If there was a second season it'd probably be more SoL-y since that's basically what the LNs are. The overarching plot of saving the park is resolved in Volume 1. The anime took some parts from the later volumes and mixed it in, though they did a pretty good job of it and the author even preferred the changes they made. Right now, Gatoh is trying to figure out a way to get Latifah into Kanye's school so they she has something to do (and also so he can have her wear a school uniform)
