspeople of Celestia watch the 2000 LeitMeritz cavalry with the addition of the 60 men from alsace leave.

Three days later near Territorie, Tigre merged with Marthus's forces. They exchange greetings. The last Marthus saw Tigre was around ten days before the new years festival started. After Marthus recieved a promise from king victor that Tigre will return to Brune after the festival, Marthus headed straight back to Brune. After greeting Ellen and understanding that Victor had send her and 2000 men as allies, Marthus greeted Lim and Titta. They had formed a close bond from the time they had traveled together to Lebus.
Marthus had 3000 troops with him. Around 500 were his personal troops, the rest were from other neighboring aristocrats. Tigre thought Hughes or Gerald would be in Territore but that wasn't the case, according to Marthus both of them were at the capital Nice.
Someone next to Marthus called out to Tigre. Why it was none other than Casper, Tigre's childhood friend who he grew up with and also Marthus's second son. Marthus introduces Casper to Ellen and Lim. Marthus's first son, as in his heir, Yurpan, is watching over the family territory in their absence. In the Brune civil war one year ago neither Casper or Yurpan participated. Marthus was greatly upset by this since he wanted them to gain experiences.
Leaving the command of the Leitmetriz troops to Rurick, Tigre Ellen and Lim head off the head command tent.
Inside there were already many aristocrats.Marthus introduces Ellen to the aristocrats and although they greeted her, the feeling of doubt could not be wiped from their face. Why is Zchted troops here. They also turn their doubts toward Tigre who had brought them here. Marthus unfolds a map and explains the present situation.

During the new years festival, 20,000 Sachstein troops landed south of Brune. They took over the port towns and slowly marched north. queen Regin then ordered the knight orders and aristocrats at the south to subjugate them.
Now around ten days ago, troops from Sachstein appeared at the west of Brune. This time it was 50,000 troops. From here on, the southern sachstein army started moving backwards while the western sachstein army started moving towards the capital Nice. The knight orders and western aristocrats tried to repel the enemy army but as far as Marthus knew, they fought twice and the Brune armies lost both of them.
Tigre groans. So Sachstein first attacked from the south to draw attention while their real army comes in from the west. Ellen asks who else besides Marthus's 3000 troops are heading to the south.
Marthus answers that facing south was the Lutece Knights and Earl Bluleck who commands the gathered aristocrat forces. Together they total 10,000. Though it's half the forces of the southern enemy army, it has kept them in check for the time being. Tigre doesn't know who Bluleck is but was relieved at hearing the name Lutece Knights. Two years ago during the civil war the Lutece Knights led by Shaie helped Tigre repel the Muozinel forces and then followed Tigre's command for the rest of the campaign.
Marthus asks Tigre where they should head to, west or south. Tigre replies they will go south. Faced against 50,000 or 20,000 with 5000, the lesser choice should be only option. Also in terms of distance the south is closer from here. Ellen comments that with the forces combined they would have 15,000. They will leave the west to the people in the west while they crush the south.
Next to Ellen was Lim. Lim was busy staring at the map with a look of uncertainty. Hearing the current situation, there were a few weird points.

By chance Tigre and Lim draw eye contract. The usually unfriendly face of Lim drew a smile looking at her student who wanted to ask her a question. Lim shakes her head, she wants Tigre to figure out whats wrong by himself. Tigre scratches his head, he couldn't figure it out. Silently Lim points towards the southern port towns. Wide eyed Tigre figured it out.
There three major port towns at the south and they all fell to the enemy in a single day. When asked about it, Marthus tells them that there is a very high possibility the port towns have betrayed them. When the Sachstein armies invaded none of the three major port towns sent any messengers about it. The merchants there apparently are assisting the enemy armies. Thanks to them the news of Sachstein invading came late. The southern Sachstein army has been in the country for atleast twenty days, yet there was no signs that they had pillaged any towns or villages.
An army 20,000 needs food and fuel. Yet there was no signs that they took any from the towns and villages. The towns and villages also surrendered with no resistance. From this reasoning Marthus believes they are working together with the enemy army. Tigre shakes his head, there must be some other reason Marthus believes the port towns betrayed Brune but it won't press any further here.
Ellen comments that depending on the situation this may be harder than fighting 50,000 troops.
Changing topic, Tigre asks Marthus if the queen was safe. He explains that the queen is currently in the capital where all the troops are gathering so there should be no worries there. Marthus then asks ellen about Zchted. Ellen explains that as a sign of friendship king victor sent ellen and 2000 troops to aid brune. In addition there is a seperate detachment led by the vanadis valentina who will ship to the north of brune. Ellen explains although valentina said all the right words, there was no evidence she will back any of them.

