It's kind of what I'd imagine an abusive relationship would be like.

There was something appealing that made you get into it (cute girls, fun reaction faces, shaft styling, etc) but then things just keeping getting worse and worse. I really love the Monogatari series and I think it handles deconstruction a lot better. I guess it just comes down to a preference in NisiOisiN's writing.

People take this show too seriously, its a romantic comedy with no real plot progression but the girls are cute and the antics of each characters are pretty funny. Also, the manga has the best reaction faces.

At this point I only watch it for reaction faces and one-episode gag plots. Anything that looks like a multi-episode plot progression arc is just a gimmick to trick the masses into believing that there's a real story being told, with everything returning to the status quo after said arc.

I like the character Marika (and her fervent supporter), though, and I would even if she were in a different work.

people were baited into getting into it and won't let go. The guy set up an interesting romance story in the beginning and his art and comedy work very well together. Nothing could go wrong people thought. Then suddenly more and more girls join the harem and more of them have a key for the lock he has. The lock itself is sometimes forgotten for the harem side of the series. The plot also does not progress at all such as how a possible romance development could have been made a couple chapters ago but was then ended immediately with the mc saying and meaning he sees chitoge as his best friend.

I dropped it at chapter 129. Has anything of note happened? Should I get back on the wagon?
