P4GTA is an anime masterpiece.

I discovered the series through P4's anime. I wanted to check out the series and decided that was the best way to gauge how much I'd enjoy it. I really appreciated the anime a lot more after finishing the game twice.

Because you don't choose his personality in arena m80 and however much you struggle it's confirmed cannon. Coincidentally establishing a personality in any game consistently, retroactively changes his personality in other games making your play through the variant.
Correct me if I'm wrong but it also feels like P4A is inline with the personality of P4:A and P4:AU which would make that characterisation also cannon or highly likely.

Unless you wanted to say that PQ is inline with the personality of P4:A and P4:AU, that's not really true.
The Arena and Ultimax Yu is definitely different from the anime Yu, while you can be blame it on the fact that the stories in both games happen in few hours meaning there wasn't really enough time to for him to show anything else than "MUH BONDS", the difference is definitely there. PQ Yu however is a great mix of his both personalities, but that means he still isn't like in the first anime.
Either way Yu had a personality in 3 games now, soon it will be 4 since he is not a silent protag in P4D, out of which one happened in the middle of P4.
everyone is forgetting that P4G and PQ confirmed that there not only are multiple universes, but Yu can contact with his other selves in those universes. His anitsocial Hitler Stalin is just a protagonist in a different universe, not the one we're following

The P3 movies are arguably better storywise than the games. They gave the MC more character and personality with his conflict over ending the Dark Hour and such.

This also may be because I haven't played it in a long time so I don't remember, but the fact that Ikutski is a traitor also seems better portrayed, since he actually does and says a few things that are pretty sketchy and suspicious that I don't remember from the game.