Since Valentina is coming by ship from far away, there was no telling when she will arrive. In addition the leading commander, Valentina had a weak body. Marthus brushes the issue aside and states that just having Ellen's forces was good enough. He also tells Tigre that he plans on making him the supreme commander of this united force. He explains that even Sachstein knows Tigre's name.

After the meeting ends, Tigre ellen and Lim remain inside the tent with Marthus. Marthus uses some excuse to keep ellen and lim there. Once the four of them are alone, Marthus asks if Tigre heard of a woman named Melisandre.
Marthus explains that she was the widow of duke Thenardier. He continues explaining that Regin had sent Melisandre to a shrine in Nemetacum. Nemetacum is situated in the southern Brune. Regin had hoped Melisandre would spend the rest of her days quietly. Nemetacum used to belong to the Thenadier house so the title was seized by the royal family. A magistrate appointed by Regin is currently in charge of it. Marthus tells them that there is a high possibility Melisandre had summoned the Sachstein army and also told the southern port towns to work with them.
After sighing, Marthus explains that although it didn't need to be repeated, the late duke Thenadier held alot of power. The southern part of Brune including Nemetacum were pretty much his own personal land. He had connections with the people in power in the southern port towns. In fact when Muozinel invaded by sea the duke himself lead the armies to protect the ports.
Marthus goes on to say that when he looked into it, when the sachstein army arrived and moved north, they aimed at Nemetacum first. Not only that but they received food and supplies from Nemetacum.
Tigre counters that the magistrate of Nemetacum was personally appointed by the queen.

Ellen comments that so their enemy was not only Sachstein but most likely Nemetacum and the port towns. She then asks for the location of Melisande. Marthus tells her that she is currently under house arrest in Nice. Ellen thinks about it and draws to the conclusion that Melisande wants to become the new queen using Sachstein. Marthus says that the prime minister Badowin had also come to the same conclusion. Marthus says they should think of this situation as the enemy using Nemetacum as a center to draw in rebel support against the queen.
Now Tigre understands why Marthus doesn't want to mention Melisande in front of the others. If all the allegations were true, then Brune would end in a real civil war.
Inside Tigre's heart there was a strong desire to protect queen regin. To strengthen his resolves, he declares to marthus that regardless of what is what, the appearance of zchted forces should have been outside of melisande and sachstein's calculations. Two years Ellen had saved Tigre and he believes as soon as Ellen is around he will never lose.
As if to hide her embarrassment, ellen laughs and hits Tigre's back. But Lim sees through this and critcizes Tigre saying he shouldn't let Ellen spoil him so much. Ellen counters back saying Lim was the one who along with Titta spoiled Tigre during the new years festival by supporting him the whole time. In addition when no one was looking Lim would feed food to Tigre (aka say aahh).
Laughter and jokes around and then Marthus asks them for more information about Valentina who he has pretty much no data on.

Ellen doesn't really know anything so Lim explains it. She explains how Valentina in the past her weak body made her give out command lates and also made her likely to withdraw her forces from the battle. She also tells Marthus that Valentina rules Osterode which is in the north eastern part of Zchted. If any of the other aristocrats knew about these information then it would bring the morale down so they decide to keep this to themselves. It was decided that Valentina is unreliable to include for their plans.
Marthus comments that he thought all vanadis were brave fighters but everything must have an exception. Ellen comments that or atleast there are vanadis who pretend to be brave fighters which she was told by sophie. Tigre comments that he doesn't really want Valentina to have a chance to appear on stage and hopes to end this war with sachstein as soon as possible. Afterwards they call for Titta and enjoyed pleasant conversations while celebrating Tigre's return to his home country.

Casper then asks if Tigre had find any lovely ladies during his one year stay in Zchted. Seeing Tigre's reaction, Casper pinpoints it to being Lim. And then even closer until Marthus can whisper into Tigre's ears. Marthus cautions him not to make too big of a reaction as he tells him that Durandel has been stolen. Even though he was warned Tigre still almost raised his voice, it was that shocking.
When he ask who could've stole it, Marthus tells him it could have been only Melisande. Tigre asks Marthus to clarify why he thinks it was Melisande. After a little, Marthus began speaking.

