I hate Index and love Railgun, so I'd say yes, but a lot of retards on here seem to feel the opposite way. I'd say the shows are very different at least, so you shouldn't draw conclusions about one from the other.

If you hate slice of life, you will not like Railgun, if you like slice of life, you might really come to like it. There are some explosions and superpowers and whatnot, but it's got enough SoL that I think that's what defines whether people like it.

Likewise, Index is punching and long speeches followed by punching. Something I have no tolerance for but a lot of people like.

Or maybe it's because when people say they like Index more than Railgun they're talking about the LN and Manga. Also Railgun anime had a lot of anime original filler Nagai fanfiction. Railgun S 2-16, minus Cloverfield episode, were the best adapted part of the franchise that's for sure. Too bad Nagai hated that part.

But it does seem some of you guys really like the Index anime, which I cannot understand.

And the anime-only Railgun arcs aren't as bad as you guys make them out to be. No denying the Railgun version of Sisters is the best part of any of it, but if you watch the anime before reading the manga, what's made up isn't really noticeable.

I've read the manga, but I saw the anime first. This has undoubtedly colored my opinions, but in that order I actually like the Nagai stuff somewhat.

But the fact that an anon can say he dropped the Index anime after a few episodes, and any replies are criticized for being about the anime and not the LNs (which there is no way that anon is going to jump in and read after a couple anime episodes he hated) just bugs me.

Anime is faster to watch and easier to find than manga or LNs. Reading the source material is great, and worthwhile when you like something, but this attitude of no one being allowed to watch an anime without already having read the source material is nuts.

I refuse to believe I'm the only person that picks up LNs or manga based on anime, rather than the other way around. In fact the way the industry works, even in moonland, expects anime to boost sales of the original works.

Wish people would, if not give advice about anime on /a/, at least be tolerante of others talking about anime. It's getting absurd.

Simple observation. There is not a lot of pro-Mikoto posting related to novel events to begin with. Just look at the reactions for the NT12 afterword. Pretty split between surprise and disappointment. Fans mostly talk about the manga or the anime, where as Othinus fans seem more in quantity and participate more in novel discussions.
