What is this expression trying to convey?
>>
>>123814892
He's a mouth-breather.
>>
>>123814892
the fuck did i just watch
>>
It's trying to convey memes
>>
>>123816373
It was weird.
In the last hologram time travel thing scene, is the man sleeping on the bench with the woman the man being interrogated?
>>
>Anno puts his hands on anime shorts, one of the few things that generally are still good
>everything turns into trash
good job holy shit
>>
>>123817210
>there are still people who think that Anno has any creative control over these shorts.
>>
people are still watching that shit?
>>
BAHIBAHI
>>
>>123817224
He have decisional control on what to release under his label
>>
>>123817268
I have no idea what the approval process for these shorts is and how much Anno himself actually is involved in it.
>>
>>123817268
>label
What? Go back to /mu/ or something.

How plebeian is it thinking anime shorts (like WUG Zoo and such) are generally good but a project giving full creative control to people like Imaishi, Okiura and Utsunomiya is bad? I would say it it's the most plebeian opinion possible.
>>
>>123817433
>go back to /mu/
>plebeian this plebeian that
yeah ok buddy. anime shorts are shit like Nekojiro and other indipendent stuff, not visual diharrea like WUG
and you, thinking that something is automatically worthwhile because there are popular names involved, now that's really a discerning opinion uh?
>>123817367
Considering how nip pr works, his decisonal power is limited for sure, but considering his autism and his "istitutionally recognized savior of anime industry" status he could had refused some of this crap for sure.
>>
>>123814892
Why was this short so ugly?

That's Utsunomiya's designs. I like them. Ugly isn't necessarily a bad thing.
>>
>>123817837
If we're talking about "ugly" designs, I prefer Ohira's drawing style to Utsunomiya's. The latter's designs look like retarded puppets.
>>
Could anyone spot Bahi's cuts?
>>
>>123817929
I think around 4:43 or at 2:50.
>>
>>123817904
I don't think Ohira's style is ugly.
It maybe rough but it's aesthetically pleasing.

Utsunomiya doesn't seem to be a strong draftsman like other realist animators.
>>
>>123817666
Hey pal. Imaishi may be a popular name but not many people know Utsunomiya or Takashi Nakamura even if they are legends in the industry and they're rarely given chances to do their own things. So yes, any project that gathers these people is "automatically worthwhile".

Sure some of it has been crap but most of the shorts are good and show distinct talents. Some have been amazing. If every other short was bad after roach girl that still would have made the whole thing worthwhile.

He just seems to like mannequin like characters that are easy to animate. In Gosenzo-sama the characters even had lines breaking the joints of major limbs making them look super mannequin-esque.
>>
>>123818200
Didn't seem very Bahi to me.
>>
>>123814892
I just wish they'd check their premises with someone who finished highschool.
>>
Was Tetsuya Takeuchi inspired by Utsunomiya?
>>
so what happened at the end?
His face sure looked sad at the end.
>>
>>123818324
It's very plausible. I've read he's inspired by Inoue at least.

He inspired a whole generation of realist animators.

I can recognize Iso, Ohira and Utsunomiya, but that's it.

This guys always reminds me of Utsunomiya with his mannequin-like figure.

He was but people like to consider him a contemporary of Miyazaki because they worked on many anime together.

Where does Ikuhara belong on this chart? I know that he influenced Anno in some ways, but who was Ikuhara influenced by?
>>
>>123821772
Dezaki? Anyway, that chart's for animators.

>>123821772
It's a chart about animators. Ikuhara is a director.

Anyway, i made this a while ago but I'm not sure if it's accurate.
>>
>>123821447
There are no influence lines going from Kanada and it bothers me.
>>
>>123821891
The chart is focused mostly on the realist school animators.
There's probably a chart about the Kanada school somewhere.
>>
>>123821447
No Okiura or Inoue in there?
>>
>>123822022
Inoue didn't want to put himself on the chart, apparently.
Both Okiura, Inoue are influenced by Takashi Nakamura, Utsunomiya and a bit of Iso.
>>
>>123821468
I like how Otogi Pro is the only one that just came and disappeared