The feast was splendid and rich. It was because Brune had trade connections with three different countries. Brune continues to trade with Muozinel by sea. Following a year of discord and war was a year of peace. There were people who scuffed at the oracle that forced Regin to raised as a prince. However even those people couldn't help but admit Regin's abilities as a ruler right now. Above all Regin was the previous king's only child.
At the end of the hall next to the throne was Brune's sacred sword, Durandel. Most people do not know this sword was a counterfeit.
In order to avoid anything happening, people had to take turns and wait for their turn to greet the queen. Next to her is her two personal guards. Marthus is also watching from a short distance away. Viscount Augres and his son Gerald should also be somewhere in the hall. It's only been a few days since there was an attempted assassination on the queen.
And so the days proceeds festively and normally. and then it was a certain aristocrat's turn to greet the queen.
She was around thirty of age with long blonde hair tied up. Her beautiful body is decorated with jewels and a gorgeous dress. The one thing standing most out about her was the silver bracelet with a large jewel wrapped around her left arm. Marthus hasten to walk up near the queen to hear their conversation. Melisandre somewhat rudely and politely greets the queen. Regin pays no mind and greets her back politely. It was none other than Regin who summoned Melisande to the capital. If she hadn't summoned her she wouldn't have been able to go outside of the shrine she was sent to. Regin had two reasons for summoning her.
The first was that she was the figurehead of the anti regin faction so wanted to keep those aristocrats in check by having melisande in the capital.
The second was to observe what melisande will do.
Regin smiles and asks what does she want from her. Melisande replies back that was something was troubling her, namely if the sword next to throne was really durandel. At once the hall quiets down as everyone focuses on the two.
Melisandre continues that the durandel she had seen before was blacker. Marthus starts feeling anger, he wasn't expecting her to make her move so fast. Several aristocrats immediately start agreeing and voicing their opinion. Aristocrats who truly do not know what is going on could only stare. Regin pretends she doesn't know Melisandre means and says that it is Durandel.
Erasing her smile, Melisandre explodes with anger and points at the queen claiming that she's lying and asks for the whereabouts of the real Durandel. Even though Melisande currently held no power, these were words that can not be ignored.
Regin coldly asks if she has any evidence that that sword is a fake. As if waiting for those words, Melisandre laughs and says there is a simple way to proof it. Take Durandel and try to cut the floor with it. If it is real it would easily slice through the floor but if it is a fake then the blade would break. Hughes Augre steps forward and trys to calm her down but she ignores him and asks if she couldn't do it.
Regin coldly answers if she would have Durandel be used for such a trifling matter and that if she is ashamed to even suggest that as a person with the royal blood of Brune in her veins.

Then a man steps forward announcing support for Melisande's plan. This man was Viscount Arman, a man landed at the south. He was well built and is known to be a brave leader who leads fights in the front with a two hand great sword. He explains that Melisande's arguments were just and in order to avoid misforgivings during the celebration of the new year they should settle these rumors right here.
Marthus angry, notes that Arman was an aristocrat who declared neutrality during the civil war last year. however he was secretly aiding Thenardier. He believes that Arman is in cahoots with Melisandre.
Stepping forward to challenge Arman was Gerald. Using sarcasm, he suggests Arman was the one to stole it and that to prove whether or not Durandel is real they should test it on his neck. Regin angrily reprimands Gerald. Annoyed, Arman walks away. And starts heading to Durandel. Regin shouts at him but it was too late, no one could stop him in time.
With both hands Arman raises Durandel above his head and slashes at the floor. A glare shines around the hall as the blade of Durandel bounces off of the floor. Arman triumphantly announced that the blade broke. Melisande grieves that Durandel had broken. Silently with her two guards Regin walk to her throne. Regin in front of everyone apologizes to them. As the hall quiets down, Arman with his job done walks back down and stands next to Melisande with a happy face. Regin announces that as Melisande stated and Arman shown, this sword was not Durandel. The aristocrat one after another then asks what happened to the real Durandel. Melisandre and Arman didn't say anything but only watched Regin struggle with smiles of victory on their face.

Regin announces that the other day the palace was invaded for two purposes, one was for her life and the other was for Durandel. Regin silences the noisy hall with her hand. hughes and Gerald silently move behind Melisandre and Arman with no one noticing.
Regin explains that thanks to her guards she is standing before them. however as a precaution she had hidden Durandel away. As if on cue, Badowin with two soldiers exits and returns to the hall. The two soldiers were holding a sword inside a black sheath. They take the sword out and rose it above the heads. Regin declares that this was the real Durandel. She apologizes that she can not let them gaze upon the sword, it was due to her shortcomings however she wants to make it clear that the holy sword is protected by them. After she finishes, the soldiers return the sword to it sheath and brings it back to the room. The hall was silent, even Melisandre and Arman was speechless. coldly in a single motion, Regin had the two of them thrown out. Inside that hall there was no longer anyone looking at the young queen with disapproving eyes.

There are currently very few people who can tell the real Durandel from a fake. Furthermore in the recent years the only people to actually touch the blade was the deceased Roland and Tigre.
And after the rebellion ended, Durandel was placed near the throne and no one was allowed to get close to it to carefully examine it. When Tigre asked Marthus if it was Badowin's idea to let no one carefully examine Durandel, he tells him it was Regin's idea. This answer surprised Tigre. Though he had heard from Marthus and Gerald that Regin was a good ruler, he didn't know Regin was so crafty.
But thinking deeply, Tigre remembered when he first met Regin and she tested him with a towel.
Tigre comments that Arman's bold actions meant they had to be convinced that it was a fake Durandel. Tigre starts thinking: steal Durandel and then call in Sachstein. If they wanted to raise a rebellion, then the new years festival would be the perfect timing because all the aristocrats would be gathered at the capital. However he wondered why Melisandre herself had to raise her voice. She could've left someone else do her role. there must be another purpose to this.
After confirming that Melisandre was indeed locked up in Nice with no visitation granted, they look towards the map at Nemetacum. Marthus cautions to Tigre that the two of them are the only ones who know about the situation regarding Durandel in this army.
Next morning, the 5000 united forces of Zchted and Brune marches toward the south.

Honestly, that's not a good move for Tigre, this volume raises the problem that he does need to marry soon to produce a heir, and so he can't wait for Ellen to lose her weapon for who knows how long. The better idea is for Tigre to marry Lim and for Ellen then join them after she quits her Vanadis job, that is probably the best solution for things unless something changes soon.

Zchted was not the only one surprised by the news of Sachstein invading Brune. to the south of Brune there was a country called Muozinel. The man known as Redbeard, Kreshu Shaheen Baramir hearty laughs at the clear skies. Bending his knees in front was Kreshu was the man brought him the news that Brune was invaded. He was Damad.
Damad comments that although Sachstein pulled a fast one on them, he doesn't think Sachstein has the power to destory Brune. Kreshu replies that he doesn't think Sachstein wants to destroy Brune, only take land and gold.
Sachstein attacked Brune. Kreshu is worried about their purpose. If Sachstein conquers Brune, then they will become a large power. To that end that means they must have made several preparations. According to the reports, Sachstein invaded with 70,000 troops. In his opinion, this was not enough to defeat Brune.
Kreshu starts thinking. Now he is not sure if they can just attack Brune anymore. What will happen if they march onto Brune right now.
They could attack Sachstein and then finish off a weaken Brune. Or they could attack Brune and then Sachstein.
In the worst case scenario both Brune and Sachstein would join forces to stop them. If Kreshu commanded Sachstein he would try to enter diplomatic talks with Brune no matter what even if he had say the invasion was a mistake. That was the type of man Kreshu was.

Kreshu calls to Damad and asks him what he thinks Tigre will do. Going over Tigre's history, Damad reasons out and explains that Tigre would come to Brune's rescue and fight Sachstein. Damad had examined that Tigre had literally zero personal reason to stand up against Muozinel two years ago. He came to conclusion that Tigre was someone who can not abandon the people. When he examined Alsace, he was certain his conclusion was true.
Kreshu asks if he captured some people as hostages if Tigre would surrender. Damad answers that as the battle of Agnes had shown, it wouldn't stop Tigre. Therefore Damad is certain that Tigre will return to Brune to fight, even if he is by lonesome.
Satisfied with his answer, Kreshu tells Damad to send a messenger to Sachstein. He wants to ask them if they won't join forces to divide up Brune. Until then they will only look.
When Damad asks if they will really just look, Kreshu tells not doing anything at all wouldn't be good. He wants 20,000 troops to start heading towards Olmutz (the land governed by mira). Damad asks if it was going to be a feint. Kreshu confirms it but says not to think of it as feint to attacking Brune but also as a feint to attacking Zchted. Laughing, Kreshu quiz Damad in why he is sending two squadrons. Damad answers that one will be scouting the terrain for a route to invade Olmutz while the other looks for a route to invade Brune through Agnes. Kreshu nods and says that the army must not give away their real intentions and must look as if they are going to attack Olmutz. Ceding Agnes to Zchted was Brune's way of letting Zchted deal with Muozinel instead. But in the case this opens up two options for their army. Not a single Muozinel soldier has moved yet but the war has already began in the earnest.
